The Final Record

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Revelation 20:11-15

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

MORE LESSON: Luke 10:20

20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Memory Verse: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

The Book of Life is not a metaphor but a divine ledger of eternal consequence. The name of every soul ever born will one day be searched for in that book. Note: the verdict is absolute: if your name is not found, you are cast into the lake of fire.

Moses, the great intercessor, once cried to God and He responded as recorded in Exodus 32:32-33: Blot me out of Your book if You won’t forgive Israel! And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. That’s not poetic language—it’s the justice of God speaking.

David prayed in Psalm 69:28: Let the wicked not be written with the righteous. He prayed so because this book makes an eternal distinction. It doesn’t lie. It doesn’t forget. It doesn’t miss a name. It is the Book of the Living, and only the righteous are in it. Though David had alluded to the book of God in other places (Psalm 56:8, Psalm 139:16),

* Those who live in iniquity and wickedness are not written in this book.

* Those who fall away from grace into apostasy shall be blotted out of this book.

John the Beloved gives us the clearest insight that this book belongs to the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). Those who worship the beast, love wickedness, worship Satan and his agents, or despise truth are not written in this book. Also, those who do not worship God in truth are not written in this book (Revelation 17:8).

Those who overcome all the evils of this world and live for God shall not be blotted out of this book. Revelation 3:5 states that those who overcome the world by faith are secure. Make no mistake: this book will be opened, and those whose names that are not found will face eternal judgment. This is not fear-mongering; it is Scripture. There is no mistake on judgment day and no second chance at the gate of hell.

However, there is hope now. If you repent today, surrender to Jesus and follow Him, your name will be written and it will not be blotted out. One day, the book will be opened. Will your name be found in it? Now is the time to decide.

Prayer/Action

* Repent of every sin and ask that the blood of Jesus will wash you clean you and your name be written in His book.

* Declare: “Father, I refuse to live in the devil's deception.”

* Pray that you will never be cast away and for help to live with the consciousness of eternity.

TODAY’S PROPHETIC PRAYER: My father and my God, today I decree no more limitation in my generations, in the mighty name of Jesus.
