The Royal You II

Wednesday 30 September
READ: I Cor. 6:9-17
MORE LESSON: I Pet. 2:9

Time and space will fail us to examine in detail some powerful examples like that donkey that Jesus rode at his memorable triumphal entry into Jerusalem, And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way: Matt.21:7-8. Jesus was the focus of that celebration but the donkey that bore Jesus on its back couldn't be separated from the honour as they removed their clothing to spread on the floor.

The ordinary donkey galloped with its dirty hoofs on those precious clothes all because it had Jesus on its back. I can bet that donkey will never forget the event! It was the best day of its life and the greatest honour any donkey ever had. You may never have had the opportunity to choose your father and mother and siblings before you were born into your earthly blood-line, but you have a yet greater opportunity, and that is to choose your spiritual family. For the spiritual is superior to the physical.

There are two spiritual fathers out there: God the Father, After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name: Matt. 6:9 and the devil, Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it: Jn. 8:44. But those who choose the devil as their father are called children of evil because the shame and darkness of the devil overshadows them and becomes their identity!

Those who choose God as their Father carry Christ the King in them and are called the sons of the King of kings. The name, honour and glory of the King is seen upon their lives because they are no ordinary people. Sickness and all manner of evil bow at their feet because their words are the words of the King who is Lord over life and death; He is the Sovereign Saviour! But the choice is yours. I beseech you to choose life in Christ the King. If there is a King with and in you then you are a royalty. Walk and live the royal life in Christ from today. There is hope for you! Jesus is Life. Stand and take your place today. Reject every name and circumstances that have shaped your life to the contrary.

Prayer/Action
* Appreciate God for making you His child indeed.
* Tell God your Father what you need to fulfil your destiny in Christ.
* Reject any attempt by satan to father you.
* Promise God you will not walk away from Him.
*Reject every attraction of satan to draw you to himself.
* Tell Jesus again, “I receive You as my Lord and Saviour”.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, as this month runs out, connect my destiny with the keys that shall open the goodness of the coming months, in Jesus’ name.

The Royal You I

Tuesday 29 September
READ: Matt. 21:1-9
MORE LESSON: Col. 1:27

I realised that the office seat of a president is called the President's chair, the car of the Queen of England is called the Queen's car, and the house of the Mayor of any city is the Mayor's house. Though the chair, car and house are made from similar materials like others around the world, they are reckoned by a prestigious name and thus, accorded some honour simply because their owners are men and women of honour.

It is thrilling to note that even in the event of selling these properties, their prices escalate incredibly owing to the same reason; the former owners were honorable and respected people so the new buyers pay for both the price of the substance and the worth of the good will of its past and powerful owners. In the same light, the office chair of a sergeant is called a sergeant's chair and the house of a witch doctor is easily referred to as a witch doctor's house. Possessions take the quality and repute of their possessors.

Life is really all about honour. Show me the people you honour and I'll show you how bright your destiny can be. There is such a thing as blessing by association. That is why you must be careful who you call your friends. They determine to a large extent whether life will be full of blessings or emptiness. Rahab the harlot became one of the great grandmothers of Jesus Christ yet she is still popularly known as the harlot because she was in the click that ran the prostitution show in Jericho, And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there: Josh.2:1. Why do we still make reference to the man that Jesus healed of blindness by the name of Bartimaeus as blind Bartimaeus? And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.

And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way: Mk.10:52. Is it that we do not believe that Jesus really cleansed him? Of course we believe, but Mr. Bartimaeus’ long dwelling in blindness makes us to still refer to him as blind Bartimaeus. That is how powerful association and situations are. Now that we carry the Spirit of God in our inside it is our right to be named according to the name of the Lord. You are the son/daughter of the King. You must not allow yourself to be called or treated less than a royal being regardless of your present circumstance.

Prayer/Action
* Prayerfully reject any negative name you are known by today.
* Ask God to change your location to His glory.
* Pray for grace to live positive marks in your generation and beyond.
* Destroy by fire every evil memorial in the archives of men that could be following you in life.
Don’t indulge in any act that will give you ungodly description.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I command every embargo cast upon my advancement in life to be lifted now, in the name of Jesus.

Fan your Flame II

Monday 28 September
READ: Acts 2:1-14, 37-41
MORE LESSON: Acts 10:38

On the day of Pentecost at the upper room, the one hundred and twenty disciples that were present caught the Holy Ghost fire, And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them: Acts 2:3. After this encounter, they were never the same anymore. The power of the Church was kindled, that which would shape and change the course of human history forever was initiated and the first effect was that the disciples began to speak in diverse tongues hitherto unknown to them and the people were surprised.

Great and impactful as that was, the disciples did not stop there. They stepped into global evangelism with their first open air crusade led by no other person than Apostle Peter, the reed that Jesus changed into a rock. The same Peter who could not witness Jesus before the little maid during Jesus' trial caught the fire and stood before the crowd with a clear message of redemption. With the Holy Ghost fire burning on his inside, he spoke courageously about Jesus. He also displayed a wonderful command of scriptural references across the entire Old Testament without prior preparation.

A close study of that great message in Acts 2: 14-36 shows courage, eloquence, vibrancy, divine accuracy, maturity and power. All these because of the fresh fire of Pentecost on Peter. Verse 37 was the peak, the people were …pricked in their heart…., to the extent of asking …what shall we do? Acts 2:37. That is what the fire of the Holy Ghost can do in a man's life, changing him entirely from timidity to great courage and many more. The result was unprecedented, Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls: Acts 2:41.

Today, ask God for the fresh fire that is able to change your life positively, and grant your life great results in everything you do for God.

Prayer/Action
* Ask for a fresh release of God’s power upon your life with results.
* Ask God for the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues and power with signs and wonders following.
--Take a decision to speak in tongues at least one hour everyday, beginning from today and see the unprecedented result.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In the name of Jesus, I turn every disappointment of this year to an appointment with greatness right now.

Fan your Flame I

Sunday 27 September
READ: I Thess. 5:16-23
MORE LESSON: II Tim. 1:6

We are living in dangerous times when the devil is dealing a deadly blow to everything he can lay his hands on, especially in the Church of God and on the people of God. He is dealing deadly blows also in the aspect of love among the brethren; there is no more true love among the brethren. He has dealt a deadly blow to relationships such that brethren are now only casual friends. The intimacy of brotherhood is dead. Satan threw sin into the Church in different colours and camouflage in the name of modernity and the Church has gone cold. Money, popularity and fame have taken their toll; many have become wounded soldiers, just limping to get home. In the face of all these, Apostle Paul says you should not let your fire die, don't kill it and don't allow anybody to quench it, Quench not the Spirit: I Thess. 5:19.

A lot of people have lost the spark of the Spirit of God that was kindled in them at redemption, which is manifested by their lack of excitement at the things of God as it used to be when they just got saved. In the beginning, night vigils were things of joy and evangelism was with burden. Any day you missed quiet time, you skipped breakfast and carried the guilt around like a murderer, and to miss one fellowship day was like missing rapture. To restore the fire and stay awake, Paul says, Pray without ceasing: I Thess. 5:17.

Then, Abstain from all appearance of evil: v22. Until Jesus' return, keep your spirit, soul and body blameless by asking God to grant you a sanctified life, that is, a life delivered totally from the roots of sin and the power of inherited sin. Ask God for the power to keep loving Him and His Word more and more everyday and your fire will be aglow to the end.

Prayer/Action
* Pray that God will rekindle your commitment to His Kingdom.
* Ask God to sanctify you wholly, spirit, soul and body.
* Ask God for a daily thirst after God and His Word.
--Have you thought of something you can do to increase your efficiency in God? Think and work at it today.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
The power of “ALMOST THERE BUT NEVER THERE”, your operation in my life and destiny is hereby terminated, in the name of Jesus.

Uproot that Evil Tree

Saturday 26 September
READ: Matt. 15:10-14
MORE LESSON: Num. 33:52-56

It is very easy to interprete verse 13 of the Scripture reading on the surface. But you don't interprete scriptures only by the understanding that you have. You could also look for a little theological explanation of the scripture. For example, the theological application revolves around Jesus teaching about the Pharisees that the doctrines they had been teaching were not acceptable to God and therefore in a very short while, God would put an end to those doctrines; that is primarily what that scripture is talking about.

The application of that scripture is that an ungodly and unscriptural doctrine is not the only thing that Jesus wants to put an end to. He wants to put an end to anything that is not acceptable to God; anything that has no foundation in God has no reason to stand. So, apply this to your life. Jesus says, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up: Matt.15:13. That tree must be uprooted because it was not planted by the Father. You can apply that to your life; what are the things that are happening in your life that are not from God? If your life belongs to God, whatever happens to it must get the consent and approval of God.

The scripture becomes relevant when applied to your life, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted. . .. Why is it that only the trees that the Father plants are the ones which must survive? Can't anyone else plant? Must it be the Father alone that plants in your life? Only the Father can plant because the Certificate of Occupancy of the land belongs to the Father as the Bible says, The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof: Psa. 24:1. The whole earth belongs to God, which means only God has the final authority to give Certificate of Occupancy for any land, because He created it. If God owns it, the devil should not use it.

By faith start your day by prophesying against every tree that the Father has not planted. That is how to make sure that every tree that the Lord has not planted is uprooted, And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith: Mk.11:22-23.

Prayer/Action
* Ask the Lord to empower you over every tree not planted by Him in your life.
* Use the name, the blood and the Spirit of God in you to uproot every demonic planting in your life.
* Declare that your life will no longer be a fertile ground for satanic seeds, in Jesus’ name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
As a prince with God I shall prevail with God and man, in the name of Jesus.

Rebuilding the Walls

Friday 25 September
READ: Neh 1: 3 - 11
MORE LESSON: 2 Chron. 7: 14

There was a time in scriptures when Israel sinned against God and they went into exile. The city was burned down and the wall of Jerusalem was destroyed. The wall of Jerusalem was the pride of Israel for it was the impregnable defense around Jerusalem that protected it from the onslaught of the enemy. Jerusalem was in ruins for many years after its walls were broken down. Many believers are defenseless and in ruins today because, spiritually speaking, their walls have been broken. When walls are torn down, wild beasts and dangerous animals get in and wretch a city or a life; as expressed in the Bible, . . . and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him: Eccl 10:8. When a city or a life sins against God, its walls get torn down.
A man by the name of Nehemiah decided that he was going to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. It is time for you to rebuild the walls around your life. There are lessons that we can learn when we consider the life of Nehemiah and how he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. The first lesson is that Nehemiah was in captivity when he decided that he wanted to rebuild Jerusalem and restore the glory of Israel. He was a slave in another kingdom but he didn't consider that as a hindrance as he went ahead to conceive the thought of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. I want you not to allow your background and present status to limit your dreams and goals in life. No matter how down you have sank, don't allow your present status to dictate your renewed aspiration.

Nehemiah needed so much resource to execute the project that he conceived but as a slave in the king's palace, he didn't have the money but he still went ahead despite that. You have to make up your mind that the size of your salary and income will not determine your dreams and expenditure but rather the size of your God is what will determine what you will dare to do. When you make that decision, everything will change for you. Nehemiah thought to himself that even though he was a slave in another kingdom and he didn't have all that was needed to build the walls of Jerusalem, he would still go ahead and achieve it; so he started to pray. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven: Neh 1:4.

He began to cry and weep then he went into fasting. His prayers were so heartfelt that the Bible documented them. His prayers of repentance and supplication was considered fit for scriptures. Your genuine repentance, heartfelt prayer and crying to God is the beginning of your rebuilding the walls of your life. Today you have to rebuild all walls that have been torn down around your life. Start by first identifying areas that need rebuilding, then map out your personal steps for the take off. Then begin to pray and believe. I command your walls to be rebuilt, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Pray that your wall of defense shall not be broken through by the enemy.
* Ask God to cleanse you of any sin that could pull down your wall of defence, in the name of Jesus.
* Ask God for courage and wisdom to confront every weak wall of your defence in life in Jesus’name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
My head shall not lack oil, I shall be anointed like the horn of the unicorn and I shall be clothed in glory throughout my life time, in the name of Jesus.

Stop that Satanic Planting II

Thursday 24 September
READ: Psa.125:1-5
MORE LESSON: Josh.1:6-9

Yesterday we learnt how to prevent the enemy from ever planting in our lives. The last point is have faith in God; have faith in God that the enemy will not plant a seed in your destiny. Don't go out in the morning until you are sure that you have confidence that God will take you through the day. If you wake up in the morning and you feel like you wake up on the wrong side and say, Today will be bad, things will be tough, then it will be a bad day, you won't survive it. In fact, the devil will not have to shoot you with a gun, he will just say Hey!. . . and you are on the ground.

But when you wake up each day, say, Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation Psa. 68:19. Say, it is written that in all things I am more than a conqueror through him who loved me (Rom. 8: 37). I have overcome them because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world that I am going into today (1 John 4:4). God said He has a thought concerning me this morning, the thought of good and not of evil, to give me a hope and a future (Jer. 29:11). So as I step out today, I can see a hope waiting for me for His anger endures but a moment; in His favour is life. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning (Psa. 30: 5).

Weeping will not go out with me this morning. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want (Psalm23: 1). Today, only the Shepherd goes out with me, the enemy will not go out with me. It is written, I shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever [I do]shall prosper: Psa.1:3. Whatever I lay my hands on to do this morning shall prosper. I'm going out with the expectation to prosper. I can see prosperity waiting for me. I can see doors open to me.

Have faith in God, start your day with confidence in the God that cannot fail, the One who keeps promises. Lift up your right hand above your head and say, Father, in the name of Jesus, every tree that You have not planted, I hereby uproot. I have faith, I believe in You. Poverty, sickness, affliction and nightmare are uprooted, in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

Prayer/Action
* Thank God for the power to uproot everything that the enemy has planted.
* Lift your hands and declare the root of affliction broken over your life.
* Tell Satan you and your entire household are a no parking zone.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In 2015, my seed shall not be cut off; they shall bear fruits and yield abundantly, in the name of Jesus.

Stop that Satanic Planting I

Wednesday 23 September
READ: I Tim.1:18-20
MORE LESSON: Matt.13:24-30

There are a few ways by which you can fight to prevent the enemy from planting in your life.
First, you need to know that you have to live a permanent life of knowledge of what is yours. Beloved, keep remembering what is yours. First among your possessions is Jesus; Jesus is yours and you are His, you have handed your life over to Him. The Holy Spirit, the power that rules the universe is yours. God's promises from Genesis to Revelation are yours. If you don't know what is yours, you won't be able to fight for it. The Bible says we are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus far and above principalities and powers (Eph 1:21) .

Second, now that you know what you have, put it to work. The name of Jesus is yours, put it to work. The power of the Holy Ghost is yours, put it to work. The power of productivity is yours, put it to work. Don't ever watch the enemy's plant grow on your territory. Do what you can, even if your cutlass is blunt, resharpen it and keep on hitting it, one day, that tree will collapse.

Third, don't ever in your life believe there is something impossible. Don't tell anybody anything is impossible. The word impossible is a lie. Don't believe the devil's lie that there is something around your life and destiny that is impossible. Jesus says, ...Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up: Matt.15:13. He doesn't say some trees. When you say that some things are impossible what you are saying is that some trees cannot be uprooted. At the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow. What is meant for you will not go to another, in Jesus’s name. Don't fold your hands while your destiny goes twisted. Fast, pray, put your destiny in God's hand. Be regular in church, create time for destiny because what you don't create time for in God, you will lose to the devil.

Fourth, fight for your inheritance. Never cease to fight. Use every breath inside you to say no to the devil and his lies. Every breath includes your fasting time, your prayer time, personal vigils for yourself. Jude1:3 says, ...earnestly contend for the faith.... When your pastor declares fasting and prayer in church, it is about you, not about the pastor. If you don't go for fasting and prayer meeting you are the loser, not the pastor. Earnestly contend for what is yours. Start now!

Prayer/Action
.* Identify the strange things that are co-habiting your destiny and command them to be uprooted now.
* Say no to everything called impossibility in your life.
* Destroy everything in you that could make you a fertile land for evil.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
This month, I shall build and inhabit, plant and harvest, and none of my reward will go to another, in the name of Jesus.

Weapons of Our Warfare II

Tuesday 22 September
READ: Heb.12:22-26
MORE LESSON: Exo. 12:12-13

One of the weapons of spiritual warfare is the blood of Jesus. Blood is very vital to man because the life of a man is in his blood. It is the same also in the spiritual. The blood of Jesus was God's final straw to break the devil's back and rescue mankind from the power of hell and eternal destruction.

A closer look at the use of blood by God reveals that it has always been a strong weapon in His hand from the beginning of man's travails in the devil's hand. At the fall of man in Gen.3:21 we see how for the first time the Lord God used blood as a tool and as a weapon, Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coat of skins, and clothed them. The skin was used to cover man's nakedness but the blood that was shed prophetically pointed to the final work of grace, which was to come through the shedding of the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God.

Also, in Gen. 4:3-10, the Bible records the first murder on earth, that of Abel by Cain. Verse 10 shows the strength of blood, And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. Abel was dead but his blood was still alive, active and working. It was functioning so well that it got the attention of the Almighty God who had to do something about it. That shows how strong the power of the blood of man is; it has mouth and it can speak until it gets attention. The Bible also refers to the blood of Jesus in like manner; it says, it speaks better things than the blood of Abel. So the blood of Jesus can speak, heal, deliver, save, restore and cleanse from sin. It will open Heaven, shut the gates of hell and get satan screaming for cover.

The blood of Jesus is one of God's strongest weapons that defeated the devil to his permanent grave. It is available for all of God’s children who recognise the provision and appropriate it rightly. Plead this blood upon your day, home and destiny daily. Apply it to all yours as a guard against any satanic confrontation. Receive God’s mercy and cleansing by it and by it gain access to the throne of the Father. The blood of Jesus will not fail in anything, hold tightly to it for all-round success.

Prayer/Action
* Command that the blood of Jesus speak better things into your destiny today.
* Plead that the blood of pass over will stand against every device of the devil over your life and family this year.
* Tell satan, “The blood of Jesus is against you over my life, in Jesus’ name”.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Before this year runs out, I shall see my harvest, in the name of Jesus.

Weapons of Our Warfare I

Monday 21 September
READ: II Cor. 10:1-6
MORE LESSON: Eph.6:12

Our text today is about the weapons of our warfare. It says that they are not carnal, meaning they are not physical things that the physical eyes can see. However, they are mighty through God to pull down any stronghold - a fortified place or a fortress, safe for the owner and difficult to attack. It is a place where a man feels secure in the time of the enemy's attack. During warfare, once soldiers are able to get to their stronghold, either on the mountain or thick bush, it becomes very difficult to dislodge them.

Our text says the enemy has a stronghold where he hides and from there launches attacks at his victims; and not until an enemy's stronghold is destroyed he cannot be defeated. However, it is exciting to know that our weapons can destroy any enemy's stronghold. This is the location of the strength of Christians. This is why we can boldly speak of victory over any trouble of life. Yet this victory is for only the children of God who know the key and use it.

The most important thing to note about these weapons is that they are spiritual; they are not physical or material, they are not loud or noisy, but the impacts are great, greater than any ballistic missile or atomic bomb. They are fast and irresistible. Nothing can counter them and they are forever impossible for the enemy.

Another important thing about these weapons is the fact that they work only through God. Jehovah God is the only gun through which these bullets can be fired. They will not work for a carnal man or sinner, only spiritual people can enjoy them. So, if you are in the flesh, fornicating, lying, stealing, fighting, gossiping, you can't benefit from these weapons. Receive Christ as your Saviour and these weapons will be yours to use .
Finally, these weapons need to be activated to work. Just as a machine gun cannot work except by human involvement, spiritual weapons also will need the acts of righteousness, prayer, fasting and faith in God to work effectively.

Prayer/Action
* Declare that there shall be no hiding place for the enemies of your life.
* Decree that every stronghold giving cover and strength to your enemy be destroyed by fire today.
* Ask that as you use the weapons of God you will not miss the enemy’s stronghold, in the mighty name of Jesus.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Every satanic landmine set to truncate my destiny before my time, be it sin or satanic wickedness, I declare you cleared by fire, in the name of Jesus.

Keep your Focus

Sunday 20 September
READ: James 1: 8
MORE LESSON: Matt. 6:22-24

When I was studying in the university we were taught that Nigeria is a non-aligned nation. Non-aligned means it is neither patterned after the West or the East. A non-aligned system is trying to be neither a socialist nor a capitalist system; it wants to be in-between. It was also said that our economy constitution is that of a mixed economy; we are neither ope
rating communism nor capitalism. The class lecturer jokingly said that kind of economy is called a confused economy because there is a goal that communism is set to achieve and another that capitalism is set to achieve so when you mix them, you lose focus. There will always be a confusion that arises from a concoction of two different systems. This lesson, to an extent, has a footing in reality.

The Bible says, a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways: James 1:8 KJV. In life, it is always important that you know your direction and go all for it. A man trying to do everything will succeed in doing nothing. A man trying to be like everybody will have an identity crisis. When a believer without focus hears that there is a powerful man of God, who preaches like Charles Finney of old, and everybody falls down and begins to cry, he runs to go and sit with the man. Then he hears that another apostle has arrived that is as anointed as Paul the Apostle, he immediately leaves the Charles-Finney-preacher and moves to the Paul-the Apostle-preacher. That is how he continues moving around trying to be, dress and talk like everybody. People without vision are not focused so they are easily distracted.

Having a defined focus is very important in fulfilling God's plan for your life. You must find out what God's plan for you is and unwaveringly begin to work towards it. There is great danger in instability and swinging to and fro in life. The danger of instability is failure. A bit here, a bit there without a defined destination destroys a man's destiny.

When a man loses focus, he cannot excel, because he is unstable. Sit down and hear what God wants you to do and learn where God wants you to learn. Know what you are doing, plan for your life and work towards achieving success along that plan. Don't start ministry experimenting everything to see which ministry will work. Be sure what you are called to do, focus on it and whatever happens, be determined to stay with it, keep learning, keep your focus and move on the path that leads you to success.

Prayer/Action
* Pray for a life that is consistently focussed.
* Tell the devil you refuse to be distracted ever.
* Pray that you will be unstoppable in life.
* Declare that you shall not be like a ship, tossed to and fro in destiny.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I reject every evil garment and every evil label over my life and destiny today, in the name of Jesus.

The Wealthy Place

Saturday 19 September
READ: Psa. 66: 12
MORE LESSON: Psa. 23:1 - 6

The text for today says Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. Beloved, there is a place called the wealthy place. It is a place of comfort where the problems and the afflictions of men are settled. Some things you struggle with in life naturally disappear when you get to the wealthy place. In Gen 13: 2, we see that God took Abraham to the wealthy place: Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. Gen 13:2 (NIV). So, part of the covenant of Abraham is the covenant of the wealthy place. As a child of God, you are entitled to the wealthy place.

Psalm 23 says The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul . . . Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.... This scripture is talking about the wealthy place. It is a place where lack doesn't exist. In a search for the wealthy place, people relocate, travel and do a lot of things. Many travel to America, Europe or Asia looking for opportunities for wealth, but I hereby announce to you that the wealthy place is not in a nation, it is in God. Whatever your geographical location, you can live in the wealthy place. You live in the wealthy place when the LORD is your Shepherd. You don't need to run around looking for 'greener pastures', because He makes you lie down in green pastures right where you are.

In the text of today, the people had been overrun, despised and reproached but God didn't allow them to end in slavery. They were afflicted through the fire and flood but at last, God brought them to the wealthy place. This shall be your testimony. No matter what you are going through, God has prepared a wealthy place for you. It is a land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarcity, ... a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee: Deut 8:9-10. God will take you to your wealthy place today in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God, by His mercies, to take you to the wealthy place.
* Pray that this year, tables of abundance will be prepared before you.
* Ask God to take you out of struggles and endless labour.
* Pray that you will never loose contact with the Lord of increase.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, take away every BUT from my life and my family this day, in the name of Jesus.

Silencing the Accusers

Friday 18 September
READ: John 8: 3 - 11
MORE LESSON: Rom 8: 33 - 34

A woman was caught in the act of adultery. The religious people were ready to stone her to death, but before they could do so, they brought her to Jesus. The Bible makes it clear that they brought her because they wanted to tempt Jesus to see how he would handle the case. Her accusers felt there was no way she would escape the condemnation of death. Jesus, the Merciful God, is not interested in the destruction of sinners but in their salvation. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved: Jn. 3:17. However, for this woman to be saved, her accusers had to be silenced. Jesus didn't argue with these sin-hunters whether the woman was guilty or not, He only told them; He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her: Jn. 8:7.

The sinless man should cast the first stone and the others could cast the remaining stones till she died. No man can condemn another man because no man has any righteousness of his own self. (Rom 3: 10). The best of men are just sinners saved by grace. So when Jesus laid down never having sinned as the qualification for condemning another person, all the accusers were convicted in their hearts and they left. But the woman still remained after all her accusers left because there was one person who was without sin and so was qualified to cast that first stone that would open the door for her to be condemned to death. Jesus is the only Sinless One who is qualified to condemn. It is humbling to note that men that are not qualified to condemn are always eager to while the Holy One who is qualified said, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more: Jn 8:11.

No matter how grievous your sins are I want to announce to you that the only One who is qualified to condemn you has refused to. Jesus has justified you so neither men, angels, demons or devil is qualified to condemn you. By refusing to condemn you, Jesus silenced all your accusers. There is however only one more person that can condemn you – that is yourself. You condemn yourself when you refuse the gift of justification that Jesus has given you. You sign your own condemnation when you refuse to heed the instruction of the Master which says, go and sin no more. (Verse 9).
Today there is no condemnation for you if you will accept Christ Jesus and embrace the law of the Spirit of life so that you can be delivered from the law of sin and death.

As you dedicate yourself to Christ today I decree that every accusation written against you is blotted out by the blood of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer/Action
* Pray against every sin that stands against you before the throne of God.
* Rebuke every force of the accuser over your destiny.
* Pray that like Jesus, the prince of this world will find nothing against you.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
The spirit of purity, fall on me today and keep me out of sin forever, in the name of Jesus.

How to be Grateful

Thursday 17 September
READ: Psa. 136:1-26
MORE LESSON: Psa. 103: 1-2

There is no one that God has not blessed, there are only people that think He has not blessed them enough. If you think that there are some things you have not got and so it is difficult for you to give thanks, then let me remind you that the air you breath is a gift from God. If you were ever to pay for the air you breath, you will realize how much you owe God. I pray that you and your loved ones will never be on oxygen support before you learn how to thank God for life and for free breathe. There is a man I know who has been sick for a total of forty eight years. He has only one prayer request, to be healed. It is because God is good to you that you have numerous prayer requests for which you count delayed answers as a reason to be ungrateful to God. If not for God's mercy, something could have happened that will reduce all your long list of prayer requests to only one. As you cry day and night for relief from the overwhelming problem that has apprehended you, without caring about all the other delays that you are complaining now. I pray that will not be your portion in Jesus’ name.

The point is that you have a reason to be grateful to God no matter your present state. The text today suggests that there is a tendency to forget the goodness of God. You should do the following so that you will not forget God's goodness.
1. Constantly give testimonies of God's goodness to you. A testimony is a tool for duplication of miracles. When you tell of what God did yesterday, He will do more tomorrow.

2. Write down the things God has done for you. If you don't want to forget what God has done, write them down. Many people have books where they write what they want God to do for them but no book to write what He has done.
3. Create a memorial of what God has done. You can immortalise what God has done for you by doing something that each time you and others see it, there will be a remembrance that God did something for you.

4. Make a sacrifice to God that you will always feel. When God gave Samuel to Hannah, she brought him back to God- that is a sacrifice. God paid her back with other wonderful children. A sacrifice is not just a gift; it is something you feel the pain of giving, when you give something that 'creates a scar' on your bank account, time, energy or property, then you are making a sacrifice.

Prayer/Action
* Sing a song of praise.
* Shout Hallelujah thrice.
* Tell someone today one great thing God has done in 2015 for you.
* Tell Jesus thank you forever.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Today, I cut off every besetting sin and all other forms of unrighteousness from my destiny, in the name of Jesus.

Don't Give Up on God IV

Wednesday 16 September
READ: Psa. 30:1-12
MORE LESSON: Jer.31:31-34

In our Christian race, there are several instances that by our behaviour, we make God really angry. Sometimes it is so bad you almost conclude that God can never listen to you again. Whenever you feel God is so angry with you for your misbehaviour, remember David's testimony in Psa. 30:5, For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life…, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. I want you to know that if you don't give up, joy will be the end of your pain. In this scripture the Bible says God's anger does not endure forever.

So, even if your affliction or pain came as a result of your sin and God is not happy with you, know this that His anger does not endure forever! So your pain cannot endure forever if you can choose to endure. Anytime the people of God choose to endure pain, the pain doesn't last. I am so excited about verse 5 of our first passage, For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night.... No matter the depth of your weeping, I am excited to tell you that it will endure for a night. It simply means that even your pain is tired and is only enduring. The pain is not even sure of continuing, the Bible says “it may”. So, it is not even all the time that pain has enough strength to stay on. The more strength you attain in the place of faith by refusing to give up, the weaker the satanic forces become in pursuing you. The moment you embrace this truth, in the days of your weakness, God will strengthen you to keep going.

There is this proverb in my place that if a masquerade is pursuing you, don't stop running. Don't even get tired or give up for whatever reason because the way you run and get tired is the way the masquerade gets tired because he is human. It doesn't matter the intensity and the strength of your affliction, you can win over it. The Bible says it cannot stay forever. Be encouraged never to give up on God because your pain cannot be forever. The Bible says that weeping, which is the consequence of pain and the manifestation of sorrow, may endure only for a night. I want you to accept that all the time you have been under one pain or trouble or affliction is just for a night. Arise in celebration because joy comes in the morning. I see joy coming; I see a new day coming for you. I see a new morning coming your way. If that morning must meet you then you must stay connected to God.

Prayer/Action
* Thank God that no matter the pain, your joy must come in the morning.
* Ask for God's grace to stay connected to Him in your period of pain.
*Pray to focus on the joy that comes in the morning than the pain that endures for a night.
* Decide never to give up on God over that pain till it expires.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In the name of Jesus, every day in September is a NEW day and no old story of pain shall be heard in it, Hallelujah!

Don't Give Up on God IIl

Tuesday 15 September
READ: Lk.18:1-8
MORE LESSON: Gen. 32:24-26

Prayer is a solid communion with God through which we give adoration, confession of sin, thanksgiving and supplication. When we put requests before God, it is a wonderful thing to tarry and never give up until we get the answers from Him. We are looking at the example of the woman who tarried in the place of prayer and eventually got an answer.

In our first passage Jesus Himself was teaching about a parable that encourages us to keep praying, And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint: v 1. Jesus knew that situations will come our way that will discourage us, that will give us an impression that God is not answering or will never answer us. Jesus knew that there could be hindrances to prayer that could make us feel as if we are not getting what we are looking for, so we look for another way to get what we want. Jesus is mindful of our weaknesses and that is why He teaches us never to give up.

Paradventure you are discouraged and downcast about a matter primarily because you have worked at it several times but it didn't work, don't give up. If you did not see the physical manifestation of your answered prayer while you are praying, is it when you stop praying that you expect the answer? It could be that you have tried praying about it, given all that you know to give, cried, fasted and the answer still didn't come. That's not strange to Heaven, thus Jesus said, …men ought always to pray and not to faint: v1, which means it is known to Heaven that men can faint. So when it happens to you it is not a reason why Heaven will not answer you, you only need to stay on. Refuse to faint, it is possible to be discouraged but you must rise beyond the discouragement.

I trust God will avenge for you today. He will rise up and speak on your behalf. He will answer for you where you cannot enter. The Bible says that this woman came begging the judge, pleading, avenge me of my enemy…and he would not for a while: vs 3-4, which means your setbacks are for a while, they won't last forever. Barrenness, lack of job and failure are for a while and none will ever be forever. Refuse to heed the silent or loud voice of Satan that your matter before God is closed or that God will not answer you. Don't give up on God. He will do it.

Prayer/Action
* Pray for more strength to tarry in the place of prayer.
* Ask God to avenge you of your enemies.
* Promise God that you will never give up until He answers you.
* More than ever before, begin to see the challenges of life as temporary.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
I shall daze my enemies this month, and all they that oppose my greatness shall serve me, in the name of Jesus.

Don't Give Up on God II

Monday 14 September
READ: Mk.2:3-4
MORE LESSON: Matt.7:7-11

Man is naturally selfish and therefore thinks more about what will bring him comfort before considering others. In this passage, people brought a paralysed man to a service, it took four men to help the paralysed man to come to where Jesus was. When they were coming, people saw the sick man they brought but could not give them space to go in and see Jesus.

All the people gathered there were just concerned about themselves that none of them thought about allowing the man to go in. That they could stand, unlike the paralysed man on the bed, was enough reason to have compassion on him. Unfortunately, compassion is not part of the human nature; that is why a witch has no respect for your condition before she strikes you. She doesn't care how much your parents laboured to keep you in school but she waits till you have graduated and then she begins to feel that you shouldn't have graduated when her own child has not even gone to the university, so she plans to strike you down.

The natural man is never compassionate to another man who is in a more desperate position. It is only in God that there is mercy and compassion. Man naturally will not give you help; if they help you at all, they are waiting at the other side to remind you how they helped the other time and there must be a return for what help they rendered to you. The people didn't give this man space but the people who brought the man didn't give up, I guess the man himself didn't give up. If you don't give up on God, no matter what wickedness you have seen men do to you, no matter the pain you have been through, no matter what is paralysed about you, God will visit you and end that pain.

The paralysed man was brought to Jesus for solution and when he came, he saw solution in front of him, few meters away but he couldn't enter. Men disallowed him, men hindered him but they didn’t give up. I want to let you know also that no matter how many things have hindered you in life, if you can stay focused on God, there will be a way out.

When the friends of the paralysed man could not find a way, rather than return home defeated in anger, they devised another means to get to Jesus. May the Holy Spirit show you the way to reach Jesus by divine speed and get your long awaited attention from God.

Prayer/Action
* Pray that in times that you are incapacitated, God will raise helpers for you.
* Ask God for added grace not to give up until your miracle manifests to the physical.
* Pray against any man-made barrier standing between you and God.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
My fruitfulness must happen this month, in the name of Jesus.

Don't Give Up on God I

Sunday 13 September
READ: Mk. 2:1-3
MORE LESSON: Psa. 107:20

Wherever Jesus went, the crowd gathered because He is the answer to life's situations and circumstances, He pulled the crowd everywhere He went while on the earth. The same thing is still happening today. The same Jesus, the same name of Jesus, the same miracle working power of God is still at work today and I'm glad to announce Him to your destiny, your neighbourhood and to you where you are today that the great miracle working God is still alive, doing as He used to do when He was physically around on earth.

And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them: v2. The crowd gathered for miracles but Jesus brought the Word. I found that God's Word and God's power go hand in hand; wherever God's Word is available, there will be signs and wonders. Sometimes I wonder when I see people do miracles that are not rooted in God's Word.

I believe in God's Word bringing forth miracles as it was in the days of Jesus' physical presence on earth. Of course, the people gathered for the miracles, they didn't gather for the Word; but when He came, He gave them the Word. This is simply because the Word works the wonders and sustains the miracles. I want to encourage you to keep to God's Word. Find the Bible, read and do whatever it says. That is the secret of more miracles and of sustaining whatever miracles God will do in your life because I believe God for something special in your life. I believe God for an impact. I believe God that even as you read this now, the Word of God will bring certain results in your life. Psalm 107:20 says, He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. I believe that the Word will do something in you as you read with faith in the God that I serve.

It is natural for any person suffering from any form of affliction to rush first for a miracle that will solve the problem than going for the Word. However, for any miracle to be sustained, you must not only hunger for the miracle but hunger more for the Word. Healing or deliverance comes principally by the spoken Word of God with faith and sustaining such miracles is by keeping the Word.

Prayer/Action
* Re-dedicate yourself to the study of God's Word more than ever.
* Pray that God will work miracles in your life that will shock the world.
* Promise God that on no account will you sideline His Word in your relationship with Him.
* Make up your mind that you will not give up until that matter is settled by God.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
September 2015 hear the Word of the Lord: you are created to work for my good and so shall it be,in the name of Jesus.

Heaven is made for You

Saturday 12 September
READ: Rev. 21: 1-8
MORE LESSON: Rev. 22: 14-15

Heaven is the dwelling place of God where Jesus Christ and all holy people who die will live forever. Heaven is the place of everlasting bliss where angels and men will live together eternally. When John the Beloved was thrown into the Island of Patmos, God showed him Heaven. And said, And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads: Rev:22 :
4.

One of the greatest things in heaven is that man will see God face to face. We shall see angels; we shall see the light that God Himself is, as well as the sun and the moon we were used to while on earth.

Moreover, heaven is not for all people. Some people will have to spend their eternity in the lake of fire where Satan, demons and everyone who rejected the offer of pardon will be forever. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Rev. 21:8.

The choice is yours to live where there will be no: -
(i) death: Lk. 20: 36 ,
(ii) sorrow: Rev.7: 17,
(iii) pain: Rev.21:4,
(iv) curse: Rev. 22:3,
(v) no night : Rev. 22:5,
(vi) wicked people: Rev.22:15,
(vii) no marriage: Matt 22:30.
But where there will be: -
(I) joy : Lk. 15: 7-10,
(ii) rest: Rev.14:13,
(iii) peace: Lk. 16: 25,
(iv) righteousness: 2Pet.3:13,
(v) reward: Matt.5:11-12,
(vi) glory: Rom.8:17,18.

What a wonderful place! But to get there, you have some responsibilities while here on earth. You must believe Jesus with all your heart, love God and serve Him with all you are and have. You must repent of all your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour; walk before God in truth with all your heart and soul. Also, you must do His will from your heart everyday, then you will begin to enjoy heaven from the earth. A big welcome will surely be awaiting you when all of life is over. You will walk on the streets of gold in company of holy angels and with joy unspeakable throughout eternity. God will take you there! Are you desirous of heaven? You must to get there!

Prayer/Action
* Father, let me always remember that heaven and not this earth is my home; I will make it there, in Jesus’ name.
* Lord Jesus, I register for heaven today; please forgive my sins and make me heaven worthy.
* I confess and renounce every sin that will not allow me to make heaven, in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
There is a lifting for me this month, in the name of Jesus.

The Mouth or the Tongue

Friday 11 September
READ: Prov.12:13-25
MORE LESSON: Matt. 15: 11

The most important organ in the mouth is the tongue; Although it is one of the smallest organs in the body, it affects it more than any other. The Bible describes it thus: Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison: James 3:5,6,8. When the tongue is not regenerated, it is uncontrollable. It is only the tongue of a man who has experienced the second birth or spiritual birth that is controllable. It is a very important organ for worshipping and blessing God. A tongue devoted to God can accomplish much.

You have probably heard someone said: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me”. This is not true because while sticks and stones can bring instant injury and pain, words can produce even worse and longer – lasting hurt. Words can go much deeper and cause pain that lasts a life time. Such words as, “I don't love you. You are a failure. You are bad. I hate you”, can affect good relationships in a negative way and do permanent damage. Some people have been so deeply wounded that they are unable to accept words such as “I love you. You are special. I appreciate you”.

Our text today from the book of Proverbs, urges us to watch our words because an unregenerated tongue is the source of lying, cursing, evil, pride, unfaithfulness, vanity and foolishness (Psa, 63: 11; Psa. 10:7; Psa. 50:19; Psa. 5:9). All these can bring a man into great danger on earth and take them to the lake of fire in eternity. The psalmist in Psa. 34:12-13 said, What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Longevity, good years, and full ripe age all come from the use of the tongue and not just our diet. The best diet for a good life is taming the tongue, which is only possible by yielding it to God in prayer like the psalmist did. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer: Psa. 19:14. Words can't break bones, but they can break hearts. Watch what you say.

Prayer/Action
* Today, I yield my tongue totally to the control of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.
* Father, help me to use my tongue profitably and properly, in Jesus’ name.
* I apply the blood of Jesus to my heart and tongue today, in Jesus’ name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In the name of Jesus, I decree that Satan and his agents shall have no memorial in my new month; it is the Lord’s month.

Strange Fire

Thursday 10 September
READ: Lev 10: 1-2 ; Lev 9: 23-24
MORE LESSON: 1 Sam 15: 1-24

The words ‘strange fire’ were mentioned in the Bible in connection with the fatal sin committed by the two oldest sons of Aaron (Nadab and Abihu) on the occasion of the formal consecration of the Aaronic priesthood. The sacred fire, once kindled on the altar, was never permitted to go out but this was interrupted by Nadab and Abihu. The fire on the altar was a symbol of holiness and they sought to overlay it with unholiness. Thus, it became a consuming fire because they approached the Holy Spirit with a profane spirit.

When you engage in rebellion you are kindling a strange fire. Rebellion is refusal to come under authority of someone who is above you. When you disobey authority you are rebelling against God. God hates rebellion and said in 1 Sam 15: 23 that it is like a sin of witchcraft. Rebellion grieves the Holy Spirit, causes Him to become your enemy and to fight against you. (Isa. 63: 10). Nadab and Abihu died prematurely before the Lord; they kindled a fire of disobedience and it burnt them. They were cut off childless, which for true Israelites was the darkest fate imaginable (Num 3: 4).

If you rebel against the Word of God and shun His counsel, you may sit in darkness and in the shadow of death (Psa. 107: 10-11). The Bible says, “the rebellious dwell in a dry land” Psa. 68: 6). Many people rebelled in the Bible and paid great prices for doing so. The case in Number 20: 12-14 is an example. Moses and Aaron rebelled and were not allowed to enter the promised land.

- Saul was removed as king and instead of the Holy Spirit, evil spirits took over his life; his destiny was terminated.
- Lucifer was cast out of heaven and became devil because of rebellion.
- Ananias and Sapphira were destroyed on the same day because of rebellion.

Anybody who is practising sin, unrepentantly and rebelling against God cannot see God. If you have truly given your life to Christ, the worst thing that can happen to you is to allow sin to destroy your fellowship with God (Isa.59:2, Prov. 15:29, Psa. 32 ).You can spend a whole life time building up your life and then destroy it with one act of rebellion. How terrible!!!

Disobedience shows lack of love for the Lord; we obey God because we love and want to please Him. We also show our gratitude to Jesus for giving His life for us when we obey him. There is no limit to how far you can go if you stop rebelling against God and set authority. This is possible because the power of the Holy Spirit will walk with you and in you. Imagine how powerful your anointing will be and how many souls you will win! There are many blessings awaiting you if you will just stand strong and obey. Don't miss out of God's plan for your life. Make it to the 'promised land' where abundant life awaits you. You will make it, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Check your life and repent of every strange fire you have kindled, then ask God for mercy.
* I break the power of rebellion over my life and destiny from now, in Jesus’ name.
* I shall not be a causality in the race of life, in Jesus’ name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
This month, I banish the forces of sorrow and condolence visit in my life and territory, in the name of Jesus.

Willing to Contribute

Wednesday 9 September
READ: I Tim. 6:17-19
MORE LESSON: Acts 2:42-47

One day, Jesus was faced with the challenge of feeding a multitude of hungry people. He had to borrow a young boy's lunch pack of five loaves of bread and two fishes. That pack was nothing compared to the number of people to be fed. Humanly speaking, it was an impossible situation that He was faced with. In His divine wisdom, Jesus divided the people into groups. He took the five loaves and fishes, blessed and broke them, after which He commanded the disciples to distribute among the people. Surprisingly, everybody ate and there were leftovers (Jn. 6:5-13). The young boy's release of the only thing he had for the sake of others is commendable. Not everybody finds it easy to give in order to benefit others because naturally, giving is not easy for man. Selfishness is the nature of man and it takes a conscious effort for one to be delivered from this vice.

I commend Jesus' disciples who distributed their limited resources to be heroes. How many people today will be willing to distribute scarce resources for the good of all? You may even think this problem is limited to politicians but many brethren are also greedy. For example, at ceremonies, some people grab more than one plate of food, gifts etc when others have not got any. The disciples were able to overcome greed that was why they did not share the food among themselves, which would have hindered the miracle of the feeding of five thousand.
The question is, how much can you give to other people? Mike Murdock once said: Giving is the only proof that you have overcome greed. Let's give to people in need; if your resources are scarce, in your willingness to distribute to those in need lies the miracle of multiplication. Today's text is very instructive on
this matter, Charge them that are very rich:

1. that they be not high-minded , v17,
2. not to trust in uncertain riches, v17,
3. but to trust in the living God, v17,
4. that they do good, v18,
5. that they be rich in good works,
6. that they be ready to distribute,
7. willing to communicate.

The Message translation says, ...Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they'll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life ITim. 6:17-19 (MSG). Remember, it is what you share that can never finish!

Prayer/Action
* Ask God to grant you a giving heart and make you a blessing from today.
* Pray that God will give Nigeria leaders that are not selfish.
* Ask God to make you a Kingdom financier and help you not to withhold anything from God.
* Plan to meet a need this week, either of a neighbour or a church.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
In September, I shall not sing the song of my enemy, I shall not dance to the music of my opponent, God will answer me speedily.

Your Level Must Change

Tuesday 8 September
READ: Gen 41: 38 – 44
MORE LESSON: Psa. 105: 17 - 22

Joseph had the promise of God for his life that he would be a ruler but he found himself in prison as a slave. He had waited for years for the fulfilment of the promise of God for his life and it looked as if it delayed, but when God decided to change his level, it happened in a matter of minutes. Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon, and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh: Gen 41: 14. The Bible says they brought him out hastily; he went to bed one night as a prisoner and woke up the next day as a prime minister. What a change of level! All the people that were above him became his subjects within a day.

Today, as you read this Word from God, I pray that God will transform you and change your status so speedily and miraculously that people will not recognise you anymore by the reason of the excellence of your new status. That was the testimony of Joseph, . . . who was sold for a servant: whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom: Psa. 105: 17-22. From slavery he was transformed to a ruler of the people, the lord of a whole nation who commanded princes and instructed senators in the parliament. His level simply changed.

There is no level that a man has reached that there is no room for a greater change. One of the principles that rule the world is the principle of constant change. In fact, the only constant thing in life is change. However, there are positive change and negative change: every downward trend is a negative change, including demotion, reduction, loss, drop and everything associated with them. On the other hand, all types of increase, advancement and height are positive. When Joseph was located by the Word of God (Ps 105: 19) and distinguished by the Spirit of God (Gen 41: 38), his level changed from prisoner to prime minister and he stayed there throughout his life as his tenure never expired. When God changes your level it is always positive and permanent. God is changing your status today, in Jesus’ name. Faith in God’s Word, righteousness, service in God’s kingdom, a life of giving to God and His work are all essential keys for all people who desire divine positive change in destiny.

Prayer/Action
* Command every barricade against your advancement and promotion broken now by the power of God.
* Ask God to add speed to His promises for your life and make them a reality today, in the name of Jesus.
* Say, “Lord, change my status today, permanently”.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Heavens shall arise to favour, bless and help me this new month more than ever, in the name of Jesus.

The Benefits of Seeking God

Monday 7 September
READ: 2 Chr. 26: 3-6
MORE LESSON: Matt. 11:30-33

The Bible shows us the story of Uzziah who became King at the age of 16 years. It leaves me wandering how a boy of 16 years could be appointed as king, but this boy went on to be a very successful king. The secret of his success is revealed in 2 Chron. 26: 5; . . . as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper. He was a man who sought the Lord. It was obvious that he loved God because the Bible says that he did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, following the footsteps of his father. (Verse 4)

It pays to seek God with your money, time, property, resources and talents. The condition for prosperity in the Bible is serving God. It simply means that any man who serves God has the opportunity to be prosperous. Look at the world and the church today and you will discover that the order has been turned around. When you ask a brother why he was not in church, he would say that he was in his shop. He defends it by saying that he needs to work to get tithe to pay in church. But God is interested in you, not your tithe. First, you don't need to go find prosperity first and then come serve God with it. That is not a safe course of action because it may be that by the time you become prosperous, you would have also become a candidate for hell. 2 Chron. 26: 5 says 'as long . . .', meaning that as long as you keep serving God, your prosperity is guaranteed.

Uzziah sought God and had earthly success and wealth. If you spend your time with God there is a guarantee that you will walk in abundance but if you pursue wealth there is no assurance that you will make heaven. You don't need to pursue all you want to be first and then you will create time for God after you have achieved. No, serve God and He will bless you with all you are looking for. Give up your pursuit of wealth without God, it will land you where you do not expect. Some of you want to succeed first before going to church. I can tell you, you will return empty-handed. Some ladies want to marry unbelievers because of their wealth, thinking they will get them saved after their marriage. It is still the same mindset of getting success first and then God later. It is deadly. Why not marry a child of God and become wealthy together as you seek God. Choose to seek God today and you will see Him bless you.

Prayer/Action
* Ask God for help to walk the pathway of righteousness to prosperity.
* Tell the Lord you will serve him as a priority and you will prosper abundantly.
* Ask that the promised blessing on those who serve God will not elude you in the name of Jesus.

It is by Grace

Sunday 6 September
READ: Rom 11: 5 – 6
MORE LESSON: Rom 9: 15 – 16

A highly respected servant of God once told us that, if God were to make a choice based on qualification, it shouldn't have been me. All of us that heard him were stunned, because we actually saw him as a person that was high in the esteem of God and man. But he told us that his mother was not the first wife in his father's house, and so by Biblical implication, he was born in adultery. If God was to choose by human qualification, He wouldn't have chosen him. He also said that he borrowed shoes to graduate in secondary school. So if God's election was to be by a good financial background, he would not have qualified. He is great and highly placed today by the grace of God.
I have also found out that the highest qualification of man does not impress God. It is only who He decides to have mercy on. Being chosen and distinguished by God does not leave room for human pride; it is not the making of man. It is by the election of God's grace. (Rom 11: 5 -6) No man should be proud over the work of God in his life because he couldn’t have paid for it neither is it because of his capacity; it is the gift of God. Today, be likeminded, that whatever God is doing through you or has given you, you should not develop pride over it. After all, who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? 1 Cor 4:7 NKJV
It is foolish for a man to go around in pride because God is using him. God's power and grace on any man is a gift that God put there. Some people are proud of being 'Men of God', forgetting that the man is not important, it is the God behind the man that matters. Take the God away, and the man becomes nothing. Today whatever God has helped you to achieve or is helping you to do, I want you to maintain a humble posture and not see yourself as more spiritual or better than others around. Recognise that it is only by His mercy and grace that you are who you are. It is because God delights in you that He elected you to stand in that place. Do not give in to pride because if you do, the delight of God will be turned away and that favour will be removed and you will realise that on your own, you are nobody. I pray earnestly that God will never move His grace from your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Say to God, “let grace locate me today”
* Promise God, you will never share His glory.
* Ask God to anoint you today according to His mercy and purpose for your destiny.
* Tell God the more of His grace you receive the more you will return His glory to Him.
* Give thanks for whatever he is doing in your life.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
All my past misfired arrows, go to the right target from today, in the mighty name of Jesus.

The Rich Man And Lazarus

Saturday 5 September
READ: Luke 16:19-31
MORE LESSON: Matt. 16: 26

I saw a video where the image of a former Miss Nigeria when she won the beauty pageant was compared with how she looked before she died. The difference was unbelievable. That clip showed the temporariness of physical beauty. Of a truth, spending all your money and effort on only making up your body and looking good is simply not wise. While your body should be cared for, your spirit is what really counts. The body will end up in the coffin as meal for maggots. Many people spend all their lives preparing their body as good meal for the maggot. Do not let your adornment be merely outward — arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel — rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

In Luke 16: 19 – 31, Lazarus was a poor man who begged at a rich man's table. He died and was carried to Abraham's bossom. The rich man also died and despite all the fine dresses, gold and possession he had, he found himself in hell. We should value spirituality and eternity above earthly possessions by putting the priority on our spirit above our body.

We should know however, that it is not because Lazarus was righteous that he was poor. It is not God's will for a man to be righteous and poor. People become poor as a result of their choices. Poverty is a choice. When a man is tight- fisted and refuses to give, he is making a choice for poverty. Refusal to give to the course of the kingdom is courtship with poverty. When a man focuses on hard work without God, he is choosing poverty. Sin and walking crooked ways also lead to poverty for a believer. Lazarus wasn't poor because of righteousness. It takes spiritual understanding to access wealth.

I pray that God will open your understanding and you will access secrets that will make you rich and righteous. We have so many in scriptures who were righteous and rich; Abraham, Isaac, David, Uzziah- the 16 year old king who prospered as long as he pursued God and many others stand as testimony that you can be righteous and prosperous. We are not commending Lazarus for being poor nor are we saying that the rich man went to hell because he was rich. But we are emphasizing that any man that focuses on the temporary things of the world – possessions, good looks, beauty, fame etc. at the expense of his spirituality and eternity is making a mistake. I pray you will not gain the world and lose your soul in Jesus’ name.

Prayer/Action
* Say, “I shall not inherit the earth and loose heaven”, in Jesus’ mighty name.
* Tell God heaven will remain your priority forever.
* Reject every poverty-induced character in your life.
* Pray for wisdom to be heavenly minded though earthly conscious always.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
All extinguishers of spiritual power, I render you impotent this month in my destiny, in the name of Jesus.

The Profit of Pain

Friday 4 September
READ: 2 Cor 4:17
MORE LESSON: Psa.119:71

Every affliction in the life of a believer has an expiry date. However, while it lasts it should make a believer take a stand of faith. Trials work for us a far more exceeding weight of eternal glory. Though nobody wants or likes affliction, yet the Bible says even when they happen they work for benefits. This seems a hard message but it is true that no matter how bad the afflictions are, there are certain benefits attached to them. That is why David said, It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. (Psa. 119:71). David had profits from his pains. He discovered the statutes and rules. He did not suffer in vain but made gain out of his pain. I pray for you that you will not suffer pain in vain but you see and enjoy gain out of your pain.

There are many people in the scriptures that had pains that became gains. A good example is Job who had a lot of pains but at the end of the day, the pain did not consume him. As for the gain, he had double of everything he lost. Job today has become a reference point of prayer for those who are afflicted, that the same God that helped Job should help them. It simply means then that Job became an example of someone who gained victory over affliction. Affliction is not altogether bad. Paul confidently said that he reckons, admits, and counts the suffering of this present time as a prerequisite for a gain that is weightier than the pain. (2 Cor. 4: 17). Paul was another person who suffered a lot of pain for the sake of the gospel but he never gave up. He stayed on knowing full well that his suffering is not in vain. That affliction in your life is but for a moment, don't give up but rejoice that God has counted you worthy of a greater gain.

The depth of your pain will lead to the height of your gain. The foundation of a bungalow can never be compared with that of a sky scrapper. While the man building a sky scrapper is still digging his foundation, the other man building a bungalow would have completed his building and probably moved in. Your pain is not the same as that of your brother, friend, or colleague. It may be similar and can even bear the same name but before God, your case is unique. Draw lessons from others but never judge the dynamics of your conditions by those of others.

Prayer/Action
* Pray that your pains will become gains in all areas.
* Pray that your pains will not swallow you up in life and destiny.
* Tell yourself that weeping may endure for a night but joy is coming for you in the morning! Hallelujah.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
Father, break every yoke in my life this month and let Your glory not be hidden in my destiny.

Eternity

Thursday 3 September
READ: Rev. 21:1-5
MORE LESSON: 2 Cor. 4: 18

2 Cor. 4: 18 says, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. There is the glory which is eternal- it consists in the unseen and it is permanent. In Rev. 21:1-5, John the Beloved gives us a picture of how he saw a new heaven and the new earth because the old heaven and earth had passed away. He talks about a city prepared for us like an adorned bride. It cannot be overemphasized that this present earth with all its glory will disappear because it is temporal.

During the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ on earth, which will happen immediately after the Second Coming of the Lord, Jesus will call each of the saints to assume glorious positions based on the reward for the works done in the body in this temporal earth. Just like the president of a nation gives out national honours, so will the Lord give us. The glory that will be accorded each man that day will not be temporal; it is for eternity. This is the reason you should do everything godly to qualify for great glory on that day. Everyone will be honoured according to the quality of work done. Some people will be decorated as generals while some on that day will receive nothing as reward. Their only consolation will be that they will not be cast into hell. I want you to labour for eternal glory by serving God with all your might in this temporal world because all the efforts and labours of believers have a fixed day of reward.

A preacher once described eternity thus: it is like a bird picking a grain of sand from one end of the sea shore and travelling to the other end for a thousand years and then returns in another thousand years to pick another. When the bird has succeeded in carrying all the sand by the sea shore to the other side, eternity is just one minute old. From the day I heard that illustration, I became conscious of the awesome length of eternity and made up my mind that I won't go to hell. If you are in heaven, it will be for that long and so it will be for those in hell. Eternity is beyond human minds. Secure your eternity by giving your life to Jesus and living your life on earth for Him.

Prayer/Action
* Speak now to your destiny, that you will not spend eternity in Hell.
* Ask that the blood of Jesus will cleanse you of any thing that could make you lose your reward in heaven.
* Rededicate your life to God’s service and for righteous living by the power of the Holy Ghost now.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
The God that does what no man can do, manifest Your great power in my life now, in the name of Jesus.
