One Family by His Blood

Friday 3 April
READ: Eph. 2:11-22
MORE LESSON: Gal. 3:26-29

Our texts vividly paint the picture of one’s state before one comes to know the Lord and the new position one assumes immediately one comes to God's Kingdom by the blood of Christ, That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: v12. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God: Eph. 2:19. What a great change, all by the blood of Jesus! Every believer in Christ Jesus actually belongs to the same family because all are washed by the same blood and born by the same Spirit. But sometimes in the church you see people tend to be tribal, associating with others like them and avoiding those who are different either by tribe, achievement, language or age.

But Paul the apostle emphasises, For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us: v14. Dearly beloved, having broken down the wall that could separate us in church and in the Body of Christ, Jesus calls on everyone from different racial and national backgrounds, women, men, boys, girls, the rich, the poor, people with diverse political convictions, to be one. One of the supreme benefits of salvation is a sense of belonging; as you belong to God so you belong to His Church. New believers are just as much a part of the Church as old time members.

The Church of Christ is not a social club but a spiritual fellowship united by Jesus Christ through His blood. We are all fellow citizens and members of God's household. We all who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus must see ourselves first as members of the Household of God, joint heirs with Jesus and fellow brethren, regardless of race, colour, gender, language or tribe. Each time we do anything against this brotherhood we deny the power of the blood of Jesus and its privileges.

Prayer/Action
* Thank God for the gift of Jesus to mankind.
* Ask God to destroy anything that causes division in the Body of Christ and among believers.
* Ask God to reunite His Church and grant His children a sense of bonding by the blood of Jesus.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
O Lord, among the multitude, locate me for an unforgettable encounter this month, in the name of Jesus.

It is your Turn II

Thursday 2 April
READ: Est. 6:1-11
MORE LESSON: Psa. 126:1-6

whenever any earthly king decides to favour a man, that man will experience a drastic positive change in a matter of little time. All it takes for a man to be promoted, blessed or made rich in a kingdom is just for the king to decide to favour that man. So when the king of a domain, for whatever reason, decides that it is your turn to be favoured, you are in for a change of a life time. In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. Prov 16:15.

This is well portrayed in the story of Mordecai in the Bible: So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself? Est 6:6.

King Ahasuerus told Haman that he wanted to honour somebody and Haman thought that it was he who the king wanted to honour, so he carefully designed the kind of honour that should be accorded to the man. The favour and honour was however for Mordecai, and so a gateman was made to ride on the king's horse and everyone bowed to him. The favour continued until Mordecai became the second in command to the king ( Esther 10: 3)

That was just an earthly king, how much more when the King of kings decides that He wants to favour you. You experience a relocation, a breaking forth and a breaking through. Doors gladly open because it is about a season of change and a season of honour. King Ahasuerus delighted to honour Mordecai and his life never remained the same thereafter. Today, I see things working together for your good because the King of heaven has decided that it is your turn to be honoured. The King of kings has made up His mind to turn to you and favour you. Isa. 60: 1- 2 says, Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. When the light of God's favour turns to you, no matter the darkness that had covered you, your light will break forth and your glory will shine. I tell you today, Arise and shine because the King of kings and Lord of lords has delighted in you and it is your turn to be favoured.

Believe God’s Word for you, walk in what God has said, break away from companies that don't believe God can do a new thing for your life. Raise your expectation. It is your turn to laugh.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for a new season.
* Ask for the help of God to turn every pain to gain.
* Prophecy a time of favour, promotion and advancement for your life.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I receive the presence of the “fourth man” on the journey of this fourth month, in Jesus’ name.

It is your Turn I

Wednesday 1 April
READ: Gal. 4:4
MORE LESSON: Psa. 102:3

God is the God of timing and so for everything He does there is a time set to it. (Eccl. 3: 1) God had ordained the coming of His son, Jesus Christ, into the world but it had to be at a set time- the fourteenth generation from the carrying away into Babylon. So Bible records that all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. This means that even as all Biblical events were unraveling, God was watching the timing even though man may not be conscious that He was. So when it was Jesus' time to show up on the earth, nothing could stop it. The Bible says in Gal. 4:4-5 that when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. It was the fullness of time, the set time for Jesus to come and nothing could change it. When your set time comes, nothing will be able to stop you.

When your time comes, then the Lord turns to you. When the Lord turns to you, then it is your turn. The Lord will turn to you this year because it is your turn. There might be many good things you desire of the Lord that you have been praying, fasting and waiting for and they have not come, but I want you to know that it is now your turn for a turn around because your set time has come. Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come: Psa. 102:13.

The set time for your promotion, your baby, your house or your new job has come. The devil cannot stop it once God says it is time. You might have fasted, prayed and nothing happened and so you think that your situation is a foregone issue. That is not true. You will realize that once it is rainy season; with or without fasting and prayer, grasses don't have an option but to grow. Even if the grass says it doesn't want to grow so that it will not be cut down, it will still not have an option but to grow because it is raining season. When God says that it is your turn, your long awaited answer must surely come because it is your season. I prophesy that this is your time, whatever has refused to change in your life will now change and every door shut against you will now open because it is your turn in Jesus’ name.

Now cast out every discouragement, stop every doubt and negative acts, go back to prayer, scriptural confessions and give thanks because it is your turn.

Prayer/Action
* Declare that your acceptable time starts today.
* Say, “I am unstoppable from now on because it is my year of help”.
* Command every road block to be broken today because the Lord has said this is your set time

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, thank You for counting me among the living in the fourth month; I shall not die in it; I shall not be fooled; I shall be wise and blessed.

End that Sorrow

Tuesday 31 March
READ: 1 Chro. 4:9-10
MORE LESSON: Psa. 50:15

In 1 Chronicles 4:9, we read the story of Jabez; it is such a touching story. His mother named him Jabez because she had very great difficulty at his birth. Everything was contrary to Jabez since the day he was born. Nobody would associate with the man named sorrow; so he was a deserted man until one day when he decided to take a major step of destiny. That one day for you is today! Look at what Jabez did; he didn't sit down in his crisis to organise a pity party but he did something about his problem. He went to the place of prayer. He took a decision; he took a step of prayer. You need to take that same step today.

Learn to pray about the Word; don't only confess it. It is important that you spend quality time before God, and remind Him of what He has said concerning you. Prayer makes things happen. In John 2:5 Mary the mother of Jesus said to the servants at the marriage in Cana of Galilee, Whatsoever He says to you do it. You can do the Word; in other words, practise the Word. Learn to do the Word. Don't finish confessing God's Word and sit down to say, “Well, I'm waiting for what God will do”. If there are things that are supposed to be your own responsibility, be ready to do them. Whatever God is leading you to do get into doing it. Jabez took a spiritual step; he prayed and God granted him his request (I Chro. 4:10). That is why that verse a started with And Jabez was more honourable than his brothers. He was more honourable because he did not watch his destiny run into crisis, he did something about it and his action paid off.

Have you prayed about that matter? Confessing the Word is different from prayer. You should confess the Word but you must also pray. Jabez was not the only one that was bearing a terrible name: there were a few other people in that same passage that had very terrible names but did nothing about their names. For example, Ashur actually means “blackness” (verse 5). The next name there, Tekoa means “tent pitcher”, somebody who never owned his own inheritance but moved from tent to tent. Helah means “rubbish” and Paseah (verse 12) means lameness.

The same verse has Ir-nahash which means a city of serpents. However none of these people did something about his matter; they lived and died as their names suggested of them. But Jabez decided to change his own story. He did this by prayer. You can win that battle in the place of prayer and change the story of your destiny forever if you can only take action. Today is the day to end that sorrow and prayer is the key.

Prayer/Action
* Make this declaration - whatever connects my life with sorrow is hereby terminated.
* Say, ‘I uproot the root cause of every affliction over my life’.
* Prophesy that your destiny is forever connected to rivers of joy and celebration.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, I thank You for the last day of March, let every Lot surrounding my life be separated and destroyed by fire today, in Jesus’ mighty name.
