Power to Create I

 STRENGTH FOR MY DAYS

A Daily Devotional by Bishop David

Power to Create I

Saturday, 26 October

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Isaiah 55:8-11 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

MORE LESSON: I Corinthians 1:27-28 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

There was a brother in our commission some 20 years ago who relocated from the north back to the south with his wife and a baby boy. Recently I met someone who said the couple had been hearing about the mighty things God is doing through me and they are happy that I am doing well. I asked after the man and his family. And the brother responded, ‘God is helping them’. But I wanted to know more about their condition. The brother said that the baby they left with is grown up and now has a degree but the only challenge was that the young man came down with a terminal disease that affected his brain and had to undergo surgery. I felt that was sad but he said that was not all, that the most interesting thing was that while he was in the hospital, one of the nurses handling his case said to him that God had asked her to marry him; and they are married today with a bouncing baby boy. With this story I came to the conclusion that what God cannot do does not exist. How can somebody in a terminal medical condition be led to the hospital to find a spouse?

The how of God can never be known to man. Apparently this man went to the hospital to seek how not to die, how to restore his health only to find a wife and he was not the one proposing; the woman did. If God can do such an unimaginable thing, you are the next in line. Even when there is no reference to your case, God can create beauty out of any ugly situation. So trust Him and all will be well.

Don't write yourself off for there is nothing God cannot turn around by His creative power sometimes with a sense of humour. No disease is a death sentence because the Creator only rested, He is still in the business of turning situations around. How do you see someone dying and you say you want to marry him? But when God is at work, anything is possible.

I speak over your life that God will turn your situation to a testimony. You will become a wonder to the world, people will hear your testimony and marvel because of what God has done, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Prayer/Action

* As the Lord to turn every situation of your life into a testimony of Joy and celebration.

* Pray that God will continuously lead you into your miracles.

* Decree that the leading of God in your life will produce a mighty breakthrough that will wonder the world.

TODAY’S PROPHETIC PRAYER: Father, today I proclaim You Lord over all my life more than ever before. Oh LORD, take Your place in my life, in the mighty name of Jesus.

The Law of Demand and Supply II

STRENGTH FOR MY DAYS

A Daily Devotional by Bishop David

The Law of Demand and Supply II

Friday, 25 October

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Matthew 25:14-30 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

MORE LESSON: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

When God wants to bless a man, He creates an opportunity for him to give. So the more the demand on what you have, the more the supply of God is opened to you and like God, you step into the dimension of always having in all sufficiency as you keep abounding in every good work. A time comes when it looks like there is nothing you do not have or cannot give. The truth is that you access more of God when you are always willing to release back to Him whatever He gives you. In other words, the more easily it is for God to access His resources in your hand, the more easily you will access His resources.

Some people are given periodic access to God's store house, but there are others who are the store keepers because they have the key to the store house and they can unlock it at will. The difference between the two is their willingness to release the resources of Heaven in their care so that the Father's will can be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Man is just a steward of all that is on the earth. According to King David in Psalm 24:1, everything belongs to God, The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

A faithful steward ensures that his master's goods are safe and that he makes profit. No one makes profit by holding on to what he has; profit comes by investing (giving). So, God expects that you will multiply His blessings in your life by sowing the seed component of the blessing. This was what earned the other servants in today's text the commendation of their master. The unfaithful servant on the other hand hid the talent and as such, even though it was not lost, the master lost the profit that would have accrued to him had he sown it. God is bound by His principles; so, you must abide by them to move His hand in your favour. Do not make God run at a loss, invest that which He has committed into your hand. This is the only way you can multiply His blessing in your life and remain relevant in His Kingdom.

A river is ever fresh because it continuously flows. The day it stops flowing, it becomes stale and poisonous to life. God is so fair that at every point, everyone has something to offer. Your seeds is not just money, there is a large variety of seeds, and every seed produces according to its kind. If you desire a financial blessing, then you should sow a financial seed. If you desire lifting, sow honour. If you desire friends and quality relationships, you must first be friendly and if you desire power, keep the fire on your altar burning through prayer and the Word. So, depending on the blessing you desire, you must know what seed to sow, then ask the Giver of seed to give you.

Prayer/Action

* Pray that you will never miss an opportunity to sow on fertile ground.

* Command every hidden talent in your life to manifest now.

* Receive wisdom to sow the right seed for a mighty harvest tomorrow.

TODAY’S PROPHETIC PRAYER: Everything working as caterpillar and cankerworm in my destiny and family, today I set you on fire. Die, in Jesus' mighty name.

TODAY’S FASTING FOCUS: Every harvest destroyer catch fire; Joel 1:4; 2:25 Judges 6:3-9

The Law of Demand and Supply I

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

MORE LESSON: Matthew 25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

God is all-sufficient. He is called the El-Shaddai, which means the multi breasted One. Breast milk is the primary source of nourishment for babies as contains all that the baby needs within the first six months of life. Just like the breast milk, God, the multi breasted One, also has all that His children need.

A nursing mother increases her supply of milk by nursing the baby constantly. In other words, the more the baby sucks, the more milk is produced. Conversely, the less a mother nurses her baby, the less milk she would produce. This is similar to the law of demand and supply which states that the more the demand for a product, the more the quantity supplied; the less the demand, the less the quantity supplied. So, for the mother to sustain and increase her supply, she must keep nursing her baby.

Let us assume God to be a nursing mother and every child in the world sucking from Him, you can imagine that the more everyone takes from Him, the more His supply. This is to say that, even if God were to give every human being on earth all that they would ever need in life, He will not even know that anything has left His treasury. His resources can never be depleted because of this simple principle.

God uses this concept to teach us on the subject of giving, which is the more we give, the more we will have, as King Solomon affirmed in Proverbs 11:24, There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. So, we tap in to the El-Shaddai dimension of God through the ministry of giving and receiving. When God wants you to have more, He creates an opportunity for you to give more. This is why both the bread and seed come from Him.

Every blessing of God in your life has two components, the bread and the seed. The bread satisfies your immediate need while the seed sustains the dimension of blessing in your life; it is for your multiplication. So, if you have ever tasted of God's blessing and it looks like it was a once and for all thing, what this means is that you ate the seed alongside the bread. Any seed you sow ensures that the supply is sustained. God is a God of systems and the system for sustaining His blessing in our lives is through the law of seed time and harvest. So, if you desire to change your level, ask God the Giver of seed to give you the seed that gives you access to the dimension of sustained flow of blessing.

Prayer/Action

* Receive grace never to withhold what is meant to be given out.

* Ask the Lord for seed that will lead you into greater dimensions of blessing.

* Pray that God will bless all the seeds that you sow.

Fasting is Powerful

 STRENGTH FOR MY DAYS

A Daily Devotional by Bishop David

Fasting is Powerful

Wednesday, 23 October

When I went up the mountain to receive the tables of stone, the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, I remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water. Deuteronomy 9:9

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Acts 13: 1-4 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. 4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

MORE LESSON: Deuteronomy 9:9-18 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water: 10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. 11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant. 12 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image. 13 Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they. 15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands. 16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you. 17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes. 18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Fasting is an extremely powerful spiritual weapon when used correctly. With it we humble our souls before the Lord, asking for total cleansing and truly repenting of our sins, and experience sanctification through the blood of Jesus: 2 Chronicles 7:14 says: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Through fasting we seek the face of the Lord, asking for His help and intervention on very critical matters as we see in Esther 4:16: Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

We pull down the strongholds of the enemy and destroy all his evil works during fasting. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

We also worship the Lord, in spirit and in truth, and hear His voice of direction concerning the work He has given us to do as recorded of the apostles in Acts 13:2: As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Fasting enables us to move the hands of the Lord against the enemies in our way, and ask for His help and His good hands upon our lives (Ezra 8:21). The heroes of faith, who have gone before us, used fasting effectively to turn situations around, and to advance the Kingdom of our God. Examples include: Moses (Deuteronomy 9:9,18); David (Psalm 35:13); Nehemiah (Nehemiah 1:4, 9:1); Ezra (Ezra 8:21-23). 4:16); Samuel (1 Samuel 7:6); Jesus (Matthew 4:2); Esther (Esther 4: 2); Paul (2 Corinthians 6:5; 11:27); the early Church (Acts 13:1-2).

Let us, therefore, follow in this glorious tradition of seeking the face of the Lord in true fasting, as we humble ourselves before the Lord.

Prayer/Action

* Give thanks to God for His Word.

* Give thanks to God who answers prayers.

* Ask that the spirit of grace and supplication may come mightily upon you.

TODAY’S PROPHETIC PRAYER: As I lay my hands on my head, I command every dormant grace of God upon my life to come alive now, in the powerful name of Jesus.
