Eternal Glory II

Saturday 11 April
READ: II Chron. 26:1-5
MORE LESSON: Deut.4:28-35

Life on earth is not forever, is short, and wise men make the most of that short time. There is no difference between the poor and the rich as regard the shortness of life as they both have the same time here on earth. It is wisdom applied to use the time available that makes the difference from one person to the other. The poor man always complains of lack while the rich man multiplies his possessions. Because life is short, you must have priorities. Several people place priority on business and money making ventures but not for eternity. In any case, life always goes on, so make the most of life by taking decisions that count, not just for here but for eternity.

What are the three uppermost decisions that count for eternity?
1. Find something doing for God and about God (Psa.132:1). David had challenges and pains, yet he still took a decision for God. He was ready to lose sleep and be out of his house until God's purpose was fulfilled. Sometimes our body does not agree with the things of the spirit but it is better to harm the flesh and strengthen the spirit man. This is the pathway to eternal glory.

2. Life is about contributing to others, so take a decision to help others even in pain and you will make it (I Sam. 30:10-12). God is God to all today because of what He does for mankind despite men's unrighteousness. God pours His rain on both the wicked and the good. Be kind to someone regardless of his tribe or status.

3. Do something about your tomorrow. (Lk.12:20). The rich fool was selfish and was not rich towards God. He had no eternal plan, so even God called him a fool. Do not be foolish, make plans for eternity, store treasures in eternal accounts because you will surely give an account to God one day of how you spend your life while here on earth.

Prayer/Action
* Lord, help me to make the most of my time here on earth to further eternal matters.
* Make me relevant in Your Kingdom, in my family and nation.
* Give me grace to lay treasures in Heaven and hear, “Well done, faithful servant” when I get there.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Oh Lord, this month, make the history of my past a testimony for my tomorrow.

Eternal Glory I

Friday 10 April
READ: II Cor.4:15-18
MORE LESSON: Rev.22:1- 4

There is a strong assurance in today's reading that gladdens every heart that reads it, For our light affliction, which is but for a moment worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory: II Cor. 4:17. This means that at the end of the pain, benefits await you. From these scriptures, we can identify two types of glory: a) physical or temporal glory and b) spiritual or eternal glory.

Eternal glory can bring temporal glory but not vice versa. Spiritual ability has the capability to bring physical results. Men think it is otherwise, that is why they pursue earthly glory at the expense of eternal glory. If only they knew that it is the spiritual that settles the physical, they will focus their ability and energies more on settling the spiritual first. That is why the Bible warns, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you: Matt. 6:33. The key to every other glory is eternal glory. When men seek God, riches, honour, wealth that lasts with prosperity that endures are added to them. II Chron. 26:4-5 says as long as Uzziah sought God, the Lord made him to prosper.

However, the deceit of satan makes men to place emphasis on earthly things and add God as an addendum. This is wrong. You can actually do without earthly things but you can't survive a moment without God. Some people will never go late for interviews but they will go late to church meetings; several people respect their bosses at work but have no regard for their pastors.

The question to you this day is, Are you wise with your priority? Your pursuits for job, children, spouse and money will end but your relationship with God affects your eternity. There's an appointment with death at a time you don’t know. How ready are you? Seek eternal glory first.

Prayer/Action
* Lord, I will seek eternal glory from today and every other glory will be added to me.
* I receive grace to give priority to eternal things and focus less on the temporal.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, this month, deliver me from problem repairers, in Jesus’ name.

On Eagle’s Wings II

Thursday 9 April
READ: Deut. 32:9-12
MORE LESSON: Isa. 63:8-9

God brought Israel out of Egypt on eagle's wings. In order to do this, He did not spare anything in the land of the enemy but stretched out his mighty hand. He said in Exo. 3:20 that He would stretch out His hand, and smite Egypt with all His wonders which He will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let them go. The stretching forth of God's hands to bring forth your deliverance is what is described as carrying you on eagles' wings.
The following happen when Jehovah bears you on eagle’s wings:

1. God takes away your struggles/ labour. The eagle unlike other birds does not flap its wings to fly. It flies without stress, it does this by waiting for a strong wing to come and then it positions itself on top of it. One of the major strengths of the eagle is its feathers. The kind of feathers found in eagles are strong and as such can withstand any wind. The wind that will carry the eagle will tear the feathers of a dove. The eagle has the attribute of being fast and strong and its movement easy because it does not flap but soars. So when Jehovah bears you on eagle’s wings everything that concerns you will be fast, strong and easy. There will be no more struggles and labour in your life because you are carried on eagle's wings.

2. God unfailingly gets you to your expected destination. In Exo. 3:8 God said, And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.... This means that He will carry them to the expected destination which He promised to their fathers. God was telling them that by bearing them on eagle’s wings, He will bring them out of Egypt into Canaan; their expected destination. Moses also testified in Deut 6:22- 23 that, ...the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. He brought them out to bring them into the expected destination of a land flowing with milk and honey. When you are borne on eagle's wings there is nothing like starting a journey or project and not finishing it. On eagle's wings, you are able to soar safely to your intended destination. That shall your testimony be in this year in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for the speed and strength of an eagle for the rest journey of your life.
* Proclaim that no promise of God will fail in your destiny.
* Ask God to send forth his mighty hand against every stubborn Egyptian in your life.
* Tell God you believe in His power to do what He says.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every ancestral evil family pattern of repeated problems, I terminate you this day, in Jesus’ name.

On Eagle’s Wings I

Wednesday 8 April
READ: Exo. 19:1-5
MORE LESSON: Exo. 3:16 - 22

If you follow the story of Israel in the land of bondage , you will realize that for some of them, their slavery in Egypt could as well have been forever having lasted 430 years. This implies that there were some who were born and died in Egypt without tasting freedom. But a day came when Jehovah said to them, 'this affliction is not forever'. God expressed their deliverance by bearing them on eagle's wings. It was like God literally said, “Eagles, carry my children out of Egypt!” Eagles have speed, so an affliction of 430 years ended in a night. You will be carried on eagle's wings out of whatever represents an affliction in your destiny in Jesus Name.

When God said to Moses, “you saw what I did to the Egyptians”, God was actually giving a testimony of what He had done. The people also saw what God did, celebrated it and testified about it. So the affliction of 430 years became a testimony both for God and the people; God did and the people saw it. I want you to know today that God can do something in your life that will be a testimony for you and even for Him. When God uses your testimony to brag about Himself, that means your testimony has become God's testimony as well. I pray that God will do something in your life that next time someone wants to doubt Him, He will beat His chest and say, ‘Am I not the One that did . . .’

When God said 'did you see what I did to the Egyptians?' He was actually emphasizing the fact that He did it without anybody's contribution to the feat. It was purely the LORD's doing. 'The Lord's doing' is something that comes to you that you did not plan for, worked for, bargained for, and witnessed no effort of yours. In fact, you gave up on it and now it came as a surprise. What the LORD did to Egypt came as a surprise to both the Israelites and the Egyptians. The Egyptians could not comprehend the deliverance of Israel. In like manner your enemy will not comprehend your promotion because God Himself will execute the mission. It indeed will be the Lord's doing and it will be marvelous in your sight.

Prayer/Action
* Lift up your hand and declare that every captivity will become a past tense and a testimony
* Declare that the doings of the Lord will become a common occurrence in your life.
* Prophesy that you will ride on eagle’s wings above every mountain of your life.
* Give thanks for answered prayers with a song now.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every unrepentant pursuer of my glory, vowing not to give up, I command them dead, in Jesus’ name.
