Men will Laugh with You

Tuesday 7 June
READ: Gen 15: 1 – 6
MORE LESSON: Gen 18: 9 - 15

Abraham is respected and regarded as the father of all in the faith because of his demonstration of faith in God (Gal 3: 7). But even faithful Abraham once got to a point where the situation looked so hopeless that he complained. In Gen 15: 1, the Lord said to Abram, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. God called him by name and made a great promise to him. One would have thought that Abraham would have celebrated such a wonderful promise but he responded, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. He heard God's promise and responded with complaints and doubts because he was overwhelmed by situations. When situations go wrong for a protracted length of time, even a man of faith can be turned to a weakling. That is why I pray for you that every stubborn situation that is making you begin to doubt God will bow and give way today, in Jesus’ name.
Even Sarah too got to the point where she didn't have faith anymore. The Lord spoke to her in Gen 18: 9 - 12, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.. . .
Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? People laughed at her so much that she began to laugh at herself. The issue had become so much of a reproach to her that she laughed at herself. But I declare by the Spirit of the Lord that every unyielding reproach that has turned your faith to unbelief is destroyed today, in Jesus’ name.
However, in Gen 21:1-3, the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. The Lord visited Sarah and she gave birth to a son and they called him Isaac – meaning laughter. Everyone that had laughed at her began to laugh with her. God will visit you and do as He has said. God will not do less than He has promised you. Whatever the promise of God is which is looking weak in your life and is starting to turn your faith to unbelief, I want you to know that God will strengthen you today and bring laughter and testimony out of that situation. The same Abraham who complained and Sarah who doubted eventually celebrated the faithfulness of God. God brought laughter out of a written-off situation for them and He will do the same for you.

Prayer/Action
* Oh Lord, replace my tears today with laughter, in Jesus’ name.
* Lord, today, give me a song as an answer to those that ask me where my God is that gives song.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I prophesy to my destiny, in the month of June, there shall be no limit to how far you can go in life in the name of Jesus.

Unthankfulness

Monday 6 June
READ: 2 Tim. 3:1-5
MORE LESSON: Lk.17:11-18

One of the signs of the end time is that people will be unthankful. Everybody will be claiming rights and they will see no reason to give thanks when things are given to them. Children will collect school fee and will not look back to say thank you. If they ever say 'thank you', it is as they pass by. If somebody has ever told you before that you are an ungrateful person, don't make light of it or defend yourself; just go on your knees to God and begin to fast and pray that God should rid you of that spirit. Unthankfulness is a demon of the end time. If it is influencing your life, please fight against it.
People are influenced by the demon of unthankfulness because they lack the ability to think deep. Those who can think deep will learn to be grateful. So if you want to live a thankful life; if you don't want that spirit of unthankfulnes that is hovering around to rest upon you, learn to think deep. When you think deep, you will know that although you don't have enough money in your pocket today, some people have money in their pocket, they even stash it up in their houses, but money cannot solve their misery. And here you are, it's just that the money hasn't come; you still have all the health. Your colleagues must have bought the best cars in town and you are still trekking. If you can think deep, you will know that the matter is that you have not bought your own; it is not that you will never buy. There is a difference between 'have not bought' and 'will not buy'. When your own will come, your colleagues’ own will have become old model.
If you think deep you will learn to resist that thing that makes men to be ungrateful. There was a time in my life when I learnt to always say, “Thank you Jesus”, but I noticed that sometimes my words were changing to “help me Lord”. So I quickly found a way to adjust myself. The message I want to leave with you this morning is that you should be thankful at all times. Even when you think there is a need to say, “Help me Lord” there are innumerable things to give thanks for. The way to live in the perilous time we are in is to learn to be thankful because there are a lot of things that can make you conclude that there are no reasons to thank God. It is ungodly to be unthankful. It is a grievous sin against God and it shuts the door of another day. Say, thank You Jesus now, and always be thankful.

Prayer/Action
* I renounce and reject every spirit of unthankfulness in me today, in Jesus’ name.
* I offer everything I have and my body a sacrifice of thanksgiving to You alone, oh Lord.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I prophesy that this month shall be a new season for good in every area of my life, in the name of Jesus

The Wonder Working Saviour 2

Sunday 5 June
READ: Mark 9: 17 – 29
MORE LESSON: Luke 1: 45

The father of a child brought his son, who was tormented by the devil, to the disciples of Jesus. Jesus was not present and the disciples could not perform the needed miracle. I am sure the disciples would have thought they could not perform because they didn't have power. But then Jesus arrived the scene, healed the boy and when asked by His disciples why they could not cast out the devil, He told them it was because they didn't have faith. Just as the disciples could not do the miracle, so will we also not be able to do such today in the absence of faith in the Lord Jesus. In verse 19, Jesus reprimanded their unbelief, O faithless generation, how long shall I suffer you? Bring him to me. One of the things we need to do mighty works is active faith in the power that is in the name of Jesus. Signs and wonders are not possible in the absence of faith.
Secondly, Jesus said to the father of the child: If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth: Mk 9: 23. Believing that all things are possible is a great factor in receiving our miracles and in being a miracle worker like Jesus. The Scripture says in Lk 1: 37, For with God nothing will be impossible. When we believe that it is possible so will it be for us and through us. The father of that boy needed to believe that even in the physical absence of Jesus, his son could be healed. He could have believed in the disciples and received his miracle.
Thirdly, Jesus pointed out to the disciples what is necessary for signs, wonders and healing in verse 29, And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. A regular and consistent prayer life is a great factor in bringing the power of God into physical manifestation. When we eat everyday of our life without the discipline of denying the body some of its cravings, we may not be able to manifest genuine power of God. Setting some days aside in the week to fast and pray is very necessary not just for miracle to happen, but for daily victory and strength in the Lord. We also contact the grace of God in the place of prayer and fasting. Divine direction, guidance and the presence of the Lord are some of the things we contact when we spend time in prayer and fasting.
Brethren, God is highly principled; so if you want to manifest His grace and power, you must have unwavering faith in Christ’s finished work knowing that all things are possible because Jesus accomplished all things for us. Believe God for yourself and others and engage in prayer and fasting regularly, and then manifest God's power raw as was manifested by Jesus.

Prayer/Action
* Father, I receive grace to wait on You in fasting and prayer regularly so that Your power can reside in me.
* I break the yoke of unbelief off my life, in Jesus’ mighty name.
* I receive the spirit of faith as it was in Jesus, in Jesus mighty name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
This year, this month and even this week, every bitter water of marah shall become sweet in the mighty name of Jesus.

The Wonder Working Saviour 1

Saturday 4 June
READ: Acts 10: 38
MORE LESSON: Psa. 44: 1 - 4

In Acts 10:38, we have the testimony of Jesus' life and ministry: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. This is the report about Jesus that ''He went about doing good”. This is the report that many heard about Him and they came running to Him; and nobody went to Jesus when He was physically on earth without getting the solution to his problem. Even before Jesus was born, it had been prophesied about Him by the prophet Isaiah, He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed: Isa 53:5. So one of the wonders that you can expect from Him is the remission of your sins and healing of your sickness. According to Psa. 103: 2, the Lord is He who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. It is a matter of fact that the wonders that Jesus would do in your life by His stripes have already been prophesied even before He was born. So God's provision for your miracle pre-dates the need you have. This is why whenever any man comes to the Lord in need of a miraculous intervention, he gets it. This is because the provision for the miracle had been made even before the need arose.
Many prophecies about Jesus even before He was born abound, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called WONDERFUL, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace: Isa.9:6. One of the names of Jesus is literally, 'Wonderful', meaning 'full of wonders'. So Jesus is full of wonders and you can access yours from Him today. The Lord Jesus is the wonder working Saviour and you can always count on Him to work wonders in your life. All you need is to believe in His name and ability. The name of Jesus is full of wonders; use that name today to command the wonder and miracle that you need and watch wonders happen in your situation. Today is a wonderful day and the wonder is in the name and person of Jesus. So, use the name of the wonder working Saviour to command miracles to happen in your life. You shall become a wonder to many, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Use the name of Jesus to command wonders to happen in your situation today.
* Decree healing, salvation and restoration for yourself and your loved ones, in Jesus’ name.
* Ask that the Lord will use your life to show how wonderful He is.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, make me sensitive to Your divine signals this month in the name of Jesus.
