Holy Access

Text: Matt.4:1-10
More Lessons: Psa.24:7-10

Of all the sense organs of the human system, the loss of sight for me is the most traumatic, especially for the blind that once saw. You lose the beauty of colours, scenery and God's blue sky and deep blue sea. The blind man has no access to anywhere except by aid. In our Christian journey, we are empowered to have access to God every moment of the day for as long as we are correctly connected to Him.

Any time we are disconnected from God, Satan takes advantage to lure us into ungodly acts. In our passage for today, Satan wanted to give Jesus an unholy access. In Matt.4:9, Satan told Jesus- “....all these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me…” Did Jesus say He didn't have them? When Jesus wanted to answer, did He say Satan lied and that he was not the owner of all the glory on all the face of the earth? No, He left it for another day to pay back. After, He died on the Cross of Calvary, the Bible says the veil of the holy of holies tore open providing a holy access. Jesus then followed up to hell to take back from Satan the very key he ceased from Adam in order to release the saints that were held captive from the days of old (Psa.24:7). No wonder the Bible says, when Jesus resurrected, in the city of Jerusalem they saw the saints that died walking on the streets (Matt.27:51-52). People identified them. The glory that Satan said was his own and he needed Jesus to worship him for a lease, Jesus went down to hell and got it from Satan by the instrumentality of His shed blood. The moment He died on the cross of Calvary and paid the price, He walked up to Satan and said, I have paid the price.

When a man pays for a product, the product goes home with him. Jesus got to the door and said “I have properties inside” and He began to quote the scripture, in verse 7 of our second passage. Ye everlasting doors, symbolize all benefits that are shut against your destiny in their large numbers. I command them to be lifted that the King of glory may come in. If you want your destiny to open, open the door. Your success is at the door. Your breakthrough is at the door. Your glory is at the door. The manifestation of God is at the door, your children are at the door, your financial manifestation is at the door, just waiting for you to say, be ye lifted, ye everlasting doors.

Prayer/Action.
* Ask God for strength and divine direction to your destiny.
* Because Jesus has paid the price, command satan to hands off all that belong to you.
* Command the gates to open and your inheritance be released today.
* Ask God to grant you access to all the doors that have ever been shut against you.

Rise Up and Walk

Text: Acts3:1-8
More Lessons: Mk.16:15-18

I was preaching somewhere in Kaduna North West Nigeria a couple of years ago when right in the church, a lady I who had difficulty with her legs came in limping on crutches while the service was in progress. On noticing her, I was moved in my spirit and I called her to bring the stick to me and go back to her sit. As soon as she dropped her stick, she walked back on her legs without the crutches and that was the end of that situation. Being crippled can be spiritual and physical. You can be crippled in business, academics, health and the like. Whatever crippled you, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to rise up and walk.

Anyone who is born with two legs should be able to walk. Anyone who went to school should be able to feed himself/herself. This man in our text was crippled and couldn't walk. He was born crippled and the parents could not help him. It was not his fault that he was born cripple. There are many of us suffering afflictions and pains we never had a hand in their coming. I make a declaration today, not as I was born but as I was commissioned by the LORD that for every of such you never knew how they came; rise up and walk. Where ever you are on the surface of the earth today, I command you, rise up and walk. You will give your testimony in Jesus' name. Every story that has filled your life with a filthy result, I command you rise up and walk.

For the crippled man in this passage, all his mates had gone far ahead of him. It is not correct that your mates are higher than you, I take you back to your rightful position; take it in the name of Jesus. The day they gave birth to him, he had a name. But that name was swallowed by the situation he found himself. In fact, the Bible says of him " a certain man lame..." His situation swallowed his name. Every negative situation that swallowed your name and destiny, I command that situation to vomit you now in the mighty name of Jesus. Verses 7-8 of our passage indicate how Peter took the cripple by the right hand, and lifted him up immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he arose walking, and leaping, and praising God.

Your miracle will announce you to the world. He was brought to the entrance of the temple daily. Every situation that has daily limited you, I command that situation to be replaced with daily blessings in the mighty name of Jesus.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray and receive strength for every weak area of your life in Jesus' name.
* Ask God for a lifting up in your career, home, academics, etc.
* Command all situations that are dead and contrary to your destiny to rise up and walk.
* Like Peter, command every challenge with which you were born to break off you

Prospering Anywhere

Text: Gen.26:1-14
More Lessons: III Jn.1:2

Every child of God is an automatic candidate for prosperity. There is nothing we ask from God that He didn't make them available long before we were born. The delays to having answers to our prayers are most often caused by our ignorance or inability to do our own bit of the covenant. Painfully, our part of the covenant with God is so infinitesimal yet we allow situations to blow them out of proportion for us. Take the issue of salvation for instance, God's role in making Jesus available is far greater a part of the covenant; ours is just to believe.

It is like a mathematical equation of God's role taking 99.9% to our .1% .God wants to proper His children but so many of us have placed barriers upon ourselves as a result of what we do or what we wrongly construe as barriers. Not all obstacles are barriers, most of them are stepping stones carefully arranged by God's angels to lead us to our divine destinies. Our ability or inability to comprehend this determines how far and how well we go in destiny fulfillment.

Our passage talks about Isaac and the issue of prosperity. From this passage it is clear that prosperity is not first an environmental affair. Prosperity is not necessarily about what your enemy is doing, has done or is about to do to your matter. Do you know why? The Bible says in Psalm23:5 that,”Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over”.

This is a clear confirmation. In this scripture, David said, in the presence of my enemies, my cup overflows. I declare unto you today that no matter what the situations are, you will overflow with employment, children, abundance and breakthrough right in the presence of your enemies in the mighty name of Jesus. In Gen.26:1which land did the Lord say Isaac should go? Gerar. Which land did He say he should not go? Egypt. What was the result? Gen. 26:13 says, “And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great”. Therefore the type of land which you dwell is not the case, it is what you do with the divine instructions you receive from God that makes the great difference. In Gen.26:14, Isaac prospered so much that the people around envied him. The land of your birth or the town where you work have nothing to do with your prosperity. If as a child of God you are rightly connected to Him, He will make you prosper irrespective of your geographical location or occupation.

Prayer/Action.
* Declare upon your life God's divine prosperity that has no regards for human positioning.
* Pray that God will change your prosperity mentality to connect with His divine plan for your life
* Ask God to make you an Isaac to your generation.

God Owns Seasons

Text: Psa.68:9-19
More Lessons: Gen.49:22-26

One of the greatest lessons of life is that you cannot give what you do not have. A prince should ordinarily have no problem at all in having access to belongings of his father's kingdom. He is at liberty to ask for whatever he wants from his father without going through any other protocol. For us as God's children and co-heirs with Christ to the heavenly throne, our privileges and rights are boundless because Jesus had already paid the price. David records one of such benefits we have from God when he said, “O Lord, send us plenty of rain”. Academic excellence for instance, is a form of rain; so also financial breakthrough in business, ministry advancement, marital bliss and the like. Every day in the life of a child of God is loaded with benefits.

God is so gracious that long before you wake up, the benefits are all yours for the asking. V 19 of our first passage says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation”. Why daily? He owns the day so He uploads for you to download. Its left for you to chose within you whether you want to be part of the uploading or not. When the Bible says daily, it has been daily for years that we cannot count. How many people are ready to go to source and load their days? The Bible says, He created also the days, the seasons and the years. So how do you start your day? By going to the One who created the seasons, the days and the years; and what do you do when you get there? You ask Him for what and how your seasons, your years and your days should be. I counsel you to ask for plentiful rain that must be downloaded daily.

The man who writes a ten million naira worth of cheque spends the same minutes in writing ten naira worth of cheque. In a single day's prayer, God can settle all that remains for the rest of the year and all you need do is downloading because the downloading is done daily. That is why Jesus asks us to pray daily, “so give us this day, our daily bread” not our weekly bread.

Today, I add goodness and mercies to every of your day in 2013. Every time you wake up, goodness, mercy, advancement and the glory of God will be waiting at your bed side in the name of Jesus. Because every day is loaded with the presence of the Lord, you will triumph. Satan did not give you this year; he will not take it from you. Satan did not give you this day; he will not add evil to it for you. Seasons are in the hands of God, every season will record goodness for your destiny.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray that all the days of your life be uploaded with the fullness of God in the name of Jesus.
* He that keeps you will not sleep nor slumber.
* Proclaim the remaining days of the year heavily loaded with goodness for you in the name of Jesus.

God Owns All

Text: Gen.1:13-14
More Lessons: Matt.6:16-20

The day we come to the understanding that when we die we will take no money or material things with us to heaven, all the hatred, animosity and confrontations will dissolve. In verse 14 of our passage God created the seasons; He created days, He also created years, thereby making the issue of calendar not the doing of any man after all. You are likely to be tempted to think that, calendars are just the creation of man to make for better orderliness and arrangements.

The issue of calendar is spiritual because it has a backing and an origin in the spirit. In other words, there is a dimension of spirit affair in calendar. Because God is Spirit, if He created something therefore, that thing has an origin in the spirit. That also tells us that calendars are not just spiritual; they are spiritual on the side of God, because something can be spiritual on the side of evil and it can be spiritual on the side of God. The kingdom of darkness has no hand in the issue of what is the root of calendar; the root of calendar is in God, God created it. There are different types of calendar, but the creation of days and years are the handy work of the Almighty God. We have the Gregorian, the Jewish and even the Islamic calendars that are man- made except for the Jewish calendar that has its origin in Exodus12:2. Because God is the one who created times and seasons, He also takes responsibilities for whatsoever happens inside them. What happens in the calendar is in God's hands because He created all and owns all. Things can't just happen anyhow to a Christian who has this understanding because he knows for sure that God created the days and the days are in His hands.

When you grab the understanding that God created the seasons and the seasons are in His hands, do not allow Satan to take over or determine what happens in your days, in your years and your seasons because it has its root in your God. Your seasons cannot happen any how if you have the understanding that God is the owner of seasons. We have cold and hot seasons with each having peculiar challenges including health setbacks. However, if you have an understanding that seasons are owned by God and that whatever is of God is never negative but positive, then you can use that knowledge in the place of prayer and say, Father, you created seasons, there is no evil in You, this season shall not be evil for me.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray for clearer understanding of the seasons of God for your life and destiny.
* Declare your days redeemed from every evil.
* Reject every form of negative season and begin to command good seasons upon your life.
* Command Satan to take his hands off your life and seasons.

Prepare Ahead

Text: Gen.1:1-12
More Lessons: Psa.91:1-11

There are many reasons why people fail in assignments given to them by their superior officers or even when they, on their own set targets for themselves. Most often we hear people make New Year resolutions that they hardly ever keep even for a couple of days into the year. Part of the reasons why we fail is because we enjoy procrastination rather than endure the pains of commitment to our goals. We should not wait till the day of to start fasting and praying, fast and pray now.

We should not wait until the day when we have financial crisis and begin to look for how to open the windows of heaven; open the windows of heavens now. Don't start looking for financial principles to deal with all manners of financial debt; open the windows before you start having the crisis of lack on the ground. Open the windows with your tithes, offerings and everything that is available in you that can open the heavens. Open them ahead of any loop hole, open it up. Open the windows of the heavens. Put certain authorities of God on ground, that if anything attempts to hit that ground, what you have done ahead collects the weapons and throws the shell on the ground. That is what the Bible means when it says, with your eyes you will behold the work of the wicked and it shall not come near thee. This means that though you see it happening around, it cannot reach you because you have put certain things in place. When we are this guided by the Holy Spirit, whatever God has promised us will come to pass exactly as He promised. If you give up fasting and prayer and begin to live a reckless life, you move out of God’s cover and consequently expose yourself to crises.

The Bible tells us about the faithfulness of God that is new every morning. This means yesterday's faithfulness is not sufficient for today, hence you need His fresh faithfulness for every day. This is exemplified in His provision of fresh manna for the children of Israel in the wilderness enough for each day. Therefore, whenever you are thanking God in the night for the day just ending, get ready for the next morning breaking forth with His mercies available for you even before you wake up. God’s faithfulness and mercies are endlessly provided for us. All we need to do is to remain connected to Him and tap into this ever increasing care from our loving, tireless Father.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray that throughout lifetime He who created the heavens and the earth will w over you.
* Ask that no matter the plans of the enemy, you will be victorious in Christ Jesus.
Take a decision under God today never to procrastinate over that project and assignment anymore.

Destiny Refocusing

Text: Exo.13:17-22
More Lessons: Joel2:21-27

One of the lasting lessons about the deliverance of Israel from Egypt is that there was a change of location. First they moved from Egypt to the wilderness from where they got to Canaan, the Land of Promise. Every location that is contrary to your destiny, any location that is against you, any location that is uncomfortable and is satanic infested, by the power of God that took Israel out of Egypt, you are brought forth in the name of Jesus. When brought them forth the first thing to note is change. There was also a refocusing of destiny and a change in finances thereby changing them from the position of being slaves to great people. Anything from your ancestors to your grand children, whatever they are called that enslaved you, I break that slavery by the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus' mighty name.

Many Israelites perished in Egypt in slavery. Those who were alive the day God took them out of Egypt should count themselves privileged because some people died there. Even the man who took them there died there. Today, there are several believers that are dying in slavery. They are believers, tongue talkers, they know God, but the chain over them has not been broken. Some lived and died inside it. That will not be your portion. As some people lived and died in slavery in Egypt, some people were born into it but they did not die there.

They were born in the land of captivity, the land of the enemy, the land of affliction and slavery, they were born in it but they didn't die inside it. I declare that you are part of the numbers that didn't die inside it. Nobody has a choice of where to be born and which family to come through. The Israelites that were born in captivity had no choice. They had no choice over where they were born but they had a promise on ground to take them to where they ought to be. As the Lord God Almighty lives, whatever you have no choice over in birth, you will have a choice in living.

You will not live in poverty and affliction. The Israelites by living Egypt had a change of destiny; they were changed from a people called slaves and strangers to a land where they were no longer strangers. The Bible says, “He brought them forth also with silver and gold” Psa.105:37. 2013 is indebted to you with silver and gold. I command 2013 to pay you what it owes you. 2013 owes you money, breakthrough, and good health, take it in Jesus name.

Prayer/Action.
* Ask the Lord to change every location of evil where you have found yourself.
* Ask God to change your status and give you substance with silver and gold.
* Declare that by the grace of God, you will not be feeble any more on all levels.

Divine Wealth

Text: Exo.12:35-36
More Lessons: Matt.6:31-34

There are several passages in the Bible that prove very clearly that God's ways are not our ways and  neither are His thoughts our thoughts. How do you explain a situation where a group of people enslaved for years will, on the last night of their freedom, come to you and borrow precious items from you and you willingly give them? You lend items to people who will end up refunding, not to people who are leaving you forever. The children of Israel were leaving Egypt and they were borrowing precious items from the Egyptians. What kind of law is this? Somebody is leaving forever and that is when he/she is borrowing from you, and he/she is not borrowing because he got a good job, he is borrowing because he is going to the forest. What kind of economic wisdom was that? The Bible explains that God gave them favour. By favour this year, you will not beg, favour will go ahead of you this year. By favour you will find money. Those who have said no to you in destiny will return to give to you that which you were denied in the mighty name of Jesus.

The Bible says concerning the children of Israel that God brought them forth, which means it was by His doing in a mighty way. For 430 years, Israel was groaning, praying and begging under slavery that God will take them forth out of Egypt. Joseph was the first person in Egypt to prophesy. Abraham was told by the Lord that his children will be strangers, they will go to a strange land, they will sojourn there, but by mighty power He will bring them forth out of that place to another land.

When Abraham died, Joseph stood up and told his brethen about their deliverance ahead and how that they should carry his bones with them to Canaan. 430 years of prayer, prophesying and of labour but it eventually happened one day by power. There are instances that because of how long a matter had lasted; we get discouraged in the place of prayer. It should not be so because every day takes you closer to the appointed day of your answer than the previous day. God will bring you forth this year and by His power you will break through the evil of every month. You will not receive an evil report and evil report will not be reported about you. You will not send an evil report. The power of God will take you from where you are to where you want to go.

Prayer/Action.
* Ask the Lord to mark you now as one of the people that shall come forth.
* Pray for sufficient power to deal with the evil of the day.
* Declare that the evil you hear about will not touch you.
Make up your mind that you will not walk by your own power but that the power of God will walk you through.

Fasting

Text: Matt.4:1-10
More Lessons: Isa.58:6-9

Fasting is one of the fundamental pillars of the Christian faith. Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ gave us a sound example in fasting when He did so for forty days. What do you think Jesus was looking for? Power? Which power? It was not for power and I think it is erroneous when people tell us that Jesus fasted for forty days and it was only after then He was able to begin to manifest power; that is an error. Jesus didn't need a fast to move the earth. At 12 years of age, He sat down with doctors of the law answering questions to the amazement of His hearers. If on that day He wanted the earth to shift, it would have obeyed Him. It is not to say that we don't find power when we fast; there are a lot of manifestations of the power of God when we fast.

Jesus taught us two basic lessons by His fasting; first to give us a pattern that fasting is one of the ways we can touch the heart of God and bring things to happen on the surface of the earth. And secondly, He wants us to see the connection between prayer and fasting. Prayer is easier in the place of a fast. You have less energy to pray but you have faster penetration when you fast and pray.

There is what is called power habit, power habit means, the kind of things a particular person does to have the power of God move upon his life, and it differs from person to person. For some people, they cannot preach a major message except they have run three days fasting and prayer. That is how they are activated. There are ministers that if they have not sung songs, they can't push out, so when they get to the pulpit, they must sing and worship, then you kick- start them. Don't copy people any how; just find out which one is your own. It is the same thing about fasting. In the Old Testament days, people fasted and got wonderful results. Moses fasted for forty days twice, Esther and the entire Jews in exile fasted for three days (marathon) kings and prophets fasted and they all got God's attention.

In fasting, you are not bribing God by staying off food for a while; rather, as my father in the Lord once said, you are telling God that you desperately need His attention over certain issues so much that what flesh needs do not matter to you but the spiritual communion with Him. If God answered people in the Old Testament, you are better placed today for answers if you don't give up. May God grant speedy answers to your prayers and fasting.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray for strength to seek the LORD's face in fasting
* Ask God to increase your strength through fasting and prayer
? Take a day or two this week and fast over any matter that has bothered you for long.
? Isaiah 58:8 gives us certain things that we can use a fast to achieve, list them out from this verse and ask God for them one by one

Injury Time

Text: Rev.12:9-12
More Lessons: Rev.22:7-12

Injury time is about the most risky period in the game of football. When the entire 90 minutes time is over and it is injury time, it is usually far limited a time than the extent of play. This is the time that a little mistake could make the difference between the two teams. Injury time is when mistakes committed are hardly corrected. In the Christian race, suffice it to say that we are already in the injury time; or what we generally know as the end time. Our passage for today says the dragon and his angels were cast out into the earth. That is the origin of demons. When they got to the face of the earth their activities were not less than their rebellion in heaven.

The consequences of Satan being cast down onto the earth is seen in verse 12. The earth is cursed by the coming of Satan because he fell with great wrath. We have a wounded, defeated and angry enemy that has understandably refused to accept defeat and go to hell alone. Satan's greatest problem is that he has limited time. Man is the enemy of Satan because he has what Satan lost in heaven and God had given him dominion over everything He created. Man has the ability for anything on earth as God has the ability for anything in heaven. Satan does not have ability for anything at all. The dominion that Satan sought for and lost in heaven was given by God to man. Satan is angry because he has lost it all. He lost it in heaven and he lost it on earth. The only thing left for Satan is to fight with limited time. So whatever Satan is doing, he puts all he has got into it and he does his warfare with great speed.

If from the fall of Satan he had a short time left, how much less time left for him in this end time? Because we are in the injury time how angrily do you think that Satan will operate? We are at war and Satan is working harder than ever before. War is ongoing but unfortunately, quite a number of Christians are asleep. This is not the time to relax or relapse; you are in this battle destined to be a victor, not a victim.

Considering the danger in lukewarmness, the Bible encourages those doing good to continue in their godliness. However, God warns the ungodly that the time is fast approaching when the Son of Man shall return with rewards for everybody as determined by our works. Though God’s eternal desire is for us to be rewarded for good works done in His vineyard; nevertheless, the ungodly will not escape His wrath and judgement.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray that the Lord will make you a victor and not a victim.
* Ask God to reverse anything in you that can make you miss heaven.
* Pray that you will not be a victim of Satan’s last minute membership drive.
* Make up your mind to serve God in a renewed strength and service till rapture.

Divine Noise

Text: II Kings7:1-7
More Lessons: Ezek.37:1-10

The Lord told me this morning, “Your enemy will hear a noise and they will surrender”. God told me T this morning that, “There will be exploits without stress”. There is a level of expression that tells God in heaven that I am needed here. Even in times of depression, shout hallelujah and remain connected to God. I never had a shout of hallelujah without a manifestation of results. The armies of Syria heard noise and ran. When your enemy hears your shout this month they will flee. There is a shout that barreness hears and it flees. There is a shout that sickness hears and it flees. There is a prophetic shout that you will give this morning, those who need to hear it as a warning will hear it, those who need to hear it as a gunshot will hear it and they will surrender. Today by a shout, I expel every force and turn every problem into a testimony. I turn your frustration to a celebration.

I connect you with II kings 7 and give you the courage to confront every opposition in your life in Jesus' name. Receive the courage to do the unusual in Jesus' name. I make your enemy's location empty. The stronghold of your enemy will no longer be inhabited in Jesus' name. The Bible says they found no man there. God will go ahead of you throughout the year, and by the end of the year you will be celebrated. The Syrian armies left the camp without taking anything with them. These lepers had a cheap harvest. What you do not have the money to buy will be given to you free. That thing you are looking for you will get it free in Jesus' name. Receive your healing, scholarship and job free. How did Israel get it free? Look at verse 6; “For the Lord had made the host of Syria to hear a noise..........”. He that went ahead of Israel for 40 years, and also went ahead of the lepers to clear the way will go ahead of you in 2013 and beyond in the mighty name of Jesus.

The king of Israel was sleeping at home but God was fighting on his behalf. The enemy must hear your noise and surrender to you. Whatever they took from you will be recovered in full by the special help of God. In the valley of dead dry bones Ezekiel prophesied as he was commanded by God and great exploits followed. Likewise, I prophesy and supernatural exploits to your destiny thenceforth more than ever before in Jesus' name. Every limitation that you have in your destiny I command them to go right

Prayer/Action.
* Every altar that has hitherto stood against you declare them fallen in the name of Jesus
* In 2013, excellent exploits where doors open on their own accord will happen for you.
* Whatever you desire begin to mention and declare them granted with your own mouth.

The Mystery of Shouting

Tuesday, 19 November
Text: I Sam.4:4-8
More Lessons: Josh.6:15-20

To any lover of the game of football, shouting is a regular act. Spectators shout in the stadium to motivate players on the field to action or to appreciate good moves (either dribbling or goals scored). In our relationship with God, shouting does same and even much more. In I Sam.4:4-8, when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth vibrated. “And when the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, What meaneth the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews? And they understood that the ark of the LORD was come into the camp” v6

Israel without any exception shouted when the ark of God entered their camp. Today you are that mobile ark, the tabernacle of Jehovah in whom the Holy Spirit dwells. You are better positioned to shout than the children of Israel did. When you shout unto God, the enemies announce their own downfall: “And the Philistines were afraid, for they said; God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore” v7. Do you know that the enemy has a record of your greatness? The Philistines said, “Woe unto us! Who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness”V8. However, this shout did not save the Israelites because they shouted in sin. Because sin separates us from God, this kind of shout does not work for the Israelites who were in sin. You remember also that while Israel was on her way to Canaan, one of the most fortified cities they needed to conquer was Jericho. Bible history tells us that Jericho was about the most fortified city of the time.

Nevertheless, God instructed Joshua what to do and as Joshua strictly followed the instructions which the leaders and all Israel obeyed, shout played a prominent role in the inevitable collapse of the wall of Jericho. Josh.6:20 says, So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. This was no ordinary shout, but as ordained, instructed and empowered by God. By the leading of that same God that does not change, you are empowered to shout at every wall of Jericho on your way to your Canaan and such walls will collapse.

Prayer/Action.
* Shout out all the enemies of your finances out of your destiny.
* Command the spirit of failure out of your destiny.
* Thou Jericho between me and my Canaan, I shout you down in Jesus' name

Shout of Praise

Text: Isa.12:6
More Lessons: Psa.98:6-9

Some years ago as a student in Kwara State School of Basic Studies. I was facing a particular situation that made me cry for sometimes. Then I decided to go to an open field to shout praises to God for 30 minutes. Friend, that problem did not last for two days before I got the victory. Next time there is no one around to share your problem with, shout praises unto God. I once asked our father Daddy E.A. Adeboye this question, “Why shout halleluyah?” He replied that Satan hates the shout of Halleluyah. Give your enemy what he hates. When you shout praises because negative things are happening around you, Satan is defeated.

One of my excitements in praise is the secret of it that I understand. There are a few things I know about praises and many things it has done in my life. If there is a multipurpose tablet in the Christian world, that tablet is praise. It reverses the enemy's activities. I have not seen anything that is needful for God that praise is not useful for. Praise is useful for all times. Praise is a singular multi-faceted tool that God has given us. The dimension of praise I want to share with you today is SHOUT. The Bible admonished in the Old Testament that the priests be clothed with righteousness and the saints shout for joy. Praise can be manifested in form of shouting. Isa.12: 6: says, “Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel n the midst of thee”. In this scripture, there s a command; shout. Why? Because of joy. Shout is an expression that goes with joy. In his scripture, it is so clear that one of the ways we can express the presence of God in our midst is with a shout. God's appearances in most occasions in the Old Testament were heralded with shout. When God comes into a situation, there is a shout. This means you can do a shout of praise to invite God into a situation.

Why do we have a shout when God is involved in a matter? This is because shout is an expression or a reaction that God is present in a matter and the presence of God brings greatness into a matter. David said: “Shout for the presence of God in your midst is great” This is because something extraordinary has entered into your midst. You can either use shout to invite the presence of God into a matter or to celebrate God in a situation. These are the wo things you can do with shout. As you shout praises to God, the Lord will arise and destroy your enemies in Jesus' name.

Prayer/Action.
* Shout praises and drive the spirit of affliction out of your body.
* Loudly command the spirit of fear out of your destiny.
* Declare a holy coordinated shout against disappointment and barrenness of all kinds.
* Declare that your shout of praise will manifest God in your situation.

There is a King in You II

Text: Luke17:21
More Lessons: I Cor.6:9-11

Time and space will fail us to examine in detail some powerful examples like that donkey that Jesus rode at his memorable triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Matt.21:7-8 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. Jesus was the focus of that celebration but the donkey that bore Jesus on its back couldn't be separated from the honour as they removed their clothing to spread on the floor.

The ordinary donkey galloped with its dirty hoofs on those precious clothes all because it had Jesus on its back. I can bet that donkey will never forget the event! It was the best day of its life and greatest honor any donkey ever had. You may never have had the opportunity to choose your father and mother and siblings before you were born into your earthy blood-line, but you have a yet greater opportunity, and that is to choose your spiritual family. For the spiritual is superior to the physical. There are two spiritual fathers, out there.

They are; God the Father After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name., And of course, Satan their father John8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. But those who choose the devil as their father, are called children of evil because the shame and darkness of the devil overshadows them and becomes their identity!

Those who choose God as their Father carry Christ the King in them and are called the sons of the King of kings. The name, honour and glory of the King is seen upon their lives because they are no ordinary people. Sickness and all manner of evils bow at our feet, because our words are the words of the King who is Lord over life and death; He is the Sovereign saviour! But the choice is yours! I beseech you to choose life in Christ the King. If there is a King with and in you then you are a royalty. Walk and live the royal life in Christ today and forever. There is hope for you! Jesus is Life!

Prayer/Action.
* Appreciate God for making you His child indeed.
* Tell God your Father what you need to fulfill your destiny
* Reject any attempt by Satan to father you.
* Promise God you will not walk away from Him.
* Reject every attraction of Satan to draw you to himself
* Tell Jesus again, I receive you as my Lord and Saviour

There is a King in You I

Text: Col.1:27
More Lessons: Matt.21:1-9

I realized that the office seat of a President is called the President's chair, the car of the Queen of England is called the Queen's car, and the house of the Mayor of any city is the Mayor's house. Though the chair, car and house are made from similar materials like others around the world, yet they are reckoned by a prestigious name and thus, accorded some honour simply because its owners are men and women of honour.

It is thrilling to note that even in the event of selling these properties, their prices escalate incredibly owing to the same reason; the former owners were honorable and respected people so the new buyers pay for both the price of the substance and the worth of the good will of its past and powerful owners. In the same light, the office chair of a sergeant is called a sergeant's chair and the house of a witchdoctor is easily referred to as a witch doctor's house. Possessions take the quality and repute of their possessors.

Life is really all about honour. Show me the people you honour and I'll show you how bright your destiny can be. There is such a thing as blessing by association. That is why you must be careful who you call your friends. They determine to a large extent whether life will be full of blessings or emptiness. Rahab the harlot became one of the great grandmothers of Jesus Christ yet she is still popularly known as the harlot because she was in the click that ran the prostitution show in Jericho. Josh.2:1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there. Why do we still make reference to the man that Jesus healed of blindness by the name of Bartimaeus as blind Bartimaeus?

Mk.10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Is it that we do not believe that Jesus really cleansed him? Of course we believe, but Mr. Bartimaeus long dwelling in blindness makes us to still refer to him as blind Bartimaeus. That is how powerful association and situations are. Now that we carry the Spirit of God in our inside it is our right to be named according to the name of the Lord. We are the sons of the King and we know who we are! Glory to the King of kings forever more!

Prayer/Action.
* Prayerfully reject any negative name you are known with today.
* Ask God to change your location to His glory.
* Pray for grace to live positive marks in your generation and beyond.
* Destroy by fire every evil memorial in the archieves of men that could be following you in life.
Don’t indulge in any act that will give you ungodly description.

12 Holy Healthy Habits II

Text: Gen.1:29
More Lessons: Rom.8:1-13

The first chapter of the book of Genesis contains not just facts and figures of the story of creation but also about God's recommended feeding habits for mankind. The diet God gave people at the beginning of creation was fruit, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds. Man was created by God to live on three dimensions. As a spirit, he leaves in a soul and has a body. And throughout Bible days and even contemporary times God is seen to be greatly participating in the spiritual, soul, and bodily wellbeing of His Children. God gave us His word and His Spirit to nourish our spirits, he gave us His love, joy and peace to nourish and renew our minds and also gives us timely instructions on how to live in good hygiene and health.

The Christian walk has been greatly misunderstood by some people to be strictly a spiritual voyage, giving directions only for the spirit dimension of man. On the contrary, the word of God is full of healthy feeding and living habits that even science has found to be the best way to live. Scripture- obeying people are the healthiest on earth because the Bible is balanced with wisdom and nourishment for the total man. Jesus says, "Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out" (John6:37). Jesus is ready to break the shackles that bind us (John1:12). He longs to set us free if only we will permit it. Our worries, evil habits, nervous tensions, and fears will be gone when we do His bidding (Philippians4:13). He says, These things have I spoken unto you ... that your joy might be full (John15:11). The devil says freedom is found in disobedience, but this is falsehood (John8:44). Take all of these habits to Christ and lay them at His feet. He will joyfully give you a new heart and the power you need to break any evil habit and become a child of God (Eze.11:18, 19).

Divine healing is God's responsibility to us but divine health is our responsibility to our bodies. The scripture is very clear about what your body really is; the temple of the Holy Spirit! Therefore, it must be handled in the most holy and honourable way by us, in a way that is suiting to the Lord of this temple.(1Cor.6:19). If this body is a temple, then we cannot afford to perform harmful experiments like using a cigarette to smoke it up because it is not a chimney, it is a temple!

Prayer/Action!
* Pray that by what you eat, you will never defile God’s temple that is your body.
* Ask God to heal you of any disease you might have developed out of disobedience to Biblical healthy directives.
Take a decision to stop any bad eating habit today.

12 Holy Healthy Habits I

Thursday, 14 November

Text: Prov.3:8
More Lessons: Psa.91

The Bible rates health right very high on the list of importance (3 John1:2). Man's mind, spiritual nature, and body are all interrelated and interdependent. God gave health rules because He knows what is best for the body (Deuteronomy6:24, Exodus23:25). A bond servant of Christ should eat and drink all to the glory of God - using only "that which is good" (Isa. 55:2, 1Corinthians10:31). If God said something is not fit to eat, He must have a good reason. He is not a dictator, but a loving Father. All His counsels are for our good. So if God withholds a thing from us, it is because such do not benefit us (Psalm84:11). Let us see a list of 12 Holy and totally healthy Habits dug up from the word of God:
1. Eat your meals at regular intervals (Ecclesiastes10:17).
2. Don' t overeat (Proverbs23:2, Luke21:34).
3. Make meal time a happy time (Ecclesiastes 3:13).
4. Don't harbour envy or hold grudges (Proverbs 14:30, Matthew 5:23,24).
5. Balance work and exercise with sleep and rest (Exodus20:9,10, Ecclesiastes 2:22,23; 5:12, Psalm127:2). 6. Keep your body clean (Isaiah52:11).
7. Avoid all harmful stimulants
8. Bury body waste to avoid disease (Deuteronomy23:12-13).
9. Avoid eating animals that were strangled (Acts 15:20,29;21:25).
10. Avoid eating animals that die by themselves (Leviticus17:15;22:8, Deuteronomy14:21, Ezekiel4:14).
11. Do not eat animal fat or blood (Genesis 9:4, Leviticus3:17; 7:23-27; 17:10-14, Deuteronomy12:16).
[Note: Recent scientific studies have confirmed the fact that most heart attacks result from a high cholesterol level in the blood -and that the use of "fats" is largely responsible for this high level. Also, the blood can transfer diseases. Science is just catching with the Bible. ]
12. Put full trust in the Lord (Proverbs 4:20-22;19:23).

God's counsels and rules are always for our good, just as good parents' rules and counsels are best for their children. God holds us accountable (James 4:17). The reason for restricting our diet is because we are the holy children of a holy God (Deuteronomy14:1-3).

Prayer/Action.
* Thank God for appropriate provision and food consumption.
* Repent of any abuse of food.
* Pray that God will provide food for the needy.
Share your food with somebody today.

Ingratitude

Wednesday, 13 November

Text: Psa.106:1-5,
More Lessons: Psa.95:1-3

When we talk about ingratitude it means any act that is at abeyance to been thankful. Verse 1 says, ...give thanks unto the LORD. It is foolishness to think negative of God because of what you are passing through. Somebody going through a very painful experience once said to me, “why me?” I responded that she should recommend who it should be. God is God no matter what happens; whether he has answered your prayers or not, He remains God. If you are a person who soon forgets what good somebody did for you yesterday, you are ungrateful. The first born children of the Egyptians were killed but God kept the children of Israel alive.

But verse 7 says...they remembered not. They forgot the good things God did for them too soon. To some other ingrates, it is impatience. God has been so faithful to you but because of one thing that He has not given you yet, you decide to be ungrateful. Some people take their response to the extreme by renouncing their faith in Christ.

Lust is another way you know an ingrate. When you have a desire that is so strong for something and you can't give God praise until you get it, you are showing gross ingratitude. An ingrate always complains. Ingrates are never satisfied, that is why they always complain. During the exodus of the children of Israel through the red sea, after seeing the miracle of the red sea they still complained to Moses that he brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.

The Bible says God overthrew them and their children. For you not to be an ingrate, you must learn to appreciate whatever good is done to you, no matter how small. Let the good that people did to you swallow the evil they did. Gratitude is a key to living a long life. Show gratitude for the life that you have today. Don't complain that you didn't enjoy your sleep, thank God for waking up alive and well. Do you have reasons to be grateful to God today? There are many people in the hospital right now with just one desire; to be healed. Take a look at yourself where you are, healthy and fine yet with numerous acts of ingratitude. You have to be well to graduate, have children, succeed in business and achieve your desires. That you are alive and well today is a proof of God's faithfulness. Do you have reasons to be grateful to God today? Don't be an ingrate; always show gratitude to God and fellow men.

Prayer/Action.
* Ask God for forgiveness for your acts of ingratitude thus far.
* Pray that henceforth you will appreciate God for everything.
* Send a word, a text message, a call or a visit today as a sign of gratitude to at least two people who have been a blessing to your life either directly or indirectly.

The “Above All” Lifestyle II

Text: Matt.28:18
More Lessons: John19:1-4

Since Jesus testified that all power in heaven and on earth is given Him, those who have Jesus in them cannot live a life below the highest point! Even Paul testified: God has made us sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph.2:6). The environment of heaven is our normal habitat. We live in God’s presence. Beyond long prayers and attending church services, Christianity is a walk into the spirit realm through the Holy Spirit into the presence of God. Until we learn to live on earth from the presence of God, we cannot be His children.

The Book of the Acts of the Apostles shows people beginning to draw upon new resources of the recreated human spirit in Christ. We are to move through the world blessing mankind with the saving, healing and restoring power of Jesus Christ. These were the first new men in Christ; new creatures of the kingdom of God, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, declaring as earthy ambassadors, the love and power of the living God. We are sent out to bring others into the same kingdom order so that they too can walk in the Spirit of God and release the joy and glory of God everywhere they go.

It is the law of the Spirit of God, written on the tablets of our hearts. Jesus assured us of the signs, wonders and miracles that will follow those who believe in Mk.16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. The entire job description of the Christian is absolutely supernatural! The true believer in Christ is supernaturally natural. There is no room for mundane and mediocre living in the Kingdom of God. Christianity is the ticket to a higher, first class life. It is the power to be ahead in class, work, office, and everywhere we find ourselves. But you cannot enjoy these unlimited privileges if you do not belong to the commonwealth of the household of Christ Jesus. Only God’s children can sit with him in heavenly places in Christ. If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and King of your life, do it now. Tomorrow might be too late. However, if you are born again and filled with the Holy Ghost, step out now and begin to speak and manifest the acts of the Spirit.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray that nothing will take you from the presence of God.
* Pray for added understanding to manifest the magnitude of the power of God.
* Thank God for elevating you as co - heir apparent with Christ in His Kingdom.
Go out today and pray for anybody who is sick for healing.

The “Above All” Lifestyle I

Text: John3:31
More Lessons: Eph.2:4-7

There is a peculiar language and lifestyle for kingdom citizens. According to our first text, it is the language of “above all”. Just as there is a different speech pattern or unique accent every tribe or tongue of people on earth, such that when you hear a typical Zulu man speak, you can easily discern his nationality and tribe as different from that of an Ethiopian. So is it with those who are born into the body of Christ Jesus.

A Christian is wired to speak in dominion and power not in timidity and fear. Jesus told us we can uproot mountains and cast them into the sea simply by speaking. Mk.11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

When a true believer in Jesus is heard over any matter at all, you can be sure to see the full authority and dominion of God flowing in the utterances. No mere human can dare to speak with the authority of a born again Christian because he is the representative of the God of Heaven hereon earth. Same applies to the entire lifestyle of members of the Kingdom of God.

Wherever a Christian goes, the difference is always clear because though we live on the earth we are clearly not of this world! We are from above! When the world hates, we love; when the world is sick; we heal the sick; when the world is confused; we proffer timely wisdom and solution; when the world is running helter shelter, we live in peace that passes all understanding because we are from a country where there is no hate, sickness, confusion or chaos. Phil.3:20 For conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Obviously, a person 'born from above' will never be satisfied with a world which is gross and only material. Whenever I feel that deep thirst and void that cannot be satisfied by anything in this world, I realize that I belong to another world and it is only in the things of that other world that my satisfaction lies. Believers in Christ Jesus are not of this world, so we are not controlled by the dictates and limitations of this world. Praise God for the higher life in Christ!

Prayer/Action.
* Ask for God’s forgiveness where your lifestyle betrayed your faith in Christ.
* Pray to live above all earthly challenges.
* Pray for wisdom to impact your generation
* Go ahead and address your mountains now, and reposition them under your feet while you stand above them.
* Stand and declare you are above.

Help in Times of Trouble II

Text: Psa.60:11
More Lessons: Exo.14:21-27

In Heb.13:5b the Bible says;…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. This means that you will I never walk alone because the Lord that overcame will never let you go on alone or forsake you to be overcome by the enemy. The word “ Never” creates one of the most reliable strengths and confidence of the New Testament church. The reality is that God is always there for His children even in the darkest of nights and He knows the facts and figures of what we go through.

What great surge of joy permeates my heart to think that God knows every detail about my life and He will never abandon me to the hands of my enemy! Some of the anxieties that cause high blood pressure today are traced to our response to issues of life as people of little or no faith. It is an act of unbelief to panic at the slightest pain and challenge when God is on your side .Truth is progressive. There are truths and greater truths. Our text advocates a greater truth than we formerly knew when we first believed that there could be trouble in the life of a believer. In fact, the decision to walk with Jesus will put you on the black list of the devil.

The reason the enemy is mad and seeking to devour any one that bears the mark of Jesus Christ is because, he remembers the great, irrevocable and eternal loss his kingdom incurred when Jesus defeated him openly over 2000years ago! Col.2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. The word of God never asks us to pray trouble way. Our text proves to us that trouble is not always a product of sin, but it is inevitable to all of us, at one time or the other. So it is not an act of faith to lie or fake it when we are going through hard times. What we are instructed to do is know that our God will deliver us from whatever trouble we may face.

This is our greatest confidence is tackling the issues of life. The devil is a defeated foe and all his schemes against your life are wasted because your help in the time of trouble is God all by Himself! Whenever it seems like all hell breaks loose and trouble faces you headlong, all you have to do is face God with everything. Psa.34:5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. If you will only look to Jesus, He will be your way maker, today and always!

Prayer/Action.
* Pray that the grace of God will see you through your life times of trouble.
* Look unto Jesus as your only help out of hard times.
* Pray that God will strengthen and guide you out of troubles.
Hard times are not forever, so declare them over today and give God thanks.

Help in Times of Trouble I

Text: Psa.46:1
More Lessons: Dan.3:19-25

A throw-back down memory lane to that moment when I made the best decision of all; accepting Jesus as Lord and King of my life, reminds me of that instant thrust of joy and peace that filled my heart and soul. So also do I remember gospel comments that came to us from awesome evangelicals, popular tracts and even new convert classes that were taught in those days. We were told that being in Christ, everything will be easy and smooth for us from that moment forward. We were told that all the pains and troubles of the past were gone! The powerful messages came with the assurance that everything from that moment onwards will almost be a bed of roses. Wonderful back up scriptures of the saving, healing and life transforming power of the new creation reality were the music of the day! And Yes, it created an atmosphere of faith, positivity and trust in the ability of God to protect and defend us all the way.

But sooner or later, we all discovered that as good and true as it was, it wasn't all of the truth. As we began to mature in the Christian faith, we were confronted with demonic attacks, spiritual warfare and even temptations of the flesh, all roaring in our face. Then we began to search the scriptures and found that we missed the crux of the matter at first! Those awesome publications and evangelistic messages that we read and heard were not to make us think that we would be free of the attempts or confrontations of the evil one but that we would always emerge victorious and triumphant in Christ. 2Cor 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

While Jesus walked the earth, teaching and preaching the message of Kingdom of heaven, He never promised us that our lives will be without challenges. In fact He told us of the tribulation, rejection and conflict of being His disciple, John16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. But he didn't begin that sentence until He commanded us to be of good cheer or rejoice and be glad because He had overcome the world on our behalf! Glory to His name forever!

Prayer/Action.
* Appreciate Jesus afresh for paying the price for your salvation and well being.
* Pray that by the leading of the Holy Spirit, you will overcome all trials.
*Ask God to help you emerge victorious from all attacks.
* Declare that because Jesus conquered, you will conquer.
* Pray that your anchor will hold fast in the midst of any trial and you will never loose your faith to any trial.

My God is not Poor II

Text: Ecc.5:19 More
Lessons: I Chro.1:11-17

In these times, God is revealing to as many who will hear that it is His good pleasure to release wealth and riches into the hands of the righteous. 3Jn.1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. The arch bishop referred to yesterday believed that since the God who made all things out of the bounty of his riches was his Father, then someday, somehow he too will be wealthy and prosperous. God cares for our every need. He wants us to prosper and become exceedingly great.

I have never known a patriarch or matriarch in scriptures that walked with God and didn't lead the financial market of their day! From Job, Abraham, Moses to Jesus; none of them lacked. The other day, Jesus paid tax by commanding money from the mouth of a fish. There is supernatural provision for you in Christ. Eph1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. The blueprint for our prosperity is in God's hands and He is not holding it back from us. The child of a king always has this royal mindset that whatever he needs in the kingdom, his father the king can and will do it for him. Ever seen the level of confidence that little children have in their fathers? I think I do because I remember asking my dad to buy me an aero plane when I was a little child. How much more we who have the King of all the earth as our Father? Poverty is not righteousness; in fact, it is anti-covenant. Where ever poverty is found in scriptures, it is usually connected to a curse or punishment from the Lord for evil deeds.
There is no verse in all of scriptures that admonishes us to embrace wretchedness as humility and holiness. Rather, we are instructed not to forget that it is the Lord that empowers us to make wealth; meaning that it is a normal Christian life to be successful. Nobody partners with the King and remains a pauper. Psa.67:7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. Your present situation does not define your true reality; it is God's word about your finances, health, projects and career that has the final say! If you cannot say it, you will not see it. Like the Arch Bishop, it is time to declare into your own life that your God is not poor. You will never lack anything good in Jesus’ name, amen

Prayer / Action.
* Pray that you will never be poor.
* Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to godly prosperity.
* Pray that God will bless the works of your hand greatly.
Imbibe the mentality that you were not made to be poor.

My God is not Poor I

Text: Haggai2:8
More Lessons: Mal.3:10-12

The Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory was popularly known for using the phrase “My God is not poor”. This was a man who was so wretched that he had to push carts carrying dirts and sometimes people's baggage on the streets to keep body and soul together. Somehow along the line, he encountered God and his life and mindset was transformed forever. He read through the pages of the scriptures and discovered that all those who walked with God never went to bed hungry because God is able to provide for His own.

In fact he realized that Holy men in scriptures were the wealthiest in their days. From that day he began to live aware that the God whom he believed was not poor there was hope for his life. Then he inscribed on his little cart, “My God is not poor” and everywhere he went with the cart people began to identify him by the name of his cart. They often said, “Good afternoon, Mr. My God is not poor”, and with great excitement he would return the pleasantries. The days turned into months and the seasons changed but this cart pusher maintained his convictions! Sooner than everyone thought, the cart pusher owned a whole dynasty and pastored the most powerful Pentecostal ministries of his time. He began to impact the same streets he used to push carts in, but this time in limousines. Now, who used to greet him while he pushed carts in the heat of the sun and even people all over the world who hear his story today can see what incredible power is made available when we build our vision around the provision of God, and never give up!.

Poverty is more of a mindset than an economic state. A million naira in the hands of a poor minded man will leave him still as poor as he already was because our lives are a direct reflection of our level of revelation and consistency. The arch bishop didn't have a penny but he had a mindset that his God was not poor. The pictures of the future we create in our hearts and minds determine to a large extent, what becomes of us tomorrow. The truth is, you will never outgrow how much you understand and insist on the things of God as long as your mindset is negative and self-defeatist.

Prayer / Action.
* Appreciate God that He is Your Father that has everything you will ever need.
* Pray for wisdom to key into the abundance of God’s provision.
* Pray that you will succeed in whatever you lay your hands upon to do.
* Break the yoke and curse called poverty over your life, family and church.
* Rebuke every poverty mentality out of your life from today.

The Mystery of Praise II

Text: Psa.34:1
More Lessons: Acts16:25-26

When God made man, he made him spirit, soul and body. 1Thess.5:23b …and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So when the psalmist in the first text demanded of his soul to sing praises to the Lord, it was actually his spirit that was instructing his soul to praise the Lord. Why did the spirit of the psalmist summon his own soul to praise God? Our human minds tend to focus on the prevailing challenges around and not on the prevailing power in praise within.

The realms of our intellect and logic cannot fathom that we must praise God because praise is not an intellectual concept, it is a spiritual mystery. That is why, with a closer look, we also will notice that the psalmist was not issuing an advice or suggestion but an emphatic command! David was arguably Israel's greatest King and an anointed man of war from his youth; so if anyone knew anything about issuing commands, David did for sure. Now, here comes the great man of war speaking about praise with military undertones to reveal that he understood that praise was actually a lethal weapon of warfare.

Throughout Bible history, from the exodus of the children of Israel to the time of the apostles, the mystery of praise was one weapon consistently deployed by the children of God to quench the fiery darts of the devil and his cohorts. The mysterious power in praise is owed to the fact that God dwells in praise and where ever the presence of the Lord is, no demonic operation can thrive there.

Praise is a vehicle of the presence and power of God. True Praise is irresistible to God. It commands the manifestation of the full weight of the hosts of heaven to your life and situation. Whenever we praise God whole heartedly, God surely visits our lives. One visit from the Lord Himself is more than enough to turn everything around for the better. Psa.126:1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Praise is a spiritual transaction where you give God what He desires and He in-turn gives you your heart’s desires. Truly, wise people praise God even before their breakthroughs show up. Be wise, praise him in advance!

Prayer/Action.
* Ask God for strength to always praise Him.
* Pray that things of celebration will never depart from your tabernacle.
* Pray for Christians to understand the mystery of praise.
Praise God even when in pains for it pays.
Begin to praise God for everything about you and around you.
Promise God you will praise Him before, during and after every pain beginning from today.

The Mystery of Praise I

Text: Psa.103:1
More Lessons: Psa.150

It doesn't matter what you are going through right now, if only you dare to praise the Lord, I tell you it is only a matter of time before the Hosts of heaven will visit your life with power and deliverance. The original Hebrew word translated “Lord” in the anchor text is ‘ad-o-noy' and it suggests “the controller, master or commander of an army or troop”. This is why we often see the same word appear in other scriptural texts as Lord of hosts or Lord of the heavenly hosts. So when we offer praises, it is the Lord God of the armies of heaven that arises on our behalf.

The Hosts of hell cannot stand the slightest sway from the Lord of the armies of heaven. No wonder at Jericho, God instructed His people to make a shout of praise and as soon as they did, the walls of that great city came crumbling down because the Lord and his hosts of armies came into the scene. We see the same manifestation of the Lord and His hosts when in the prison where Paul and Silas where chained; at the sound of their prayer sand praises, there was a great earthquake. The gates flung open and the chains and shackles fell loose from their hands and feet. If you must experience the mighty touch and transforming power of God in your life, you must consciously cultivate he heart of praise. Psa.34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

The heart of praise is one that is persuaded that the Lord deserves the praise irrespective of what is going wrong in the immediate surrounding or who is looking on. Rom.8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. He who offers praise is fully persuaded at the promise of God. The Bible says in Heb.10:23b …; for he is faithful that promised. That's why he who praises can go to sleep in a storm because he Lord of hosts said in His word Heb.13:5b ... I will never leave thee, nor , forsake thee .

There are two categories of praise offered in the Kingdom of God; conditional praise and unconditional praise. The power, provision and protection of the Lord of hosts are always at the disposal of people with unconditional praises on their lips. We were created to give God praise. And as we do what we were created to do, God does or us what gives Him pleasure to do; to intervene in the matters of your life! Praise him NOW!

Prayer/Action.
* Pray for God’s visitation as you praise Him.
* Pray that as you praise God, He will sink every wall of Jericho around you.
* Ask God to help you praise him in every situation.
* Ask for the spirit of praise and thankfulness.
Sing a song to Jesus today, dance and praise Him.
Shout Halleluyah.

Valuing the Voice of God II

Text: Heb.4:7
More Lessons: John10:1-5

Many people keep asking to know how to be sure that the Lord is speaking when you hear a voice either in your spirit or audibly. There are certain people in my life who's voices I cannot miss even in a crowd simply because I know them personally and intimately, So If you deepen your intimacy with the Lord, you will not miss His voice, because you know Him. When Jesus said my sheep hear my voice, He was invariably saying, the little lambs cannot hear my voice, because they have not developed to the point where they can recognize my leading. Sheep in this context are those who value God's voice more than anything else. These are the true sons of God.

When the troubled waters roar, those who have a personal relationship with God will find an easy way out because they can identify the still small voice of the Holy Spirit even in the noisiest of tempests. However, those who have no personal relationship with Jesus Christ will grope in the dark even when God is speaking to them because they have not developed their spiritual senses to know the voice of the Lord. It is often said that only what you value can add value to you.

God will not trust His voice to those who will not value it. If God cannot trust you to obey Him in little things, He will not reveal strong things to you. His leading is a heritage only for those who are maturing into sonship. Leading is only made possible when those who will be led are yielded and obedient enough to follow the voice of God. It is in vain that some people in search for the Lord's leading hop from one miracle centre to another when the Lord desires to speak His word directly into our hearts by His Spirit which is resident in us. God wants to talk with you.

The pathways of this life are too dangerous to ply without the voice of the Ancient of days. We cannot afford to handle the voice of God with levity. We cannot afford to use God; we must let God use us. We must yield and obey his gentle promptings. Until the child Samuel learn to say “Speak Lord for your servant heareth” he may have never matured into the prophet Samuel who could say 'thus saith the Lord'.

Prayer/Action.
* Pray that the issues of Life will not negatively affect your intimacy with God.
* Ask for God’s directives towards maturity in hearing His voice.
* Repent of ever handling the voice of God with levity.
* Ask the spirit of God to come upon you afresh and keep you connected to the Father.
* Pray that you will never grief the Spirit of God nor walk away from Him.

Valuing the Voice of God I

Text: John10:27, More
Lessons: I Sam.3:1

The GPS navigator system in a car might be of very little value to its owner until he drives into a big city for the first time and all he knows about where he is going is the name of the destination. That's the moment when the advantage of having a navigation system fitted car will be appreciated. You will suddenly put all your trust in the directives of the electronic navigator that was once abandoned, and obey its directives aptly and without a second thought because of the pressing need to arrive at your destination.

We never know the value of a thing until we are in a situation where we cannot do without it. It is just the way our minds are conditioned to respond naturally. It is the same with the voice of God. We don't seem to easily realize how much we need God's voice until all of hell breaks loose and there is nowhere else to turn; then we come running to the feet of the Master in tears, asking for just one word from Him. Man desires an affair with God, but God desires a relationship with us; that's why he speaks to our hearts. One of the free benefits to the New Testament Christian is complete and unhindered access to the mind of God.

Heb.1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. God is more than a GPS car navigator; He is our Father and Friend. The purpose of God's voice and leading is so that we would be more intimate with Him. Rom.8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. By the leading of the voice of God, we grow to maturity in God.

We receive wisdom of God to respond to the challenges of life with answers and solutions. But if you seek the Lord only when you have pressing needs, He may come to your rescue in His mercy. But for how long do we want to keep running in and out on God when we can stay in His presence and know the Master for ourselves? But how will we even recognize his leading and gentle promptings when we have not developed the culture of valuing his voice? The Voice of God is the most valuable aid and guide in the Christian walk. God is speaking so let us listen to the voice of God today.

Prayer/Action.
* Appreciate God for your unlimited access to His mind.
* Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you to hear God’s voice clearly in all matters
* Ask God to take away every sinful obstruction that can break your continuous contact with Him
* Ask God to keep you permanently in His presence.

Strength for Today II

Text: Lam.3:23,
More Lessons: Zeph.3:5

It is clear without the shadow of doubt that our God is concerned about all aspects of our lives. He is detailed and continuous in His loving kindness towards us. A day is a period of 24hours, so if the Lord says He loads us daily then it means that whatever you are going through, God can turn it around in a single day. There is a load of benefit that can answer to that need in your life. It is only a matter of time. When the loaded benefits of God come upon you, it engineers your next level such that as the needs arise, the benefits also rise to meet the needs! Some believers still languish in pain, debt, sickness and all manner of unfortunate situations, despite the unlimited benefits from Jehovah.

This is simply because they have not learnt to tap into the daily benefits of the Lord over their lives. Ignorance is a silent thief programmed to deprive you of what is rightfully yours. Until we wake up to the consciousness of the Lord's goodness over us the enemy will cheat us of our blessings. Psa.27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. The benefits from the Lord are over all contemporaries, making you live a life with unmatched distinctions.

The blessings of God are loaded, but it is your responsibility as the recipient of the benefits to get them downloaded. It is not enough to have money loaded for you in the bank; you need to access it for your use. One of the ways to access the benefits of heaven for your daily life is to be committed to maintaining an attitude of gratitude towards God and His goodness. Thankfulness is a powerful force! Live daily like you know you are already blessed! As you do this the substantiation of divine uploads from the Lord over your life will be your daily experience. Think it, talk it, thank Him and take it! Life is gracefully easy for those who can tap into God's daily provision by relying totally on his everlasting arm. The strength infusion necessary to experience daily victory is hinged on our ability to draw from the Lord daily. Yesterday's manna has worms; only fresh loads of benefits for the new day will suffice. Lam.3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. All the blessings you will ever need are wrapped up in the Lord's loads of benefits. It is the secret of strength for today. It is time to walk daily in the strength of the Lord and experience God's unlimited provisions packaged for your use.

Prayer/Action
* Thank God that you don’t need to worry about your daily needs.
* Ask for forgiveness in areas you were ungrateful to God.
* Ask God that with limitless provision of God in your life, poverty is forever banished.
* Declare the door of God’s blessing permanently opened over your destiny.

Strength for Today I

Text: Psa. 68:19,
More Lessons: Deut. 28:1-13

No human government, system or administration, no matter how powerful has dared to assure its citizens of meeting all their needs on a daily basis. Yet the Bible declares that without fail, the government of our God loads His children with all the DAILY benefits we will ever need. The Darby Bible puts it this way; blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us [with good], the God who is our salvation. Selah. What a great assurance of an abundant life full of peace and prosperity we have in the Lord our God!

Over 2000years ago He whole heartedly paid the ultimate price when He gave up His Son to be crucified as a ransom, that we may be redeemed from the slave market of sin, justified and made complete. II Cor.5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. By that singular act of love, we who accept Jesus as Lord and King are free from sin, Satan, sickness and shame forever. Halleluyah! You bet, that was good enough owing to the fact that what we really deserved was death! Rom.6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

He didn't just save us from sin by putting Jesus on Golgotha's cross, raising Him from the dead and when it was done, dust his feet and asked us to find our way from there. He is doing much more for us even today. The text says He daily loads us with benefits. The tense “loads” is a present continuous tense, to show that God's blessings on your life yesterday are nothing to be compared with His blessing about to be released unto us daily.

God is at work to load your life with benefits. His desire for you is that you will enjoy peace round about; nothing missing, nothing broken, but full of his benefits. Friend, God is not through with you yet. Your case is not closed because you have a father who has scheduled loads of favour, and grace and riches and strength to be delivered to your door step every day. If you are in Christ, you are a divine project in the hands of a divine God. He is set to bless you beyond boundaries evident in Matt.7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Today's blessings and benefits are hovering over your head; thank Him and take it!

Prayer/Action
* Pray that your benefits loaded in today will not pass you by.
* Ask God to grant you daily strength to enjoy your benefits.
Take a decision today to be used by God to meet somebody’s need.
