Sons of God are gods. Having received the reinstatement of the nature (image and likeness of God) through Christ Jesus, we have become gods, representatives of the Great God, unto every one and everywhere God has sent us. When God sent Moses to Pharaoh in Egypt, God said to Moses, …See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet: Exo. 7:1. The desire to be gods was what made Adam and Eve to eat of the fruit that God instructed them not to eat. When satan came to Eve, he said, For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil: Gen.3:5. Adam and Eve, prior to the fall, had always been gods. They were created in the image and likeness of God; they carried the very nature of God.

Whatever Adam named the creatures of God, so were their names. When God came into the Garden of Eden in the cool of the night, Adam and Eve could fellowship with Him. Only gods and sons of God can fellowship with God. What satan told Eve therefore was a lie and a plot to rob them of their position as gods. As soon as Adam and Eve obeyed satan and ate of the fruit, they lost their right as gods and as sons of the Most High; and were consequently driven out from the presence of God.

As gods and sons of the Most High, you are to do what God would do anywhere you find yourself. God has made you god over every pharaoh that will not let the people of God go free to serve Him. Get up; set free everyone that comes your way whom satan the god of this world has put in bondage of sin and slavery. Execute the vengeance of our God, as it is written: Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD: Psalm 149:6-9. Gods don't live in fear, For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father: Rom. 8:15. If you will arise and take your place in the hierarchy of the spirit, you will indeed be a blessing to your generation, For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God: Rom.8:19.

PRAYER/ACTION
* I put away every spirit of fear in and around me; I take my place as a god, the son of the Most High.
* I command the attributes of God in me to begin to manifest now, in Jesus’ name.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
I command the same angel that hit King Herod with worms while alive to hit all living enemies of my destiny today, in the name of Jesus.

One of the attributes of children of God is that they live in the Spirit and also walk in the Spirit. To live in the Spirit means to have your life encapsulated in the Spirit. In other words, your life is hid in the Holy Spirit. No wonder Colossian 3:3 says, For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. You dwell in the secret place of the most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).When you live in the Spirit, your life is no longer your own; you belong to the one you dwell in. The implication is that you no longer have a will of your own to pursue; you do not have a personal glory to seek after. You live for Him who loved you and accommodated you in Him.

When you live in the Spirit, you must also walk in the Spirit. To walk in the Spirit is to keep steps with the Holy Spirit in all your ways. In other words, you live as instructed, directed, commanded and supervised by the Holy Spirit, And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him: Gen.5: 24. In Gen.17:1; the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. Only when you practise walking with the Holy Spirit will you not fulfil (practise, exhibit, manifest, display) lust of the flesh. The works of the flesh (Gal.5:19-21) will always rear their ugly head.

When you walk in the Spirit, the Spirit of God will contend with the works of the flesh in, and prevents you from being overtaken. Note what Galatians 5:17-18 says, For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. The first verse of our Scripture reading expressly says only those who walk, not after the flesh but after the Spirit that are not condemned, For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God: Rom.8:13-14. Make up your mind to walk in the Spirit as from today. Tell yourself you will do only what the Spirit of God says and pray for the ability to hear and know His mind concerning all that has to do with your life.

PRAYER/ACTION
* LORD Jesus, I surrender my life to You that I may live and walk in the Holy Spirit.
* I receive the Spirit of adoption as a child of God; I shall walk in the Spirit and not fulfil the desires of the flesh.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
Over the month of August I frustrate the tokens of liars and make all diviners mad over every area of my life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.

Monday 1 August

Biology teaches that the makeup of any offspring is a product of the chromosome of the parents. Put in simple terms, every child carries the nature of his parents. This finding in biology is actually an ordinance of God which applies both to physical and spiritual realms. As in natural birth wherein the offspring carries the nature of its parents, so also the offspring by spiritual birth carry the nature of the spirit that quickens them to life. John 1:12 says that when we receive Jesus and believe in His name, we are given the power (the right) to become sons (children) of God. This power is the new birth. When we confess Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we are begotten again into a living hope. God's Spirit comes into us, therefore, we become children of God. As offspring of God, we are carriers of the nature (attributes and character) of God.

It pleases God to make us partake in His divine nature, as it is written, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust: 2 Peter1:3-4. Salvation through Christ Jesus reinstates in the believer the image and likeness of God in which man was originally created, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness … So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them: Gen.1:26- 27.

When Adam and Eve sinned, they lost this image and likeness (the very nature) of God. Since they yielded themselves to satan by obeying his voice and doing what satan suggested, satan's nature (lying, deceit, self, pride, violence, stealing, killing, destruction, and the likes) entered into them. The offspring of Adam and Eve up till date naturally manifest this nature. That is why even children less than one or two years can fight, be selfish, greedy, etc. This nature of satan, like a seed, grows with age and can become a big tree with several branches in a man’s life. When you accept Jesus and believe in His name, God removes that satan's nature and reinstates His nature in you. You then receive power to become a son of God who manifests the attributes of God which include, among others, love, kindness, forgiveness, faithfulness etc.

PRAYER/ACTION
* LORD Jesus, I invite You afresh into my life; I confess You as my Lord and Saviour.
* Displace every nature of satan out of my life and give me the nature of God.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
My Lord and my God, with thanksgiving, I declare the month of August good beginning from now, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Place a Demand

Life sometimes does not give to you what you deserve, it gives what you demand. Life will not just naturally put things in your hands because you like those things, you will only get what you make a demand on and pursue. Men that sit down, waiting and hoping that things will become better, die sitting down in the same place. It is go-getters that possess their possessions in life. Imagine a man that wants to travel to a destination and sits idly in his room and expects to arrive at the destination that he never boarded a vehicle for. You can lie idly in your room, do nothing and wish yourself to be in London. If you love being in London with all your heart and you do nothing but close your eyes and pray yourself to London, by the time you open your eyes, you will realise that you are still in your room. The natural way to go to London is to get a visa, buy a ticket, pack your load and board an aircraft that is going to London. It is only in making such efforts and taking such steps that your prayer becomes effective.

You don't make impact in life simply by admiring those that are impactful. You can't become successful by merely clapping for those who are successful. You get what you want in life by working and walking towards it. The people of Israel were slaves in Egypt and they wanted to go to Canaan; the Land of Freedom. For many generations, they cried, complained and prayed about the anguish and pain of Egypt as they were told by their fathers that there is a land flowing with milk and honey. They dreamt about Canaan and wished they could get out of Egypt to the Promised Land. Then one day, God remembered their prayers and delivered them by a mighty hand. They left Egypt in a joyous euphoria and celebrated as the bondage of 430 years was over. However they soon realised that getting to a place worthwhile in destiny will place a demand on you. The Israelites thought they would just leave Egypt and stroll to Canaan the next day but the first thing that brought them to face reality was the obstacle of the Red Sea.

When they faced the Red Sea, all the excitement of leaving Egypt evaporated. They became scared and started screaming to God. God replied and told them to take steps and start working and walking towards their dream land of Canaan. Life does not hand over to you what you were promised, it gives you what you contend for. Eventually they realised that those who will enter Canaan will have to take big steps; they will fight wars, cross rivers, climb mountains and survive difficulties. Today, go and place a demand on your dreams and vision by taking steps in the direction of your aspirations. God bless you.

PRAYER/ACTION
* Today I receive power to contend with every giant hindering my advancement in destiny.
* I receive anointing for extra in the fight of destiny.
* I command every grave to vomit my glory, in Jesus’ name.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, I have confidence in You that You are able to make me see the last day of this year as I have seen the last day of this month. Thank You Jesus, in Jesus' mighty name.
