Exceptional Help

Thursday 3 November
READ: 2 Sam. 5: 6-10
MORE LESSON: Psa. 18: 29

In today’s text, David led his army against the Jebusites who lived in the rocky fortress. When they heard that David was coming, they mocked him and told him their habitation was so fortified that a weakling like David could not defeat them. In fact, they told him that even if the lame and the blind in the land were to form the army to fight against him, they would defeat him. Obviously, David was still small and had not attained all the greatness he later had. So they under-estimated and mocked him. Everywhere you have been washed down and mocked, the help of God will lift you up and place you above your mockers, in Jesus’ name.
It was like my story in secondary school. One of my teachers once looked at me and said, 'You, even if they give you the answer script and ask you to copy, you will still copy wrongly and fail'. They believed that I would not amount to anything. But today, the Lord has brought me to a great place. After the mockery done to David by the inhabitants, he invaded that city, defeated the people of the land and took over the land. I am particularly impressed with what David did after he took that city; he named it after himself and made it his headquarters, So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the City of David...: 2 Sam. 5:9. That is the city called Jerusalem today; the capital city during the reign of David and the headquarters of the nation of Israel. He turned the place of his mockery to an eternal memorial of his greatness. That is what God is set to do for you today.
It is the exceptional help of God that made David to prevail where he had been disdained. He stated this secret of his success in Psa. 18: 29, For by thee, I have run through a troop; and by my God, have I leaped over a wall. Today, the help of God will locate you and you will amaze critics and enemies to record an astounding victory.
I pray for you today that where people have said there is no place for you, you will become the head. That office that refused to give you a job because you are a child of God will soon be bought over by you. When you enter that office, you will enter as the CEO. An exceptional help is on the way for you this year. God will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Lift up your hand and shout Amen!

Prayer/Action
* Ask the Lord to give you honour and fame in the same land where you dwell.
* Ask the Lord to send you exceptional help today.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
Today, every anti-testimony altar erected against me and my family is here by dismantled by fire, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Get the Blessing!

Wednesday 2 November
READ: Gen. 12:1-5
MORE LESSON: Gen. 22:16-18

Abraham's name has become an epitome of faith and greatness. The greatness of Abraham's name is more now than when he was alive. If you go to the nation of Israel today, you will see how greatly they revere him. Several contemporary countries and religions have also laid claim to descent from Abraham. When a man is successful, everybody claims to be related to him.
I can't tell what dreams Abraham had for his life when he was in his father's house in Ur of the Chaldeans but I can boldly say that when he met with God, God gave him a dream and destiny that was bigger than he could ever have imagined for himself. He encountered God and connected with a blessing so massive that it redefined the course of his life and gave him a name beyond his generation. Abraham connected with God and got a blessing that transformed him from a nonentity to a trans- generational role model.
You may not have a vision for your life or you may be pursuing a life that is less than God's will for you. But I want you to know that there is a blessing that you can connect with today that can turn you to a joy of many generations. When this blessing locates you, you also will get to a point that when people want to define greatness, they will refer to you. Greatness, fulfilment in destiny and becoming a generational praise are derivatives of God's blessing upon a man. This same blessing that He gave to Abraham is available to you, according to Gal 3: 14, That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
The same blessing that was given to Abraham is available to you through Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ connects you with the blessing of Abraham. This blessing starts with the salvation of your soul and healing of your body; then it proceeds to greatness, wealth, trans-generational impact and good success. Do not ever make light of God's blessing; it has the capacity to cause the desired shift in your destiny.
There have been people, both in history and contemporary times, that are associated with wealth and greatness. There are people who, when you mention their names, the first thing that comes to mind is wealth. The blessing that you will enter into from your encounter with God that will come your way today is such that when next people want to describe great things, they will make reference to you. I bless you with the blessing of the Lord that makes your life become more than all you have ever dreamt. As you go out today, greatness will happen to you, in Jesus’ name. Ask God for the blessings of Abraham upon your entire destiny today.

Prayer/Action
* In the name of Jesus, I connect to the blessing that will turn me to a joy of many generations
* Because God has proclaimed me blessed, I am blessed and not cursed, in Jesus’ name.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER
This month, helpers of destiny shall not be lacking on my pathway, in the name of Jesus.

Practising Praise

Tuesday 1 November
READ: Eph. 5:20
MORE LESSON: 1 Tim. 2: 8

You must learn to give praise and you must learn to practise praise ahead of situations of life. Most things we do in life are learnt; we learnt how to walk, talk and read. Giving praise does not come naturally; it has to be learnt. The Scripture urges us to give thanks always. There is no season or location for praise; praise is for all times, at all places and in all situations. The Bible wants us to lift up holy hands everywhere (1 Tim. 2: 8). This should be done in praise and worship of God. You should learn how to praise and worship God, and even learn and practise how you will give your testimony before it shows up.
Everything that one wishes to excel in must be learnt and perfected. Praise also must be practised ad perfected in your life. You should practise praise so much till it becomes a natural part of you. Let the expression 'thank you Jesus', 'Blessed be the name of the Lord', 'Praise God' become statements that are so much part of you that you often say them even unconsciously. That results only from a life that has practised and perfected praise.
The following points should be noted:
1. If you must practise praise, you must willingly decide to do it. Praise is a decision; it is not an impartation. You don't need any one to lay hands on you before you praise God. All it takes is for you to decide to do it.
2. Praise is a process, so it must be learnt. No man masters a skill without learning it. Just as with all skills, you learn praise by doing it repeatedly and often, both when you feel like it and when you don't. Praise God all the time.
3. Praise cannot be learnt without doing it. Praise is not learnt by merely reading books on praise. The only way to learn how to pray is to pray. Similarly, the only way to learn how to praise is to praise. Furthermore, you don't learn praise to add to your CV that you are a praise singer; you learn praise so that you can praise God. You learn praise by praising Him. So begin to praise Him all the time.
4. You must praise God in church and out of church. Do not limit your praise of God to a particular location; do not exempt yourself when the praise of God is going on in the church. Men lose a great deal when corporate praise and worship is going on and they stand aloof. You must praise God in your secret place and in church.
5. You should learn from others when they praise. When somebody is praising God by your side, join him to praise. When people are dancing in church, don't just watch, do so as well.
6. The ultimate in life only comes by praise.
Praise the Lord!

Prayer/Action
* Confess as the psalmist that your heart is fixed for praise.
* Declare that God’s praise shall continually be in your mouth.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC PRAYER

Worship the King II

Monday 31 October
READ: Acts 1: 12 -15
MORE LESSON: John 2: 5

Only Jesus, the King of kings, deserves our worship. Only Jesus can save and only Jesus should be worshipped. No saint, apostle or prophet should be worshipped; not even the disciples of Jesus, His father or His mother. The worship of any other than Jesus is idolatry, no matter how closely related the person is to Him. If the worship is not to Jesus, it is unacceptable.
The mother of Jesus was a worshipper of Jesus. She, like every other person, received salvation and baptism of the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ. When the disciples gathered in the upper room, praying and worshipping Jesus, Mary the mother of Jesus was there. She was a believer in the Lordship of Jesus. She didn't see Him as her son anymore; she knew that He was God in the flesh who died, rose again and is now seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High for the remission of the sin of the whole world, including hers. Mary believed and was saved.
Culturally, the mother of a king is under the lordship of the king. This is what Mary understood when some people needed a miracle and came to her. She quickly directed them to Jesus and advised them to do whatever Jesus told them to do. She knew that she couldn't give them a miracle; only Jesus could (John 2: 5 – 9).
I remember that before my mother went to be with the Lord, I was ministering under the unction of the Lord and I was laying hands on all the people in a service. As people passed on the line, I laid hands as quickly as I could without looking at their faces. All of a sudden, I saw the next person kneeling before me and as I laid hands on her head, I discovered in a fleeting moment that it was my mother. I was immediately at a loss how to react as I wondered, 'What have I just done now? My own mother knelt before me and I laid hands on her.' When we got home, I wanted to apologise for laying hands on her head and was questioning why she came and knelt before me. However, I thank God for the height of her spiritual understanding. She laughed and said that she wasn't kneeling before me. She said, 'Son, there is Someone in you that is greater than both you and I. It was that Person I was kneeling before.' From that day, I had an understanding that it is not the person of the king that is the question when it comes to the worship of the king. It is the King in him that is worshipped.
Only Jesus the King deserves the worship. Even the mother of a king bows down to the king because it is not about her son; it is about the King in him.

Prayer/Action
* In the name of Jesus, the King in me shall manifest for the world to see.
* Pray that God will give you the wisdom to know how to revere His Lordship in the life of His servants.
