Everyday- A New You

Sunday 1 March
READ: Lam. 3:22- 23
MORE LESSON: Rev. 21:5

God makes things new every morning. This means you are not the same as you went to bed yesterday; you are new this morning. The song writer says, . . . they are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness, O Lord. Every new morning the faithfulness of God makes you newer than you were when you slept the night before.

I want you to always think newness: it is a bad mindset to think that things must always get old before you buy new ones. It is not correct to think you must always buy old and used items. You must change the way you think, for as a man thinks in His heart, so is he. Stop thinking old things, or else that is what you will always get; rather, think in terms of new things. This counsel is not to put pressure on you if you can't afford the new things yet but it is to make you believe that what you are now is not all you can ever be. There is more to you than this because God is committed to making all things new for you on a daily basis.

The secret for a new you every day is that you must receive a Word from the Lord on a daily basis. Those words have the capacity for renewing you. Eze 12:8 says, And in the morning came the word of the LORD unto me, saying…. That is the secret of being made new every day. See also what Isa. 50: 4 says, The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: HE WAKENETH MORNING BY MORNING, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. If you can only hear what the Lord says to you every day, you will never stop having the experience of a new you everyday of your life. The Word of God is always released in the morning seasons, so anticipate it every day you wake up. Psa. 119:147 (ASV) says, I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words.

Don't ever wake up in the morning and go out without a word from the Lord. This is the spiritual principle that ensures everyday newness. The more of the word from the Lord you receive, the more like Him you become and the newer and better you are made.

When you get your daily Word from God, you have to lay hold on it and act on it. If it is a promise, confess it and if it is an instruction, obey it. That way, you will bring God into your day without struggle because you are already in partnership with Him. Give attention to daily devotion, whether on your personal altar or family altar. Expect new things today, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Declare that every trouble of your life will end with this day.
* Prophesy that you will not carry pain from day to day.
* Prophesy that your day will respect God’s law of daily newness.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
My Father, the Ancient of days and giver of life, thank You for the gift of March 2015, the third month; it shall not be barren of good things

Do Whatever He Tells You

Saturday 28 February
READ: John 2:1-11
MORE LESSON: John 9:1-7

Every man that wants to contact God needs to trust Him and obey every instruction that God gives. Checking through Scripture, you will notice there is hardly any miracle that Jesus did for any man without a particular instruction to be obeyed. Those who obeyed the instruction had a testimony and those who didn't obey lost the miracles. Sometimes the things He tells us to do are not things that we would consider enjoyable but obedience to prophetic instructions is what guarantees miraculous manifestations. Anybody who wants to enjoy the blessings of the Lord must be ready to obey His instructions.

Jesus attended a marriage in Cana of Galilee with His disciples, and His mother was also there. When the celebrants needed a miracle because their wine had finished, the mother of Jesus approached Him and Jesus told her to leave Him alone because His time was not yet come. But thank God for Mary; she didn't argue but she also determined that it was not the end of the matter. Many people miss their miracles because they take the answer 'no' too soon. Mary knew Jesus very well; you will only be able to get a miracle from God to the extent to which you know Him. She knew Jesus would not refuse someone who comes to Him for help and she also knew that Jesus would give them the miracle by giving an instruction. Therefore, she said to the people, 'Don't worry about what He said; He will do something soon, and whatever He tells you, do it.’

The instruction Jesus gave them was not the type they would have expected; He told them to fill the pots with water. That would have been rejected as foolish instruction by some people; saying, ‘We need wine not water.' But by obedience to that simple instruction they were able to get what they needed. You might be in need today because what you have is insufficient and you refused to obey God when He told you to give the little you had. All I want to say to you today is that whatever He tells you to do, do it; and your miracle is sure.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to speak His Word into your situation.
* Pray that you will always be sensitive to God’s instruction.
Take a promise of God to you and instruct your challenge with it.
Give God thanks over the instruction because it cannot fail.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, thank You for making me see January and February, Oh Lord as You live, I shall live to see beyond this year.

Glory Brings Good Things

Friday 27 February
READ: Psa. 84:11
MORE LESSON: 2 Chron. 1: 6- 12

According to the Oxford Dictionary, the word ‘glory’ has several definitions and explanations. I am particularly impressed by one definition: glory is defined as a special cause or reason for pride. This means that glory is something that happens to you or to someone around you and gives you a reason to be proud of the event. I think a man should always and only do and go for things that he can be proud of. Don't do things that you will be ashamed of when such are announced openly as what you did. Glory therefore is whatever brings you respect, honour and splendour. If glory makes a man to be respected, you should go for glory. I pray for you that in the name of Jesus you will not see shame.

Glory is desirable. We can be proud of good things when they happen; success, wealth, children, marriages, jobs, academic excellence and increase are things that we can be proud of. When these things happen to us we announce them and testify about them. Someone once likened glory to a spiritual visa that gives a man access to the best things of life. When you want the best things of life, what you need is for the glory of God to come upon you. When the glory comes, you immediately see good things draw to you of their own accord. Several people are pursuing money, appointments, promotions, houses and marriage partners, without caring to seek God's glory upon their lives. That is putting the horse before the cart. Those are not the first things to seek; get the glory and all those things will pursue you. David said, Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever: Psa. 23:6.

When the Lord told Solomon to ask for whatever he wanted, Solomon didn't ask for material things; he asked for wisdom. The wisdom of God is part of His glory; so Solomon was actually seeking God's glory to be upon his life. The God of glory spoke to him: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like: 2 Chron. 1: 12.

He got the glory and the good things of life followed him. I pray for you that the glory of God will be your portion today, in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer/Action
* Ask for God’s grace and glory upon your destiny.
* Pray that you will not be barren of any good thing.
* Pray that the glory of the righteous will be your portion forever.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, today, connect me back to all the divine connections I have either lost or did not utilise; cause my golden opportunities to also return.

God's Glory Displayed

Thursday 26 February
READ: Psa. 29:1-11
MORE LESSON: Psa. 19:1-2

God displays His glory through His work: the whole universe shows His attributes and ability. If you consider the sky that stretches as though it has neither beginning nor end and that there is no pillar holding it, you will not doubt the greatness of the God who created such things. Even nature speaks of the glory of God. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork: Ps. 19:1.

Psalm 29:1-3 says, Give unto the Lord oh ye mighty, give unto the Lord, glory and strength . . . One way of giving glory to God is by talking about the mighty things He has done and by praising Him through reference to the things He has created. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters…. This is talking about worshipping God by considering the things He has created in nature. Have you ever seen a large body of water, a sea or an ocean? There is the awesome aura that goes with being around such vast body of water. The greatness and glory of God is clearly shown to you by such things in nature. The voice of the Lord is truly upon the waters.

The glory of God is the nature of God in display. And God has chosen to display His nature through the great works He has made in nature. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Rom 1:19-20. Nobody can claim that He doesn't know that God is great, majestic, full of power, splendour and glory because even nature testifies to who God is.

It is incorrect for you to think that God has not done something for you to thank Him for; He has done innumerable things for you personally. All the same, if you can't see the things He has done for you personally, you still have things you can praise Him for. Pick the seas, the skies, the wildlife and vegetation, the mountains and the air you breathe and begin to give glory to God who created such things. Only a great God could have made the sun and moon, which for years have not dropped from the sky. Give glory to God for His nature that is displayed through works of creation.

Prayer/Action
Bow your knees, lift your hands, and with a song worship and adore Jehovah.
* Ask God to make you the evidence of His glory and majesty.
* Tell the Lord He deserves the glory and honour for all He is doing in your life.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, thank You for making things work out for my good this year.
