From Poverty to Wealth

Thursday 30 April
READ: Deut. 8:18
MORE LESSON: Amos 9:13

There is a law of cause and effect that governs everything in life. Wealth doesn't just happen, it is gotten as God reveals, thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day: Deut 8: 18. Notice that this scripture doesn't say that God gives you wealth but that He gives you the power to get wealth. So you can't sit at home doing nothing and expect wealth to come. God is committed to make things happen for you when you do something.

Another principle of increase is giving. People who hate to give will be poor because God doesn't prosper a tight-fisted man. Stinginess will activate the operation of poverty in a man's life. Equally, men that do not do anything will be poor because God doesn't prosper a lazy man. Laziness reduces a man to zero, The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. Prov. 12: 24. Another harbinger of poverty is reckless spending. Some waste all the resources that God puts in their hands because they buy everything they see, whether necessary or not. The Bible says that the lazy man and the man that cannot control his spending are brothers, and their father is poverty, He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster: Prov 18:9.

However, God's covenant with you is of wealth and not poverty. So you have to work by the principles of the Kingdom, and you will see that the Lord is committed to blessing you. God wants to bless you so abundantly that you will not be able to harvest it all, The time will come," says the Lord, "when the grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested: Amos 9:13 (NLT). God's intention is to increase you till you become a thousand times more than you are presently, May the LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you! Deut 1: 11. I want you to believe this scripture so that it can impart on you the confidence to rise above poverty into prosperity. God is not satisfied with what you are now, no matter how big you think you are. He wants to make you a thousand times more. A hundred percent increase is not all that God can give, He can give you a thousand increase.

Break away from the habits that propagate poverty and commit to the Kingdom principles of diligence, giving, saving, investment, wisdom and prayer. And God will take poverty far away from your generation of children and make you prosperous.

Prayer/Action
*Ask the Lord for the power to get wealth.
* Ask God to give you grace to follow the principles of the Scripture for prosperity.
* Ask the Lord to make you a thousand times more and bless you as He has promised.
* Ask God for wisdom to manage the prosperity He will give you for His Kingdom and glory.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I celebrate the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for not giving me over to the wishes of my enemy this far into 2015.

Garment of Glory

Wednesday 29 April
READ: Ex 28: 1-2
MORE LESSON: Num 20: 25 - 29

God instructed that holy garments be made for Aaron the high priest for glory and for beauty and on the garments were written Holiness to the Lord: Exo. 28: 36. When Aaron was to die and cease to be the high priest, God said that he should be stripped of the garment that he wore and the garment was to be given to Eleazar his son. It was only after the garment was removed from him that he died, And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount: Num 20: 28.

Aaron’s garment was for glory, beauty and also for divine immunity upon his life. In other words, God wanted to take away Aaron but He couldn't until the garment of glory that he wore was removed. Conversely, Eleazar didn't become high priest until the garment of glory was put on him. The garment of glory put upon a man is the spiritual cover of God on him for glory, favour and protection.

The enemy always tries to strip believers of the garment of glory that God puts upon them because he knows that he cannot tamper with them as long as they have that garment on their lives. This garment is a holy garment; so satan's age long strategy to remove the garment of glory from a man's destiny is to introduce sin into the man's life. I pray that the enemy will not be able to strip you of the garment of glory, in Jesus’ name. If you are in a position of glory in ministry, family, business or career, abide in the holiness of God because that is the security and sustenance of your garment of glory.

Your prayer daily should be that God should clothe you with the heavenly garment of glory that the enemy cannot take away. When God clothes you with glory, you will never see shame. This is the prayer of Paul, For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked: 2 Cor 5:2-3. Nakedness stands for shame. I pray that you will neither see shame nor be found naked. The garment of glory will be upon your destiny continually in life and eternity.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for the garment of glory for beauty and divine immunity, protection and favour.
* Declare that your garment of glory shall never be removed.
* Pray that the power of sin that removed the garment of glory from Adam and Eve shall not be your portion.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
The Lord that answered Moses speedily at the Red sea, answer me by fire today and release my long awaited blessings to me now, in the name of Jesus.

Giant Killers

Tuesday 28 April
READ: 2 Sam 21: 15 - 22
MORE LESSON: Psa. 18:32-35

We need to exercise the same kind of faith and boldness that our fathers applied in the Scripture. David was probably a teenager when he was anointed king but when he saw the harassment of Israel by Goliath, he stood up to confront the challenge. He displayed a level of faith and boldness that is worthy of our emulation. There are many Goliaths facing the Church today and God is still looking for the Davids of our time that He will use to silence them. We need men that will stand up and take responsibility to stop the harassment of the Church by the enemy, as David stopped the reproach of Israel in the hands of Goliath (1 Sam 17: 8 – 10).

It wasn't only David that was the giant killer. There were some men that looked as if they had no future (1 Sam 22: 1 -2), who were more or less like the 'area boys' of the time: they were in debt, discontented, distressed and frustrated with life. They gathered around David and he started training and building them up. These same men were later dubbed by the Scripture as the mighty men of David. (2 Sam. 23:8).The Bible is replete with the amazing exploits of the ‘area boys’ turned great men of God. These mighty men became giant killers as well. David did not only confront his giant but also raised men that could confront giants. One of the problems of the present day Church is that we are not raising men that can confront giants but men that only jump up, shout and claim blessings but run when challenges face the Church. The leaders of the Church need to stand up to confront the giants facing the Church and take up the challenge of raising men that can slay giants as well.

A time came when David was old and there was another battle with the Philistines. Another giant faced David, got the upper hand and was determined to kill him. But one of the men that David raised quickly came to his rescue and slew the giant. The security of a leader is in how many giant killers he raises because they are the ones that will confront the giants of the future when they want to destroy the leader. As a believer or pastor, don't just raise your children or church members to be superficial Christians that seek convenience in the faith life. Rather raise them to be men that can stand up to confront the giants that face them and the Church. The only way you can teach them to be giant killers is to make them see you rise up when giants confront the Church and not run into hiding, because they will do what they see you do. Giant killers, arise and raise others too!

Prayer/Action
* Say, Lord, make me a giant killer and use me to raise greater giant killers.
* Pray that there shall be no more weaklings in the Church of Jesus.
Take oil and anoint yourself and family members for the release of the giants in you.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In the name of Jesus, I receive the strength of the Lord to leap over every wall of impossibility.

The Glory of the Call

Monday 27 April
READ: Rom 8: 29-32
MORE LESSON: Jn.17:22-23

Many times when we talk about glory, we think about material acquisition. Material acquisition is good but that is not what glory is. It is good that we understand what glory really is so that we can first of all go for the glory, even as we are blessed with material things, For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified: Rom 8:29-30 (NKJV).
There is the glory of the call of God, because when God calls a man, the end result of that call is glory. God called Abraham and he responded to the call and the whole world today can testify to the glory that Abraham has. When God calls you and you respond to the call, you have subscribed to glory. The call of God is first to salvation and then to whatever He lays on your heart to do for Him.

The text says that God predestines those He foreknows, i.e those of whom He is aware and loves. I want you to know that you have been foreknown, chosen and predestined even before the foundation of the world, According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will: Eph.1:4-5.

But that is not all, you have not only been foreknown and predestined, you have been called and the call is meant to result in glory, His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that HATH CALLED US TO GLORY AND VIRTUE: 2 Peter 1:3.

So you must know that you have been chosen, foreknown, predestined and called. There is just one more thing you have to do, that is to respond to the call. If you have not responded to the call to salvation, do that today. If God has laid something on your heart and you have not done it, do it today. If God has called you to an assignment and you have not obeyed, obey today. When you respond to the call to salvation or assignment, God will take over from there; He will justify you. Justification means He will show that it is He who called you. He will prove you are not guilty no matter your past. He will cover your faults no matter how glaring they are. Whatever any one has to say against you, He will back you up. And finally He will glorify you. There is a glory in God's call, respond today to the call of Jehovah.

Prayer/Action
* Ask the Lord to remove fear and ignorance that could hinder you from responding to God’s call to service.
* Pray that all servants of God will manifest the glory of their call and not see shame.
* Pray that the glory of God upon you will attract others to serve God and not scare them away.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In the name of Jesus, I declare that no situation of this world, positive or negative shall take the Kingdom of God from me.

The Right Hand of God

Sunday 26 April
READ: Ex 15: 1-6
MORE LESSON: Psa. 118:15-16

The right hand is the symbol of power and authority. The right hand of God signifies the power and might of God. This is what God used to bring Israel out of Egypt. Pharaoh was determined not to let the children of Israel go from slavery; but God had a weapon that He would use against Pharaoh and his host, And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go: Ex 3:19-20. The right hand of God is His weapon against strong enemies. I pray for you that God will go to war on your behalf as you hand over your battles to Him, And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee.... Exo.15:7. When the enemy rises against you like a mighty torrent, you can ask for the right hand of God to go into action against them.

The right hand of God is also His instrument for lifting and empowering men, The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly: Psa. 118: 15-16. The right hand of the Most High is exalted and when the Most High lifts you by His exalted right hand, you get higher,

. . . It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us: Rom 8:34. The right hand of God is a place of justification and mercy for believers. Jesus is at the right hand of God, making intercession for you. When you make mistakes and get it wrong, the right hand of God is where there is solace and forgiveness for you. Jesus by His blood advocates and intercedes for you at the right hand of God. So the right hand of God is a place of justification for you and judgement against your enemies. It is a place of lifting for you and of overthrowing your enemies. It is a place of comfort and cover for you and a weapon of mass destruction of your enemies. Today I want you to pray and ask for the right hand of God to rise up on your behalf.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to stretch forth His right hand and rescue your destiny from every plan of hell.
* Ask God to keep you in the pavilion of His right hand.
* Ask God to comfort, defend and sustain your destiny by His right hand.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every stranger and strange things working against my fulfilment shall fade away and be chased out of their hidden places, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Power of Service

Saturday 25 April
READ: Lk. 1:6-25, 57-64
MORE LESSON: Job 36:11-12

Zacharias and Elizabeth his wife waited on God for a child for many years but the answer did not come. They had prayed, fasted and did all they could till they were well stricken in age; this means they were both very old but still the answer didn't come. Zacharias was a priest who served God in the temple; despite the fact that he waited on God for many years and didn't have a child, he sustained his service to God. He must have concluded, God will do all that I have asked Him. If He has not done it, I will wait for Him, and I will keep serving Him. When an angel would finally bring an answer to his request, it was at the place of service that the angel met him. He got his miracle in the place of service.

Many people miss this very powerful principle. When they pray to God for something and the answer is not forthcoming, they begin to complain and then decide to withdraw from the service of God, refusing to do whatever they were doing for God. But this attitude is the deceit of the enemy, don't allow it to have its way in your life. I always ask people who choose that line of reasoning that if when you are serving God faithfully you have not got an answer to a prayer, is it when you stop serving Him that the answer will come? Obviously the way to get the answer from Him is to keep serving Him till the answer comes. Backsliding from God and from His service will not help the situation.

We have heard people say things like, I have served God for years and He has not given me a husband, I will stop serving Him. or I've been regular in church and yet I'm not passing my exams or doing well financially. I won't come to church anymore. Don't be deceived; don't stop coming to church. Sustained service is the key to activating God's promises in your life. Zacharias continued serving God and he probably was not even expecting the answer any more but God is faithful, He will not deny someone who is committed to Him. So God answered Zacharias. He will answer you but I want you to know that the answer you are looking for is tied to your continued service to God. And if you have not been committed in serving Him, this is the time to start.

Prayer/Action
* Pray that no life challenge will take you out of contact with and service to the Lord.
* Pray that no man, including you, shall serve God in vain.
* Ask God to fulfil Job 36: 11 in your life of service to His Kingdom.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every enemy posing as a friend shall be exposed and terminated today, in Jesus’ mighty name

A Thousand Times Increase

Friday 24 April
READ: Mark 4:3- 8
MORE LESSON: Deut. 1:10-11

In the parable of the sower, we see what happens when seed falls on different kinds of ground. The different types of ground denote the different kinds of hearts with which people receive the Word of God. According to the text, some seed fell by the wayside, some on the rock and some among thorns and they all didn't bear fruit. However, some fell on good soil and were fruitful. But even on the good soil, there were different levels of fruit bearing. The Scripture says that some gave thirtyfold, some sixtyfold and some a hundredfold yield. A thirtyfold return is commendable when compared to the unfruitful grounds; but it is not comparable with a hundredfold return. So we can see that fruitfulness is in levels and glory also is in levels.

In Gen 26:12, Isaac sowed during a time of famine and received in the same year a hundredfold harvest and God blessed him. He had a hundredfold and was also blessed by God. So even as great as the hundredfold is, it is not all that there is to the blessing of God. Reading further we can see other evidence of the blessing of God on Isaac's life in addition to the hundredfold that he received, And the man waxed great and went forward and grew until he became very great. For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him: Gen. 26:13-14. It is God's desire for you to receive the hundredfold increase and also be so blessed that the evidence is clear. God wants to bless you till you become the envy of the unbelievers around you. When you are blessed, it shows. It is not appropriate to keep saying that you are blessed and there is nothing to show for it. From today you will have evidence of God's blessing on your life, in the name of Jesus.

The hundredfold increase is wonderful and it is God's will for you to be a hundredfold of what you are right now by this time next year. But I have discovered that the hundredfold growth is not all there is to God's blessing. In Deut 1:11, Moses blesses the children of Israel, The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude. The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you! Deut 1: 10-11.

Even though God has already multiplied Israel to be as the stars of heaven, Moses still prays that God will make them a thousand times more. That is a thousandfold enlargement. There is truly no limit to God's capacity to bless. He has surely blessed you or else you wouldn't be where you are today. But I tell you there is more, believe God for more. Ask Him not for a hundredfold but a thousandfold abundance, and more.

Prayer/Action
* Thank God for the availability of extra blessing.
* Ask God for an overflowing blessing all through life.
* Pray that your destiny will increase more and more to the end.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every enemy of my destiny shall hear noise today from the Lord and flee,in the name of Jesus

'Come Forth'

Thursday 23 April
READ: John 11:43 – 4
MORE LESSON: 1 Sam 17:48 - 50

God has deposited something in you to make you great and you have to make it come forth. Lazarus was a great man but he was buried before he could fulfill his destiny. However, when Jesus showed up on the scene his story changed. When Jesus shows up in a matter, the situation has no option but to change. He commanded Lazarus to come forth and he that was dead came forth. He didn't stop at that, He commanded him to be loosed from the grave clothes that was used to bind him.

Lazarus, a situation, which was concluded to be over, came back alive at the command of Jesus. The Spirit of Jesus lives in you and so you can do what He did. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 2 Cor 4:13-14. For what God placed inside you to come forth, you must use your mouth to command it. You can make declarations in prayers for the deposit of greatness in you to come forth.

For the deposit of glory and greatness in you to come forth, it doesn't stop at prayers and declarations. David in the Bible was a man that made the royalty that God put in him come out. It all blossomed when he used the sling against Goliath. I'm sure he was not born with the sling, he learnt its usage. So for the greatness in you to come forth, there are skills you have to acquire through learning and there are steps you have to take by faith like David took against Goliath. There are ideas and divine inspiration inside you that you have to execute for the deposit of God in you to come out. It may be a trade, a business, a project or a ministry. When the power of God takes hold of that talent and idea, it becomes anointed and greatness comes forth out of it. Putting what is inside you to use will earn you greatness irrespective of your background, tribe or gender.

There was a lady mechanic that was invited to Aso Rock (the Nigerian Presidential Villa) sometimes ago because she was doing something extraordinary. Through that she also made news in the newspapers for being a lady auto mechanic.
Whatever your gender or background, seek divine direction and locate what God has deposited in you to earn you greatness, command it to come and then tirelessly engage it in usage till it earns you glory and greatness.

Prayer/Action
* Pray that you shall not be cut off before your greatness.
* Ask God to bless the work of your hand and take you to greater heights.
* Command every hidden gift and talents in your life to come forth into manifestation from today.
* Proclaim that you shall not be hindered in destiny.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I have set the Lord always before me, He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved no matter the situation.

How to get Revelation from God’s Word

Wednesday 22 April
READ: 2Tim2:15
MORE LESSONS: Psa.119:18

If you desire to find revelation from God's Word, whether as a preacher or a believer, one of the things you must learn to do is to ask several questions about the scriptures you read. There are two ways to read the Bible; you can read it like a piece of literature and secondly read it line by line, precept by precept and ask questions about what you read. This way you will be reading the Bible as a divine Word of God.

You can read the Bible as a literary text the same way you do when you have the Bible on tape playing. Sometimes, as you are listening to that Bible on tape, you could have the Spirit of God click on one verse. You can stop, note that verse down for an in-depth study later. But primarily there is a place for just listening to the Bible running. There is a place for just reading the Scripture, just running over it. You could take a book, for example, the book of Matthew. Let me tell you that there is no book in the Bible that is difficult to read when you do it that way. You can take Matthew, for example, and without a need to make marks, to pencil anything, to underline, just read it. You just sit down today and in a few hours, you can finish the book of Matthew. When you finish doing that, you can come back and start noting the parts that struck you. After all these you can now do what we call 'thorough study'.

In order to have a good understanding of such scriptures, sit down and look at the scriptures, take a pen, a notebook, and then read the portion that hit your spirit all over and ask yourself several questions like: 'who was speaking here?' 'Who was he speaking to?' 'What actually could be happening?' Create a scenario in your mind about what could be happening when the matter was spoken. Imagine what the portion in question looked like the day it happened. Thereafter, get some study aids and in addition pray over what you read. As you do so keep your spirit connected to God for the revelation knowledge of His word as such affect your life and relationship or fellowship with Him. In all these, remember that God values an intimate communion with you by the instrumentality of His Word through your deep study, mediation and prayers.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for indepth understanding of His Word by His Spirit.
* Ask God to help you create time for reading and studying His Word
* Rebuke every wandering thought and lack of concentration while reading the Word.
* Ask God for special ability to understand and interpret His Word.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I shall serve the Lord with all of my life and He shall bless my bread and my water.

Do not Despise the Holy Spirit

Tuesday 21 April
READ: 1 Thess 5:19 – 21
MORE LESSON: Eph. 4:29-30

It is a common practice among some believers that any where they see the Spirit of God in a way that they do not understand or have not seen before, they immediately take up a judgmental attitude and start condemning it. It is very important that we retain an attitude of openness and reverence to the manifestation of the Holy Spirit both in our lives and our congregations. When we see people moved by the Holy Spirit in our midst we should not be quick to brand them as wrong, weird or operating by strange spirits. The Church of Christ has become rigid against any move of the Spirit, because in a bid to be cautious against fake manifestations, we suspect every move of God. Caution for believers is strongly advised and necessary but we should be open to and encourage the genuine move of the Holy Spirit through tested and proven people and congregations.

In Matt 12:31-32, Jesus healed a man possessed by an evil spirit and some people started judging Him in their hearts that it was a demonic power that He used. He warned them that they were sinning against the Holy Spirit. Similarly, whenever you condemn the words, works or actions of a genuine servant of God acting under the direction of the Holy Spirit, you are despising the Holy Spirit. In the early days of my ministry, I preached on the Holy Ghost in a church where there was a very critical professor and his wife who ran down everything I preached. They stood up after my sermon and chided me and also condemned speaking in tongues and every manifestation of the Holy Spirit that I preached on. Even though some people started speaking in tongues in the meeting without me laying hands on them, some were skeptical and despised the move of the Spirit that day.

Two weeks later the man and his wife came to my house and started pleading that they were sorry for what they did. I told them not to worry because I didn't take it against them, it was God they opposed; not me. Then they opened up and showed me the arm of the wife which developed leprosy soon after their verbal attack on me in their church. When I saw the affliction, compassion welled up inside me, and I made them realize that I knew nothing about what happened to them, neither did I pray against them.

The truth is that despising the Holy Spirit is a very dangerous thing. They repented and told me that they now believed in the Holy Ghost. I didn't know what to say but I just pleaded with God for mercy and anointed them with oil. God is merciful: He healed that woman.

Today do not grieve, despise or disobey the Holy Spirit. And in case you have in any way despised any servant of God who acted or spoke under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I want you to know that there is still mercy for you. God will show mercy if you repent.

Prayer/Action
* Ask The Lord to forgive you, if you have in any way despised the Spirit in word or action any time past.
* Ask God for divine wisdom to differentiate genuity of spirits and instructions.
* Say to the Holy Spirit, “I reverence and adore you”.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I shall delight myself in the Lord, and He shall fight my battles and make my enemies His enemies always.

The Working of Miracles

Monday 20 April
READ: 2 Kings 2:9-22
MORE LESSON: 1 Cor. 12:10

Elijah was a man of God that experienced and had so many miracles performed through him by God. He was used to raise the dead and call fire from heaven. Ravens brought him food. He experienced unceasing flow of oil from a cruise of oil and so many other miracles. When he was to be taken miraculously to heaven in a chariot of fire, the double portion of the grace and mantle of the Holy Spirit upon his life was passed to his servant Elisha. Elisha went ahead to witness, experience and had so many more miracles performed through him that even after death; his bones still raised a dead man (2 Kings 13: 20-21). Moses also witnessed diverse and strange miracles operate through his ministry. These servants of God, among many others, are examples in the Old Testament of men that God gave the gift of the working of miracles.
One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to believers in the church is the gift of working of miracles. Miracles are God's supernatural intervention in the ordinary course of nature to do that which is naturally impossible or unexplainable. Miracles show the supremacy and sovereignty of God over natural laws and occurrences. The life and ministry of Jesus Christ was characterized by innumerable miracles. He healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on the water, multiplied food, turned water to wine, calmed the storm. There are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. John 21:25
I want you to know that miracles are your portion by faith in the name of Jesus. Every believer in Christ should experience and perform miracles as God wills. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:12-13. By faith in the name of Jesus Christ, you can command miracles.
In extension, there are some chosen vessels in the Body of Christ that are especially graced by the Holy Spirit such that miracles are worked through them in a higher dimension than the other believers. Such people are said to have the gift of the working of miracles. It is right to prayerfully desire this gift from God. But desire earnestly the greater gifts . . . . John 14:12-13 (ASV)
Salvation and faith in God are the most essential conditions for operating in the miraculous. If you believe today by the power of the Holy Spirit, signs and wonders will follow you, Jesus said- And these signs will accompany those who believe.... Mark 16:17

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for the gift of miracles.
* Ask that miracles will be a permanent feature in your walk with God.
Make a demand on God for a miracle and believe God for answer.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Today, I shall hear the Lord’s voice of guidance behind me saying, “This is the way, follow it”, and I shall not miss my way.

Together with your Family

Sunday 19 April
READ: Josh 24: 15
MORE LESSON: 1 Sam. 8:1-5

When God calls a man to walk with Him or to do a work for Him, He expects the man to carry his family along. Any man or woman of destiny and purpose in the Lord should know of a certainty that his spouse and children are partners with him/her in destiny and purpose, and should treat them as such. When God called Noah out of the perverse world of his generation, he told him to answer the call with his family carried along. And the LORD said unto Noah, come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Gen 7:1
God recommended Abraham to be the carrier of His covenant because God was sure that he will bring his wife and children into a covenant walk with Him. For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Gen 18:19

Joshua didn't just stand for the Lord, he vouched for his family to serve the Lord; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Josh 24:15

Many people who do great works of faith and of ministry do not have a good example to show in their marriages and family. This is not the will of God but the error of man. It is God's will that any man that serves him in whatever capacity should bring his spouse into the walk with God. Any vision you pursue should include your life partner. Some men believe that they are so anointed and competent that they think that the only contribution that their wife has to make in their life and vision is to cook meals, clean the house and give birth to children. Some women also never build capacity and develop themselves for the vision, purpose and ministry of their husband but think that once they get married and they can cook good meals, all is settled.

God's will is that couples be partners in life, purpose, vision and destiny. The responsibility to make this happen is on both the man and the woman. It is also each person's responsibility to add value to and develop the other for the destiny that God has prepared for them together. I pray that your family will be one in purpose and vision; the father, mother and children will all enter into God's prepared destiny for you. Your family will not be like Lot's family that one was godly and some fell by the way side in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Pray for your pastor’s home that his family will not miss heaven.
* Ask God to grant His servants the wisdom to begin ministry from their own home and family.
* Pray that children like Eli’s children and Samuel’s children will not be the portion of our minister’s families

PROPHETIC PRAYER
The Lord is my sun and my shield, the Lord will give me grace and glory, no good thing will He withhold from me, in Jesus’ name.

Joshua: The Servant Made Leader

Saturday 18 April
READ: Exo 33: 11
MORE LESSON: Exo 24: 9 - 18

Moses was a man of God in a class of his own. The kinds of divine encounter and miracle that Moses experienced are rare in any other man on earth. When Moses died, God had to bury him by Himself so that no man knows his tomb. That was necessary because men would have turned his tomb to an object of worship (Deut 34:5-6). Indeed, Moses was an exceptional man of God. After Moses died, God needed a replacement for Him. God could have chosen any of the leaders and princes of Israel to step into Moses shoes but He chose the young man, Joshua whom the people didn't see as a leader but as simply 'Moses' servant (Num 11:28). There was a secret that took Joshua to greatness, and that secret is service.

Service gives a man the opportunity to encounter the greatness that he could not have encountered by himself. All the while when Moses was experiencing divine encounters with God, there was a silent figure that enjoyed these encounters with him – Joshua was present as a servant, experiencing the supernatural with Moses. Even in the legendary encounter when God spoke to Moses face to face, Joshua was there.

So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he (Moses) would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle: Exo. 33:11-12 (NKJV) Everybody talks about how Moses saw God but we forget that there was a silent servant that humbly followed him about and so was with him when he saw God.

Also, when Moses went up the mountain for forty days and was enveloped by the glory of God to receive the tablets of the law, his servant Joshua was there with him (Ex 24: 13 – 18). Even though Aaron and his sons were the priests and there were seventy elders that were ordained by Moses, it was Joshua, who didn't have any title, that had the opportunity to go up the mountain to encounter God. He didn't deserve to be there; he entered as a servant. He saw it all silently as he followed Moses around so he knew the ‘in and out’ of the work of the Lord. No wonder he later became a miracle worker too and when it was time for someone to lead Israel into the Promised Land, God told Moses to lay hands on him. Joshua went ahead to record great exploits and even succeeded where Moses had failed. Joshua was an ordinary servant who became an extraordinary leader. That is the benefit of service. You can decide to serve today and you will see God take you to the extraordinary place.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to help you never to turn away from any God-given assignment.
* Pray that whatever God has done for others by service He will do also for you.
* Pray that you will not be slothful in business, but fervent in the spirit serving the Lord.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Today is the day of my advance in grace and glory.

God’s Five Purposes for every Believer

Thursday 16 April
READ: Rom. 8:28; Eph. 3:11 MORE LESSONS: Eph. 1:11

There are responsibilities to meet and privileges to enjoy as members of the Church. The responsibilities include:

(I) God wants you to be a member of His family, to have fellowship with Him and with one another. Following Christ is not just a matter of believing, it also involves belonging and living in cordial relationship with one another (I Pet. 1:3; Eph. 2:19).

(ii) God wants you to be a model of His character through discipleship; be like Christ in character (I Pet. 2:21). Maturity is not measured by one's learning but by one's lifestyle.

(iii) God wants you to be a minister of His grace (service or ministry) and to use the gifts, talents and opportunities He gives you to benefit others (I Pet. 4:10; Eph. 2:10).

(iv) God wants you to be a messenger of His love through evangelism (Acts 20:24; II Cor. 5:19-20). In fact, our mission here on earth is to tell others about Christ.

(v) God wants you to be a magnifier of His name in worship (Psa. 34:3). Each of us has a personal responsibility to worship God (Exo. 20:3) and not our job, family, money, property etc. God’s children are to be thankful for these responsibilities and privileges, And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful: Col. 3:15.

Privileges of Believers
Spiritual and emotional benefits accrue from fulfilling the purposes mentioned above. Some of the privileges are:
(I) Worship helps people to focus on God.
(ii) Fellowship helps one to face life’s problems.
(iii) Discipleship helps to fortify one's faith.
(iv) Ministry helps one to find one's talents.
(v) Evangelism helps men fulfil their mission.

You were created for His purpose and may you discover and fulfil God's purpose for your life.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for a clear vision of your purpose in life.
* Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide your steps to God’s plan for your life.
* Pray that you will not live a wasted life but a God-filled destiny.
** What do you know is God’s definite purpose for your life? How much of your time do you invest in it? Definite purpose is the key to a fruitful life.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In the name of Jesus, I revoke and turn into blessing, every curse pronouncedupon my life; from now on, I shall be unstoppable.

Flee Fornication

Wednesday 15 April
READ: Eph.5:21-23
MORE LESSONS: I Cor. 6:9-10

Purity of life is one great priority of God. He ordained marriage to, among others, prevent immorality and every sexual sin. Sexual immorality is one of the most grievous sins; it almost ruined the nation of Israel. God in His anger burst out, …let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them….: Exo. 32:10. The Israelites pushed God to the wall when they engaged in immorality and God was ready to change His plan of taking them to the Promised Land. No matter how sure a promise may be, when you choose to tow the line of carnal passion, God will have no choice but to change His mind.

It is very sad today that teenagers and young people see nothing wrong with sex before marriage. Reports have it that 43% of teenagers see nothing wrong with sex before marriage and about 36% are either living with a man/woman for sexual reasons or intend to do so before they marry.

This is contrary to the Word of God, But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul...: Prov. 6:32-33.When you allow anybody to defile you sexually, you are choosing destruction, wound, dishonour and lasting reproach. God frowns at sex outside marriage and will severely punish anyone who ventures into it, Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge: Heb. 13:4. So determine to remain pure for your (future) partner because apart from its grievous consequences, it is disobedience to God.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to help you keep your bed undefiled.
* Immorality is in different shades and forms, pray that non of it will have a hold on your destiny.
* Rebuke the spirit of immorality that is at work in this generation.
** Promise God to keep His temple (your body) holy.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Lord, today, I repent of all the sins and mistakes I have ever committed that have given the enemy an in-road into my life and destiny; forgive me, oh Lord!

Burn The Bridge II

Tuesday 14 April
READ: Heb. 11:16-26
MORE LESSONS: Rev. 21;1-27

Paul admonished the Galatians, For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor: Gal. 2:18. Today’s reading further gives us reasons why Moses, Joshua and Caleb were not mindful of Egypt where they came from. They had a desire for the better country, a desire that was ever on their minds. They looked for a city which had foundations whose builder and maker is God (Heb. 11:10). They were concerned about the city that God Himself prepared for them: the streets of gold, the beautiful mansions, the crown of life, eternity with God, etc. No wonder they were committed and never contemplated going back to Egypt.

Unlike Moses, Joshua and Caleb, the love and crave for the material things of this world have taken over many people who, like the rich fool in Lk. 12:13-21, have no desire for a better country (heaven). Rather, they are busy laying up treasures on earth, drinking, eating and making merry. You can know whether a man has a desire for heaven or not by the way he invests his treasures, time and energy: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also: Matt. 6:21.

Heaven is a better country because believers will be in God’s presence and will not be limited by time and space. That is where Paul, Peter, David are now. Nothing in this world compares with it. The rich man in Lazarus’ story saw it from hell and greatly desired it for himself and his siblings but it was too late. Today is the time to decide for heaven by surrendering your life to Jesus in everything, living a holy life and burning everything that drags you back to Egypt, no matter how valuable and expensive they may be.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to restore your first love for Him and His work.
* Ask for more of God in everything.
* Pray for a life totally focused and committed to eternal values.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I plead the Blood of Jesus over this day and I refuse the enemy from having any memorial in it.

Burn the Bridge I

Monday 13 April
READ: Heb. 11:13-16
MORE LESSONS: Jn. 21:1-17

Moses, Joshua and Caleb left Egypt the same day with the others but, unlike others, they were able to see and enter the promised land (Canaan). As soon as they left Egypt, they destroyed the bridge (the thought of the garlic, onion, etc) that could still link them with Egypt. They had the opportunity and means to lead the people back to Egypt if they so wished but they never did that because the bridge that linked them to Egypt (friends, colleagues, neighbours) had been destroyed in their hearts. Their minds were made up.

Father Abraham was so determined (Gen. 24:1-9) not to return to his native land such that even to take a wife for Isaac, he sent his servant back to his people. As far as father Abraham was concerned, the bridge that linked him to his home town no longer existed. Elisha destroyed the bridge (the oxen) that had the potential of linking him back to his former profession after he accepted the call of God (I Kgs. 19:19-21).

Beloved, that unhealthy relationship that exists between you and that man, woman, boy or girl is a bridge that must be destroyed. What about the charm, that club you are a member of, those Egyptian garments in your wardrobe, etc; they are bridges that need to be destroyed. Determine to refuse every opportunity capable of linking you to your past life. Today, Let us... lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race that is set before us: Heb. 12;1.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to help you put your old life behind you.
* Pray that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will never have a reason to desire any of the worldly things you left behind.
* Pray that every besetting sin be totally broken over your life.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, today, You will increase my greatness and comfort me on every side.

Be Ever Ready

Sunday 12 April
READ: 1Thes. 4:11-17
MORE LESSONS: Matt. 24:29-31

Paul the apostle wrote, Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord: v17. This proves how greatly prepared he was for the coming of the Lord. Obviously, such a spirit of expectation kept the grace of God fresh upon him. For as long as he kept focus on the Lord's coming, Satan could not occupy him with any other thing. The same also goes for other people in his generation.

Unfortunately, those of us who are closer to the coming of the Lord are not in a state of preparedness as Paul and his generation were. There is a remarkable difference between the two generations. But then the admonition of the Word of God is the same for them and us, ...that ye may work honestly towards them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing: V12. Then he concluded, Comfort one another with these words: V18. The coming of Jesus should be our focus whatever may be our situation. In doing so, we are able to remain heavenly minded and undistracted, which is the mark of a mature Christian.

Never doubt that Jesus may return before the end of today. Rather, be ready to meet your God! The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness…, But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, … seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all Holy conversation and godliness: II Pet 3:9-11. Therefore, be ye also ready: Matt. 24:44. Friend, the Lord is near; you must be ready, 24/7.

Prayer/Action
* Father, help me to forsake all distractions 24 hours of every day.
* Lord, let the readiness for your coming be uppermost in my heart always.
* Rebuke every lukewarm spirit that can kill excitement for the coming of the Lord.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In the name of Jesus, I shake off every beast hanging around my destiny into the fire.

Eternal Glory II

Saturday 11 April
READ: II Chron. 26:1-5
MORE LESSON: Deut.4:28-35

Life on earth is not forever, is short, and wise men make the most of that short time. There is no difference between the poor and the rich as regard the shortness of life as they both have the same time here on earth. It is wisdom applied to use the time available that makes the difference from one person to the other. The poor man always complains of lack while the rich man multiplies his possessions. Because life is short, you must have priorities. Several people place priority on business and money making ventures but not for eternity. In any case, life always goes on, so make the most of life by taking decisions that count, not just for here but for eternity.

What are the three uppermost decisions that count for eternity?
1. Find something doing for God and about God (Psa.132:1). David had challenges and pains, yet he still took a decision for God. He was ready to lose sleep and be out of his house until God's purpose was fulfilled. Sometimes our body does not agree with the things of the spirit but it is better to harm the flesh and strengthen the spirit man. This is the pathway to eternal glory.

2. Life is about contributing to others, so take a decision to help others even in pain and you will make it (I Sam. 30:10-12). God is God to all today because of what He does for mankind despite men's unrighteousness. God pours His rain on both the wicked and the good. Be kind to someone regardless of his tribe or status.

3. Do something about your tomorrow. (Lk.12:20). The rich fool was selfish and was not rich towards God. He had no eternal plan, so even God called him a fool. Do not be foolish, make plans for eternity, store treasures in eternal accounts because you will surely give an account to God one day of how you spend your life while here on earth.

Prayer/Action
* Lord, help me to make the most of my time here on earth to further eternal matters.
* Make me relevant in Your Kingdom, in my family and nation.
* Give me grace to lay treasures in Heaven and hear, “Well done, faithful servant” when I get there.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Oh Lord, this month, make the history of my past a testimony for my tomorrow.

Eternal Glory I

Friday 10 April
READ: II Cor.4:15-18
MORE LESSON: Rev.22:1- 4

There is a strong assurance in today's reading that gladdens every heart that reads it, For our light affliction, which is but for a moment worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory: II Cor. 4:17. This means that at the end of the pain, benefits await you. From these scriptures, we can identify two types of glory: a) physical or temporal glory and b) spiritual or eternal glory.

Eternal glory can bring temporal glory but not vice versa. Spiritual ability has the capability to bring physical results. Men think it is otherwise, that is why they pursue earthly glory at the expense of eternal glory. If only they knew that it is the spiritual that settles the physical, they will focus their ability and energies more on settling the spiritual first. That is why the Bible warns, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you: Matt. 6:33. The key to every other glory is eternal glory. When men seek God, riches, honour, wealth that lasts with prosperity that endures are added to them. II Chron. 26:4-5 says as long as Uzziah sought God, the Lord made him to prosper.

However, the deceit of satan makes men to place emphasis on earthly things and add God as an addendum. This is wrong. You can actually do without earthly things but you can't survive a moment without God. Some people will never go late for interviews but they will go late to church meetings; several people respect their bosses at work but have no regard for their pastors.

The question to you this day is, Are you wise with your priority? Your pursuits for job, children, spouse and money will end but your relationship with God affects your eternity. There's an appointment with death at a time you don’t know. How ready are you? Seek eternal glory first.

Prayer/Action
* Lord, I will seek eternal glory from today and every other glory will be added to me.
* I receive grace to give priority to eternal things and focus less on the temporal.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, this month, deliver me from problem repairers, in Jesus’ name.

On Eagle’s Wings II

Thursday 9 April
READ: Deut. 32:9-12
MORE LESSON: Isa. 63:8-9

God brought Israel out of Egypt on eagle's wings. In order to do this, He did not spare anything in the land of the enemy but stretched out his mighty hand. He said in Exo. 3:20 that He would stretch out His hand, and smite Egypt with all His wonders which He will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let them go. The stretching forth of God's hands to bring forth your deliverance is what is described as carrying you on eagles' wings.
The following happen when Jehovah bears you on eagle’s wings:

1. God takes away your struggles/ labour. The eagle unlike other birds does not flap its wings to fly. It flies without stress, it does this by waiting for a strong wing to come and then it positions itself on top of it. One of the major strengths of the eagle is its feathers. The kind of feathers found in eagles are strong and as such can withstand any wind. The wind that will carry the eagle will tear the feathers of a dove. The eagle has the attribute of being fast and strong and its movement easy because it does not flap but soars. So when Jehovah bears you on eagle’s wings everything that concerns you will be fast, strong and easy. There will be no more struggles and labour in your life because you are carried on eagle's wings.

2. God unfailingly gets you to your expected destination. In Exo. 3:8 God said, And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.... This means that He will carry them to the expected destination which He promised to their fathers. God was telling them that by bearing them on eagle’s wings, He will bring them out of Egypt into Canaan; their expected destination. Moses also testified in Deut 6:22- 23 that, ...the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. He brought them out to bring them into the expected destination of a land flowing with milk and honey. When you are borne on eagle's wings there is nothing like starting a journey or project and not finishing it. On eagle's wings, you are able to soar safely to your intended destination. That shall your testimony be in this year in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for the speed and strength of an eagle for the rest journey of your life.
* Proclaim that no promise of God will fail in your destiny.
* Ask God to send forth his mighty hand against every stubborn Egyptian in your life.
* Tell God you believe in His power to do what He says.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every ancestral evil family pattern of repeated problems, I terminate you this day, in Jesus’ name.

On Eagle’s Wings I

Wednesday 8 April
READ: Exo. 19:1-5
MORE LESSON: Exo. 3:16 - 22

If you follow the story of Israel in the land of bondage , you will realize that for some of them, their slavery in Egypt could as well have been forever having lasted 430 years. This implies that there were some who were born and died in Egypt without tasting freedom. But a day came when Jehovah said to them, 'this affliction is not forever'. God expressed their deliverance by bearing them on eagle's wings. It was like God literally said, “Eagles, carry my children out of Egypt!” Eagles have speed, so an affliction of 430 years ended in a night. You will be carried on eagle's wings out of whatever represents an affliction in your destiny in Jesus Name.

When God said to Moses, “you saw what I did to the Egyptians”, God was actually giving a testimony of what He had done. The people also saw what God did, celebrated it and testified about it. So the affliction of 430 years became a testimony both for God and the people; God did and the people saw it. I want you to know today that God can do something in your life that will be a testimony for you and even for Him. When God uses your testimony to brag about Himself, that means your testimony has become God's testimony as well. I pray that God will do something in your life that next time someone wants to doubt Him, He will beat His chest and say, ‘Am I not the One that did . . .’

When God said 'did you see what I did to the Egyptians?' He was actually emphasizing the fact that He did it without anybody's contribution to the feat. It was purely the LORD's doing. 'The Lord's doing' is something that comes to you that you did not plan for, worked for, bargained for, and witnessed no effort of yours. In fact, you gave up on it and now it came as a surprise. What the LORD did to Egypt came as a surprise to both the Israelites and the Egyptians. The Egyptians could not comprehend the deliverance of Israel. In like manner your enemy will not comprehend your promotion because God Himself will execute the mission. It indeed will be the Lord's doing and it will be marvelous in your sight.

Prayer/Action
* Lift up your hand and declare that every captivity will become a past tense and a testimony
* Declare that the doings of the Lord will become a common occurrence in your life.
* Prophesy that you will ride on eagle’s wings above every mountain of your life.
* Give thanks for answered prayers with a song now.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every unrepentant pursuer of my glory, vowing not to give up, I command them dead, in Jesus’ name.

Victory over the Enemy

Tuesday 7 April
READ: 1 John 5:4
MORE LESSON: Eph. 6:16

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our* faith. 1 John 5:4 (NKJV) One thing that can give you complete victory over Satan and all his vices is your knowledge and appropriation of the promises of God as written in His Word. God has the capability to grant any prayer request. He can heal your sickness, deliver you from all oppressions and set you free. We have confidence that He will do all these for us because He has revealed in the scriptures that it is His will to do so. Answered prayers are brought about by your knowledge and faith in what God has said concerning you.

Every believer ought to have confidence in the power of God to answer his prayer. Every believer should be able to look at Satan in the face and tell him to get lost. The audacity to do this is from your knowledge of what God has said about you in the His Word. The Word says that you are seated with Christ far above principalities and powers (Eph 1: 20 – 21, 2: 6) Victory over the powers of the enemy is within the reach of all of God's children if only they can stand on the promises of God. Next time the devil harasses you, find a scripture for an answer. Anybody can be confronted by the devil because even Jesus was confronted by Satan. But the way of victory over the devil was revealed by Jesus when He was confronted. Jesus had a scripture to answer for everything the devil said. Jesus did not answer Satan from His own head but He answered from the Word. Whatever situation the enemy brings your way, there is a readymade answer in the Word. If you will answer the devil and situations of life from the Word, you can be sure of victory in destiny. This is the power of the Christian life, what is written in the scriptures.

You have to learn to appropriate the Word of God by reading, hearing and by confessing it. Thereafter, you can watch your destiny run gloriously. To enjoy victories over the devil, you have to be born again, know your position and rights in Christ by searching God's Word, Find God's will over the matter you are praying and use the Word of God to address the situation. Everything written in the Word has what it takes to be fulfilled.

Faith in what God has said concerning you is what brings victory and excellence in life. Prayers are answered on the basis of what the will of God is in His Word. I am a living example of what standing on the Word of God can do. I live by faith in His Word and I have never been disappointed. This and more will be your testimony in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
Pray this prayer after me
* my faith will not be put to shame.
* As I ask, I'll receive.
* The promise of God over my life will run to fulfilment daily.
* I believe God and His Word, so shall I prevail over every enemy, in Jesus’ name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Jesus overcame every problem that came His way to fulfilment; I shall overcome too, in Jesus’ name.

A Glimpse of Heaven

Monday 6 April
READ: Rev. 21:9-27
MORE LESSON: Rev. 20:12-15

And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. Rev.21:10. This was part of the experience of John the beloved when he was thrown into the Isle of Patmos. He saw the New Jerusalem, the capital of the universe, moved to the planet earth from the planet Heaven to be among men forever. Several other men of old who had the privilege of seeing Heaven before their death did not write what they saw, but John the beloved did. Heaven is a place of eternal bliss where God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, Holy Angels and just men who are dead on earth reside. The Bible makes us to understand that death, sorrow, pain, curse and wicked people will not be found in Heaven (Lk.20:26, Rev. 22:3-15, Matt. 25:46). But joy, rest, peace, righteousness, reward and glory are some of the things that obtain there (Lk.15:7-10, Rev.14:13, Lk.16:25, Matt. 5:11-12, Rom. 8:17-18).

Imagine you have to describe the taste of ice cream to people who have never eaten anything but pounded yam, how would you do it? I think one way you can try to do it is by comparing it to the best pounded yam ever eaten and the people’s mouth may salivate. But that comparism can’t prepare them for the rich, delicious taste of ice cream. How, then, can God describe Heaven to earthlings who have never tasted or seen heavenly reality? God can only do so by revealing it to some humans and use terms that are familiar with men like flowers, music, gold, crystal, glass.

Dearly beloved, Heaven is real and it is a place all believers should long to be. Genuine believers will not be afraid of going to Heaven because it is in their hearts already. But when you see believers who are scared to read about Heaven and are so afraid of death, then it is either they are ignorant or are not ready. Thank God for revealing Heaven to Apostle John. Whether you have that glimpse or not, John’s description is rich enough for all who truly believe the Bible to accept and long to be in God’s dwelling place called Heaven.

For those who believe the Bible about Heaven, making it to the place is a task that must be done, not even death should scare such people. Rather death must be seen as a mere transporter to Heaven, not an end. Beloved, do everything to make Heaven. First, be born again by accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Then live a righteous life.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to take from you anything that can take Heaven from you.
* Pray that your name will not be missing in the Lamb’s book of life.
* Pray that you will begin to experience Heaven on earth.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
This new month, my expectation shall not be cut short, in the name of Jesus.

Jesus Witness Today

Sunday 5 April
READ: Acts 1:1-11
MORE LESSON: Mk. 16:14-20

Jesus the author and finisher of the Christian faith came, died and resurrected on the third day. And the Scripture says having taken captivity captive, Jesus gave gifts to the Church for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. The gifts of the apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers to the church by Jesus is to grow the believers so that all can assume the full stature of Christ.
Moreover, our text makes us to appreciate what things Jesus did to enable the apostles become His effective witnesses, But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth: v8. Every spiritual office in God's Kingdom is for the purpose of being His witness, ye shall be witnesses unto me. Witnesses are people who tell of their experience. It is interesting to find that Jesus did not call us to be lawyers as a lawyer presents her case and argues its merit or soldiers, who defend their country and preserve its interests. But He called us to be witnesses of Him.

The book of the Acts of the Apostles is full of witnesses; ordinary people who have extraordinary grace from God. Some of them give generously, some speak eloquently, some act with boldness while others move from town to town spreading the good news of the gospel of Christ. A few sacrifice their lives. After each of them has received the Holy Spirit's power, they move the mission of Jesus forward.

Today, the Church of God needs all sorts of members, people who will preach and speak God's truth, ushers who will make visitors and new comers feel welcome, singers who will lift the hearts of believers towards Heaven, givers who are cheerful and generous. But above all the Church needs witnesses, people who will listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and act promptly in faith. The weaknesses, quarrels, in-fighting, distraction and offence in church will disappear when we all heed the command of Jesus and become not church title holders but His witnesses. That is the highest title every believer should aspire to. Any title and name that we carry in church must have His witness added or else there will be no reward in Heaven. Be a Jesus’ witness from today, it is cheap, simple and easy; you don't need anyone to ordain you into this office because by redemption you have already been ordained into it. Jesus commands today, ...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel.... Mark 16:15. Jesus died for this, you are alive for this.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for the Holy Ghost power afresh to be an effective witness of Jesus.
* Ask God to help you to see your place as a witness in the ongoing mission to spread the gospel to all people.
** Memorise I Cor. 9:16 and meditate on it all day.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, every plan and target of the enemy over my destiny this month, I declare them null and void, in Jesus’ mighty name.

That God may be Glorified

Saturday 4 April
READ: John 9: 3
MORE LESSON: John 9: 1-37

Many times in life we do not understand God's purpose for taking us through some things that we go through. When some people see someone going through one challenge or the other, they insist that it is because of the person’s sin; then they start gossiping about him. The person also gets discouraged and starts complaining that God has forgotten and forsaken him. This makes him begin to say and do things that will stop his deliverance from coming through. Of a truth, when things go bad, satan could have been allowed access to a man's life because the man has committed sin. However, sin is not the only reason why challenges come. Many times God allows us to go through troubles so that He might be glorified in our lives.

In the text, Jesus and His disciples meet a man who has been blind from his mother's womb. The first question that the disciples ask is, ...who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jn. 9:2. I don't think that should be the first question. They don't even ask Jesus what could be done to help the man; rather they are interested in who sinned that the man was born blind. The answer that Jesus gives them reveals something about the nature of God, Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him: Jn. 9:3.

I want you to know that what you are going through is for the glory of God to be made manifest in you. Do not lose heart or be discouraged; hold on because God wants to be glorified in your issue.

Another typical example is when the children of Israel are being oppressed by Pharaoh. God allows them to be in Egypt; Pharaoh oppresses them and after God deals with Pharoah, he allows the people to go. As if that is not enough, Pharaoh pursues them to the Red Sea. God allows them to get to the tight spot as the hosts of Pharaoh pursue them from behind and the Red Sea is in front. The people cry, thinking that they are trapped because God has forsaken them. On the other hand God vows, . . . I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen: Exo 14:17 -18.

Men might even oppress you for a season but God has not forsaken you. He wants to take honour over your enemies by manifesting His works in your life. God will be glorified in your matter, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer/Action
* Pray that in all things God will be glorified in your life.
* Ask God to turn every situation in your life around to His glory.
* Ask God to get honour over your adversary.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, concerning that matter….. (mention it) let me hear joy and gladness this month.

One Family by His Blood

Friday 3 April
READ: Eph. 2:11-22
MORE LESSON: Gal. 3:26-29

Our texts vividly paint the picture of one’s state before one comes to know the Lord and the new position one assumes immediately one comes to God's Kingdom by the blood of Christ, That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: v12. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God: Eph. 2:19. What a great change, all by the blood of Jesus! Every believer in Christ Jesus actually belongs to the same family because all are washed by the same blood and born by the same Spirit. But sometimes in the church you see people tend to be tribal, associating with others like them and avoiding those who are different either by tribe, achievement, language or age.

But Paul the apostle emphasises, For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us: v14. Dearly beloved, having broken down the wall that could separate us in church and in the Body of Christ, Jesus calls on everyone from different racial and national backgrounds, women, men, boys, girls, the rich, the poor, people with diverse political convictions, to be one. One of the supreme benefits of salvation is a sense of belonging; as you belong to God so you belong to His Church. New believers are just as much a part of the Church as old time members.

The Church of Christ is not a social club but a spiritual fellowship united by Jesus Christ through His blood. We are all fellow citizens and members of God's household. We all who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus must see ourselves first as members of the Household of God, joint heirs with Jesus and fellow brethren, regardless of race, colour, gender, language or tribe. Each time we do anything against this brotherhood we deny the power of the blood of Jesus and its privileges.

Prayer/Action
* Thank God for the gift of Jesus to mankind.
* Ask God to destroy anything that causes division in the Body of Christ and among believers.
* Ask God to reunite His Church and grant His children a sense of bonding by the blood of Jesus.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
O Lord, among the multitude, locate me for an unforgettable encounter this month, in the name of Jesus.

It is your Turn II

Thursday 2 April
READ: Est. 6:1-11
MORE LESSON: Psa. 126:1-6

whenever any earthly king decides to favour a man, that man will experience a drastic positive change in a matter of little time. All it takes for a man to be promoted, blessed or made rich in a kingdom is just for the king to decide to favour that man. So when the king of a domain, for whatever reason, decides that it is your turn to be favoured, you are in for a change of a life time. In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. Prov 16:15.

This is well portrayed in the story of Mordecai in the Bible: So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself? Est 6:6.

King Ahasuerus told Haman that he wanted to honour somebody and Haman thought that it was he who the king wanted to honour, so he carefully designed the kind of honour that should be accorded to the man. The favour and honour was however for Mordecai, and so a gateman was made to ride on the king's horse and everyone bowed to him. The favour continued until Mordecai became the second in command to the king ( Esther 10: 3)

That was just an earthly king, how much more when the King of kings decides that He wants to favour you. You experience a relocation, a breaking forth and a breaking through. Doors gladly open because it is about a season of change and a season of honour. King Ahasuerus delighted to honour Mordecai and his life never remained the same thereafter. Today, I see things working together for your good because the King of heaven has decided that it is your turn to be honoured. The King of kings has made up His mind to turn to you and favour you. Isa. 60: 1- 2 says, Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. When the light of God's favour turns to you, no matter the darkness that had covered you, your light will break forth and your glory will shine. I tell you today, Arise and shine because the King of kings and Lord of lords has delighted in you and it is your turn to be favoured.

Believe God’s Word for you, walk in what God has said, break away from companies that don't believe God can do a new thing for your life. Raise your expectation. It is your turn to laugh.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for a new season.
* Ask for the help of God to turn every pain to gain.
* Prophecy a time of favour, promotion and advancement for your life.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I receive the presence of the “fourth man” on the journey of this fourth month, in Jesus’ name.

It is your Turn I

Wednesday 1 April
READ: Gal. 4:4
MORE LESSON: Psa. 102:3

God is the God of timing and so for everything He does there is a time set to it. (Eccl. 3: 1) God had ordained the coming of His son, Jesus Christ, into the world but it had to be at a set time- the fourteenth generation from the carrying away into Babylon. So Bible records that all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. This means that even as all Biblical events were unraveling, God was watching the timing even though man may not be conscious that He was. So when it was Jesus' time to show up on the earth, nothing could stop it. The Bible says in Gal. 4:4-5 that when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. It was the fullness of time, the set time for Jesus to come and nothing could change it. When your set time comes, nothing will be able to stop you.

When your time comes, then the Lord turns to you. When the Lord turns to you, then it is your turn. The Lord will turn to you this year because it is your turn. There might be many good things you desire of the Lord that you have been praying, fasting and waiting for and they have not come, but I want you to know that it is now your turn for a turn around because your set time has come. Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come: Psa. 102:13.

The set time for your promotion, your baby, your house or your new job has come. The devil cannot stop it once God says it is time. You might have fasted, prayed and nothing happened and so you think that your situation is a foregone issue. That is not true. You will realize that once it is rainy season; with or without fasting and prayer, grasses don't have an option but to grow. Even if the grass says it doesn't want to grow so that it will not be cut down, it will still not have an option but to grow because it is raining season. When God says that it is your turn, your long awaited answer must surely come because it is your season. I prophesy that this is your time, whatever has refused to change in your life will now change and every door shut against you will now open because it is your turn in Jesus’ name.

Now cast out every discouragement, stop every doubt and negative acts, go back to prayer, scriptural confessions and give thanks because it is your turn.

Prayer/Action
* Declare that your acceptable time starts today.
* Say, “I am unstoppable from now on because it is my year of help”.
* Command every road block to be broken today because the Lord has said this is your set time

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, thank You for counting me among the living in the fourth month; I shall not die in it; I shall not be fooled; I shall be wise and blessed.
