The King's Word II

Tuesday 25 October
READ: Mark 4: 36 -39.NLT
MORE LESSON: Lk. 10:18-19

The evidence of kingship is power. Eccl. 8: 4 says that where the word of a king is, there is power. The sign of kingship is dominion. If we must live as kings we must understand that situations and circumstances are not meant to rule us but we are to rule them. A king rules by the words of his mouth. Jesus showed us how to rule by living the life of a king as an example for us.
In Mark 4:39, Jesus demonstrated the kingly life for us to see. He was in a ship and the waves arose threatening everyone in the ship. The disciples that were in the ship with Him had started to panick and fear for their lives. The Bible makes very clear the life of a king, When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the water, "Silence! Be still!" Mark 4: 39 (NLT). Jesus demonstrated His Kingship over nature by the display of His authority; He commanded the waves to be still. The king doesn't panic in crisis, he speaks calm to the storm. When Jesus spoke like a king to the storm, the Bible says that suddenly the wind stopped; that was the storm that had been proving strong and threatening everyone. However, at one word from the King, order was restored.
It is the same power you have as a king. Jesus said, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you: Luke 10:19. You have power to rule over demons, sickness, situations and circumstances. This power is exercised by words; you should speak like a king. When you study the life of Jesus our King who we are called to be like; He ruled the world by His words. The Bible says, God hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Heb 1:2-3. God made the world by His Word, He sustains the world by His Word and He rules the world by His Word. It is time for you to start ruling as well. Do not speak words of weakness, fear and lack. Speak words of dominion, power and kingship. It is your turn to rule.

Prayer/Action
* Lord, my life shall not lack Your power, in the mighty name of Jesus.
* By the authority of Christ I command sickness, demons, afflictions to bow before me today, in Jesus’ name.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
I proclaim according to God's promises, this year, the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon my life and I shall not put forth my hand into iniquity, in the name of Jesus.

The King's Word I

Monday 24 October
READ: Dan. 6: 12 -28
MORE LESSON: Eccl. 8: 4

Eccl. 8: 3 – 4 says ...for the king can do whatever he wants. His command is backed by great power. No one can resist or question it. A king is sovereign; his words don't fall to the ground. A king is practically worshipped, and when he declares a thing, it happens. The word “Kabiesi” is one of the appellations for the king in the Western part of Nigeria, which simply means the one who no man can question. When a king talks or acts, he is unquestionable. His action doesn't have to be right or wrong before it stands permanently.
Right or wrong, it stands because the king has spoken. In those days, great power was attributed to the office of a king. In those days, a king could simply see a lady that was pleasing to his eyes and command that she should be taken into his palace as his wife. He didn't care whose wife or daughter she was. He would simply put his feet to the ground and declare that she was his from that time onward and there was nothing any man could do about it. Such an act would be a criminal act in contemporary times but when kings were kings, it was in the right of the king to have whatever he said performed without any question.
Daniel was in the kingdom of the Persian and Medes and the king was misled into giving an instruction that affected Daniel negatively. The king didn't mean Daniel any harm but his enemies plotted against him and made the king to sign a decree that would trap Daniel. They requested that the king should sign a law that no one should pray to any other God except the king for thirty days and anybody that did would be thrown into the lions’ den. The Bible says as soon as Daniel knew that the king had signed the decree, he opened the door and windows of his house, faced Jerusalem and began to call on the name of the Lord. Daniel didn't obey the king's command when it was contrary to the command of God – the Eternal King. The enemies took Daniel to the king and demanded that he should be punished according to the decree of the king. It is astonishing that even the king couldn't go against his decree. The king's word was so powerful and binding on everyone, including himself.
When we say that Jesus is the King of Heaven and earth, the full import of it should be striking. Isaiah 9:6 says, ...the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jesus is King. All power and authority of the king is in Jesus. His words are full of power.

Prayer/Action
* Jesus the King, let Your Word which You have spoken stand in my destiny, in Jesus’ name.
* Jesus, let the authority of a king back up my words from today in Jesus’ name.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, Your Word says my place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks, that my bread shall be given me and my water shall not be scarce (Isa. 3:16), this I receive today, in Jesus' name.

The Word of Authority

Sunday 23 October
READ: Mark 11:19 - 21
MORE LESSON: Matt. 24:35

Jesus was walking one day and He was hungry. He got to a fig tree, expecting to get something to eat and there was none, He looked at the tree and cursed it. The next morning, when they were passing by, Peter, one of the apostles, called their attention to the fact that the tree that Jesus spoke against the previous day had quickly dried up. The Bible puts it this way, Peter calling to remembrance said unto Him, master, behold the tree which thou curseth is weathered away. Jesus was not the one who called on them to say, 'Look at the tree I cursed yesterday, it has dried up'. It was normal to Him to have what He says to be obeyed. It wasn't spectacular to Him that His Word had been fulfilled. So He didn't need to call people's attention to see what He had done.
Even if a tree is cut down with an axe, it wouldn't dry up before the next day. The tree that Jesus spoke to dried up in less than 12 hours. That's the power of the King's Word; the word of His authority is backed by the force of Heaven. The potency of the Word of God is such that things and situations respond to it instantly. Any man that is full of the Word of God becomes a threat to the kingdom of darkness. It is a weapon that no demon or power on earth or beneath the earth can withstand. Heaven and earth respond to the Word of God. It is the only weapon that is eternal, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away: Matt. 24:35. When your situation has defied every solution, apply the Word. It has never failed and it will never fail.
You must know how to release the word of authority. The authority that Jesus had when He spoke to the tree has been given to you. Speak authoritatively to your situations and watch the miracle that God will do as He turns your terrible situation to a testimony. For you to be able to speak the word of authority, you must first be filled with the Word of God on the inside. It is what is inside that determines what comes out. Jesus could speak with authority because He is the Word Himself. It is the Word of God inside you that makes you become a person who is filled with words of authority.

Prayer/Action
* Command every planting of the enemy in your life to dry up now, in Jesus’ name.
* Speak by the word of authority, progress, advancement, success, healing to your life.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every wall of delay and frustration standing between me and my Rehoboth, like the wall of Jericho, collapse now, in the name of Jesus.

Succeeding in your Career II

Saturday 22 October
READ: Dan 2: 14 - 28, 46 - 49
MORE LESSON: Eph. 4:24-28

Failure is not your heritage. Poverty and failure are not your kin as long as you are in Christ. It is important for Christians to succeed, especially in their careers, so that the glory of the Lord will be displayed in their lives at the workplace where they have the greatest contact with unbelievers. The unbelievers may not be in Church to see the great things God is doing but they will confess the greatness of God when they see the great things He is achieving through you in the workplace and you give the credit to Him without claiming that it is your expertise that is working for you,
Daniel was a member of the parliament in the Chaldean Kingdom under King Nebuchadnezzar. The king had a dream and he wanted his wise men to tell him the dream and its interpretation. He added that if they didn't they would all be killed. It was a humanly impossible task, to tell another man what he dreamt. All the magicians, astrologers, senators and special advisers in Babylon were helpless as the king commanded that all should be executed. Daniel and his friends however sought the Lord and unlocked the mystery that no other person in the kingdom could. The Holy Spirit revealed the mystery to Daniel in a vision. You can engage the Holy Spirit for excellence and success in your career. Operating the gifts of the Spirit should not be limited to church; you can excel in your career through the working of the Holy Spirit in you. Your knowledge of what God has prepared for you in your profession determines how much you will succeed in it. Your knowledge of God is important even to your career and professional life.
Daniel had friends with whom he prayed and worked. Many fail in their career because of evil company. The Bible says, He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed: Prov 13:20. Stop moving with people who are not going anywhere. If you will be a success in life, you must walk with people that are making it.
People sometimes struggle in their work and career because they are operating under curses. A curse is a powerful word that is invoked to ensure that a man doesn't do well. Curses are supervised and enforced by demonic power. Engage the power of the name of Jesus to break every curse over your life. Also pay your tithes consistently to ensure that you do not bring a curse on yourself.
The following additional points should be noted on your way to success:
1. Work hard (Prov. 22:29).
2. Always add value to yourself (2 Pet. 1: 5 -8).
3. Develop a great vision and dreams for your life.
4. Stay connected to your God (2 Chron. 26:5).

Prayer/Action
* Father, let greater wisdom for greater exploits than what was manifested by Daniel in Babylon manifest in my life, in Jesus’ name.
* The company of people I need to attain success in all areas shall locate me, in Jesus’ name.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
My Father, my Father, by the reason of Your power, I shall not run from battle, I shall win over every battle, in the name of Jesus.
